The restaurant was busy when I arrived at 6 pm, but seating was smooth. I ordered the "Kurama" assorted sushi for 2480 yen, a swim-through horse mackerel nigiri for 990 yen, and a draft beer for 620 yen using a tablet. The service was decently prompt. The sushi was tasty, although the rice was a bit on the larger side. The horse mackerel was served whole, including the bones, and was quite filling. Unfortunately, the draft beer didn't taste quite like a typical draft beer. I realized later that I should have splurged on a Spring Valley instead.

"Nigiri Chojiro Miyagatani Store" in Takatsuki City. Arrived at 11:20 after visiting the grave during the Bon festival. The restaurant has a large parking lot and is located next to a McDonald's. It looks very clean and new. The restaurant was about 30% full. There are more box seats than counter seats. Even if 6 adults sit together, there is plenty of space. The ordering system is done through a tablet at each table, but paper menus are also available, which is helpful. We ordered the following: Nigiri Assortment [Kurama] x3 for 2398 yen each, Tuna Assortment for 1298 yen, Wasabi-free Set A for 528 yen, Child Set for 638 yen. With a 5% off coupon from Gurunavi, the total bill came to 9176 yen. You can order nigiri sushi starting from 2 pieces, but the set menus are recommended as they offer a variety of options. The prices are a bit higher compared to 100-yen sushi, but the quality is good. We decided to try the Kurama assortment, which is the third most expensive. The Child Set arrived quickly, and my nephew enjoyed it with the juice and toy included. Other dishes arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. The seared tuna and fatty tuna were delicious, and the eel was thick and high-quality. The seared scallop and seared salmon were also great. The wasabi was mild, so we asked for extra. The chawanmushi was topped with mentaiko, which was smooth and tasty. Everyone was satisfied with the quality, although the prices were a bit high. The tuna assortment was especially impressive, with amazing fatty and medium fatty tuna that my father loved. It's nice to indulge in a bit of luxury sushi once in a while. Many other tables also seemed to order set menus. By the time it was close to 12, there was a short wait, but as the customers who arrived at 11 left, the restaurant quickly emptied out. There were also quite a few takeout orders. They accept discount coupons for 5% off at checkout."

On Monday night, we were looking for a place with parking for a late dinner. Near Takatsuki IC, there are still not many restaurants open. We decided to go to Chojiro, which has parking and the last entry is at 10pm. It was just us when we arrived, which made us feel a bit sorry. Maybe because it was a Monday. It was our first time at this restaurant. Since it's a sushi restaurant, we were fine with just having sushi, but it would have been nice to have some other side dishes too. It seems like it varies by restaurant! The parking lot was spacious and there aren't many family-friendly restaurants nearby, so it was convenient. Thank you for the meal ♡

I used it for lunch during a break. With Nigiri Choujiro, McDonald's, Kirindo, and Seven-Eleven lined up, it has become a small shopping and eating space. Despite the few customers due to the influence of the coronavirus, there was a crowd at Choujiro. There were more than 10 people waiting. Write your name on the waiting board, do a little shopping, and pass the time. When I returned, it was just the right time to be called next. I chose the Ohara (2013 yen) lunch menu. It comes with red miso soup and steamed rice for this price. It is a set of 9 pieces including avocado tuna, squid, seared scallop, sea urchin, raw shrimp, raw salmon, grilled eel, tuna, and egg. I had avocado tuna, squid, sea urchin, and tuna from this set. All of them have a delicious taste of the ingredients. Aoriika Sakura Lemon Salt (396 yen) is a must-try item. The flavor of cherry blossom salt and lemon makes Aoriika even more delicious. I love salmon roe (506 yen). Kyoto-style mackerel sushi (352 yen) is really delicious. Cherry snapper and bamboo shoot sandwiched fried (528 yen) goes well with sake. There are many seats and it is spacious, so it is recommended compared to the Hankyu Takatsuki store. I feel like I want to drink alcohol, but since it's a place where you really need a car, I'm hesitant. The sushi and side dishes (red miso soup and steamed rice) are delicious, so I plan to go eat there again.

Chojuro. A sushi chain restaurant that many people have probably been to at least once. It is a well-known establishment. Near the interchange in a new development area, both McDonald's and Chojuro have opened! For local residents, this is a convenient addition as there are not many dining options in the area. Now, let's start with the exterior. Despite the size of the land, the restaurant is small, with plenty of parking! Of course, being new, the exterior looks clean and modern. The interior is also clean and well-maintained! Chojuro is known for the performance of the chef preparing sushi right in front of you, but on this day, we were seated a bit far from the counter, which was a bit disappointing. Surprisingly, there are conveyor belts for sushi plates, but all orders are placed through tablets and then the sushi is prepared for you. The menu cards mainly rotate on the conveyor belts. As for the taste, the sushi is of consistent quality. On this day, we ordered a set menu along with some individual items. The set menu came with a chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) and red miso soup. The simmered conger eel was delicious and impressive in size! Each piece of sushi was quite large and satisfying. The temaki hand rolls we ordered separately were so good that they brought tears to our eyes! They were delicious but be prepared for the size! The side menu item, the fried chicken, was also tasty! In the world of revolving sushi, will Chojuro, a long-standing leader in the Katsuragawa area, finally have a rival? Competition will hopefully bring more vitality to this area. Thank you for the meal!

Visited in February 2020, posted on February 21st (all information is from the visit) (prices include tax) - I went to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant that opened on February 14th. It is located next to the recently opened McDonald's Hiyodai store on the road leading towards the interchange. The parking lot is vast and very easy to park in. The entrance to the restaurant has automatic doors and a slope. Inside, there are 6 counter seats, 3 tables for 4 people, and 9 tables for 6 people. I visited on a weekday around 5 pm, and it started to get crowded around 5:30 pm. The age range of customers was high, and I was the only solo customer. Orders are placed using a touch panel. I had... - Non-alcoholic beer ¥418 (I was driving) - Half and half swimmer mackerel ¥1012 - Hokkaido assortment ¥858 (Botan shrimp, salmon, ikura, uni) - Popular assortment ¥836 (Chutoro?, sweet shrimp, seared salmon, eel) - Fried eggplant miso ¥132 Total including tax was ¥3256. The bones of the swimmer mackerel can be fried in oil and turned into bone senbei. There is no parfait like the one at the Takatsuki Hankyu store. When I visited, a sharp female sushi chef made the sushi in front of me, enhancing the deliciousness. I usually use conveyor belt sushi restaurants where robots make the sushi rice, which is good enough, but occasionally having sushi made by a person makes it even more delicious. Check out the blog version for easier viewing of photos if you'd like.
