It's been a while since I visited Yakiyaki Miwa-san. I had only been to the Horie branch before, but when I called, they said I could visit the Dotonbori branch. I was able to make a reservation for the same day, but the restaurant was fully booked. - Kimchi assortment 750 yen - Original potato salad with homemade tartar sauce 600 yen - Today's special carpaccio starting from 1,200 yen - Live octopus 1,100 yen - Special thick-cut salted tongue grill 1,800 yen - Miwa-style gratin dynamite cheese bake 1,000 yen - Special salt ramen 1,600 yen I prefer the atmosphere of the Horie branch, but the Dotonbori branch is located on the 7th floor of a building along Midosuji Avenue, so the table seats seemed to have a nice view. As always, Miwa-san's food was delicious. It's a beloved restaurant that I feel like visiting occasionally. However, at the Dotonbori branch, there was a lady who seemed like the proprietress, and when I was taking photos of the food, she asked me what I was going to do with those photos, mentioning something about the president (her son?). This has never happened at the Horie branch, and I saw other people taking photos too. So, maybe it's better not to take photos at the Dotonbori branch.

Everything I ate was delicious. The potato salad, carpaccio, tomatoes, scallops, squid with yellow chives, yakisoba, stir-fried yellow chives, the meat was tender and delicious, garlic rice, and more were all really tasty. The special sweet potato shochu brought by my relatives was also smooth and delicious. Thank you for the feast. It was great to be taken by my younger brother and see Dotonbori after a long time.

Horie branch has been quite neglected, but it's been about 20 years since I last visited this place. I love their soba meshi. I found out they are open for lunch during the day, on the 7th floor of a building. As for the lunch menu: - Pork and leek stir fry: 900 yen - Mixed leek stir fry (pork, octopus, squid, shrimp): 1200 yen - Special leek stir fry (beef tendon, oil residue, potatoes, shrimp, squid): 1500 yen - Wagyu skirt steak 60g with grilled vegetables and leek stir fry: from 2800 yen - Black Wagyu steak with 5 types of grilled vegetables and leek stir fry: from 3800 yen They also mentioned that they can make dinner menu items. I decided to go with the Special Leek Stir Fry this time. They use a special type of leek called Yuzaki Nebuka from Nara prefecture. The finishing touch is squeezing lemon into their special soy sauce broth. It was my first time having leek stir fry in a while. The potatoes from the oden, as always, were delicious. The oil residue was also tasty. This place, Sanrin, is known for their Corocoro Chanpon Mix Stir Fry, Seafood Stir Fry, and Tofu Stir Fry, which are all delicious. That was just the start! This time, I had the leek stir fry or okonomiyaki with potatoes and oil residue topping. And to finish, soba meshi with kimchi, tendon, and oil residue. Sobameshi?! I was amazed back then. That's what I had this time. I think I'll try the sobameshi again next time. I hope the Hawaii and Tokyo branches continue to do well.

I visited for a farewell party for my boss before the third wave of coronavirus hit. The ¥4500 course included a variety of appetizers, pork kimchi, okonomiyaki with sobameshi, and dessert, leaving us fully satisfied. They also offer premium dishes using A5 Wagyu beef from Naniwa. I went to Osaka for work and stopped by here for dinner. As expected, it was delicious! You can enjoy seafood dishes as well as delicious okonomiyaki. I also want to try the Tokyo branch of this restaurant.
