- Medium fatty tuna nigiri set with tempura: 2,618 yen - Assorted deep-fried skewers (8 pieces): 1,320 yen After visiting the Kaiyukan aquarium and feeling hungry, I stopped by this restaurant that was right in front of me. The sushi was delicious, but the tempura was fried like fritters, and the skewers felt like frozen food. The service was okay, but they asked us to order drinks before ordering our meals.

Today I had lunch here. Since the aquarium had entry restrictions, I purchased tickets online and had lunch until the entry time. I ordered the Tempura Soba with Green Onion and Tuna. The soba had a good texture and flavor. The green onion and tuna were also tasty. It came with tempura and chawanmushi, all at a reasonable price. I am satisfied with this set meal even though it is from a chain restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

After visiting Osaka Aquarium, we stopped by here to satisfy our hunger. We arrived at 8:00 pm on a holiday and there were about 4 groups of customers already there. The interior of the restaurant was beautifully designed with a Japanese theme. We ordered the seasonal sushi (2 plates) which had large and delicious pieces of sushi. We also ordered 4 pieces of deep-fried skewers, which were crispy and tasty. Thank you for the meal.

Kishiwada's Ganko Sushi has become a different restaurant. I decided to go to Ganko Sushi at Kansai Airport or Tempozan, and chose Tempozan because you can also play Pokémon there. I often visit Tempozan, but I realized that I had never walked around the restaurant area, and I didn't know there was a Ganko there. The restaurant is quite spacious, and you have to take off your shoes before entering. From our seats, we could see the sea and fishermen. The menu mainly consists of sushi, sashimi, soba, and other Japanese dishes. My grandson, who doesn't eat raw fish, opted for a steak set. All the dishes were elegantly presented, but the rice portion was small! I think men would definitely feel like they need more no matter what they order. Even though I was worried that the rice might not be enough, it turned out to be fine. I think it's a nice place for a meal with older people.

Located on the 3rd floor of Tempozan Market Place. There are table seats and tatami seats, but when I went on a weekday afternoon, the table seats were reserved for school trip students. Students these days have a high budget, haha. I had the sushi set meal with tempura on Monday (1814 yen). The sushi and red miso soup were much tastier than I expected. The sushi was just right in terms of rice and the toppings were also good. The tempura was freshly fried, crispy, and not greasy at all. It was delicious. It was my first time at Ganko, but it was better than I thought. I will definitely visit again.

Before going to the aquarium, we had lunch to fill our stomachs. They were having an eel fair, so I ordered an eel rice bowl. It was delicious.

I went around 3 o'clock, but still had to wait quite a bit. It's summer vacation after all. I waited for an hour at the aquarium, so sitting on tatami mats was soothing. It felt a bit pricey, but the lunch menu was still reasonable. I think I got a set of sushi and soba. Even though I didn't order for the kids, they got a coin for a gachapon. It turned out to be a fake hand spinner.

I had the chance to visit Ganko San located at Tempozan Market Place, which is close to my home but I hadn't been there in a while. It was a Sunday evening and the place was quite busy with mainly Asian tourists. I was guided inside by a woman in a kimono and looked through the menu. The recommended dishes at Ganko San were as enticing as ever. I started with a cold beer, followed by crab gratin, assorted fried skewers, and other favorites. Each dish was packed with flavor! For dessert, I had a sushi platter with a variety of tuna, tempura, cold tofu, and red miso soup. The highlight was definitely the tuna, which was of high quality. It had been a while since I last visited Ganko San, but I was reminded of how delicious their sushi is. The mature service was also excellent. It was a delightful dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the aquarium and enjoyed the soothing sight of the whale shark. Afterwards, I tried a chain restaurant that I had never been to before. The restaurant was quite spacious. It was nice to enjoy a meal or snacks while looking out at the sea. Here are my thoughts on the dishes I tried: - Crab sushi: The crab miso was rich and the crab meat was surprisingly moist, not dry. However, I couldn't really taste the crab in the meat flakes. - Roast beef sushi: I was surprised to find roast beef at a sushi restaurant, but it was actually more delicious than at a typical izakaya. Perfect with a cold beer! - Crab with vinegar and salt: The vinegar flavor was a bit strong and maybe unnecessary. The amount of crab meat was not very generous for the price. Overall, there were a variety of individual dishes available and I would like to try their drinks menu at night next time. Thank you for the meal! (✿˘艸˘✿)

After visiting the aquarium on Saturday evening, we felt hungry and decided to eat at this restaurant which our child chose. I ordered the Chicken Nanban set, my wife ordered the Negitoro Don, and our child ordered the Kids' Plate with Potato Fries. Since our child is small, we requested a table in a sunken kotatsu style. We got a seat with a view of a large ship and the sea. Our food arrived in about five minutes after ordering. The air conditioning was working well, making our dining experience comfortable. The Chicken Nanban set came with croquettes and minced cutlets, making it a satisfying meal. We briefly considered adding udon, but the meal was already filling enough.

We made a group reservation for about 10 people and went for lunch. When making a group reservation, we were asked to choose between Tori Nanban set meal, Sukiyaki, or Steak, so we chose Sukiyaki and Steak. Both Sukiyaki and Steak are cooked over solid fuel, but the Sukiyaki pot took a while to heat up, so we asked for an additional fuel. Even with two solid fuels, it took 25 minutes to cook the meat and the vegetables were still half raw. They served individual customers with a hot bubbling pot on their table. If they had at least cooked it beforehand and then used the solid fuel to warm it up when the customers arrived, we wouldn't have had to wait for so long or eat half-raw vegetables. It was a shame because the sauce was really good. If you are planning to go as a group, please be aware of this.

I went to Osaka Bunka Kaikan in Tempozan with a friend to see Kiyoharu Fujishiro's "Paradise of Light Exhibition". We decided to have a light meal at the food court in the Marketplace since it was lunchtime. However, we couldn't find anything we wanted to eat and the atmosphere didn't feel right, so we ended up going to a restaurant on the 3rd floor. We found a place called Ganko Sushi and decided to give it a try. To our surprise, there were hardly any Japanese people around, mostly foreigners and families. The restaurant had a seating capacity of 172 and was quite spacious. The view from our table, which had a glass window overlooking the sea, was beautiful. We ordered the Special Yawaragi Bento for 1680 yen (excluding tax), which included sashimi, pork shabu salad, appetizers, tempura, seasonal rice (steamed sushi with sakura shrimp), and red miso soup. Until 3 pm, they also offer cake and coffee. The food was plentiful and delicious. Thank you for the meal. (Visited on April 13, 2017)

After finishing up at the aquarium, it was time for lunch. We first tried the food court, but it was full and not very enjoyable. So we moved to the restaurant area on the 3rd floor. Each restaurant had a line, but my son insisted on going to the one with tuna sushi. After about 15 minutes, we were seated at a sunken kotatsu table. There were a lot of people waiting for their orders, so it seemed like it would take some time. We compared the lunch menu and the grand menu. I initially wanted to try Kansai-style eel, but I hesitated since it was a chain restaurant. However, after reading a review about the steak, I was torn. My son went ahead and ordered without me. He always goes for the negitoro wherever we go. That day, the restaurant was full of Chinese tourists, probably because there was a cruise ship from China docked nearby. The bluefin tuna sushi my son wanted was sold out, so he settled for roast beef steak. The steak was thin, but it was juicy and flavorful. I also ordered Kansai udon, as I love the Kansai-style broth.

It's been a while since I went to the aquarium with my girlfriend. We enjoyed the aquarium in the morning and then strolled around Tempozan Market Place. After shopping, it was finally time for lunch! However, Tempozan Market Place was crowded, but we managed to get into Ganko Sushi (^^;) This is the Sushi Takezane that Tsubasa ordered. It's a set of sushi, tempura, and chawanmushi. The sushi was delicious, and the tempura shrimp was hot and juicy - so tasty! Here is the Yawaragi Bento that my girlfriend ordered. It looks like a spring-themed bento for cherry blossom viewing. We could enjoy a variety of dishes and they were all delicious (^^) We also ordered the assorted skewers from the sushi restaurant. It was delicious and enjoyable! There were mackerel, sea bream, and tuna. Tsubasa especially liked the tuna♪ Even though the set meal was filling, it was nice to add some individual items (^^) They also had Nishikiyaki, and we were completely satisfied. Ganko Sushi is a chain restaurant, but it never disappoints. It was delicious once again~~~(*^_^*)

Today, on March 24, 2016, I went on an excursion to Osaka with the destination being Legoland. Before entering, we decided to grab a bite to eat at a restaurant located in the same building. The restaurant was spacious with plenty of tatami seating, making it a good choice for families with children. From the large windows, we could see the harbor in front of us, and the passing ships excited the kids. I ordered the steak set meal (which came with miso soup and chicken nanban) from the lunch menu. When I saw the photo of the steak set meal on the menu, I thought, "This looks amazing for 1166 yen!" and placed my order. However, what was served was definitely "you get what you pay for." I didn't necessarily believe in the photo on the menu, but the meat was definitely different. The chicken nanban also came in two large pieces. The meat was tough and the taste was average for the price. As a chain restaurant in the Kansai region, my expectation that they might be providing good quality meat at a low price through their sourcing efforts was definitely not met. Personally, I value sincerity in the menu offerings, so I will be hesitant to visit "Ganko" in the future. (Well, I'm not from Kansai, so it's not like I need to say this again...)

I visited the aquarium on this day. I arrived early in the morning and finished going around the aquarium by lunchtime. Feeling hungry, I decided to move to the adjacent building called Market Place for lunch. The restaurant I chose was Ganko Kushiya, located on the 3rd floor. The restaurant was already full when I entered, but luckily I managed to get a table. I ordered the Chicken Nanban Set with Udon and the Nabeyaki Udon with Negitoro Set. Unfortunately, the Chicken Nanban was disappointing with tough batter and overly sweet sauce. The Nabeyaki Udon came with Chawanmushi, but the first one served was watery and had to be replaced. Overall, the quality of the food was not up to par with my expectations. Additionally, there is no parking discount available for Market Place, so be aware of that.
