Well, let's continue our fun restaurant hopping adventure with the impromptu owner of Busse Yakiniku restaurant. The second stop is a place just a short walk from the previous "Daimaru-ya" called "Sakumurai." The name of the restaurant is a clever play on words, reminiscent of an old-fashioned coffee shop. It's located in Ikuno-ku, Koji Higashi, with the nearest station being Koji Station on the subway line. It's also within walking distance from Kintetsu Shuntokumichi. Upon entering the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a counter and a few seating areas in the back. The atmosphere is clean and relaxing. There's a sign on the door advertising their specialty, "Hamamatsu Gyoza." Intrigued by the recommendation, we decided to try it out. I ordered a chu-hi and we were served a small appetizer called "Tsukidashi," which had a refreshing, slightly sour flavor. It's a nice palate cleanser while enjoying drinks. Next, we ordered the "Sashimi Assortment," which is said to come with a generous amount of sashimi on a bed of seafood salad. The assortment included fresh abalone, sea bream, yellowtail, and more, all beautifully presented and delicious. For the main dish, we tried the "Hamamatsu Gyoza," which had a sweet and savory flavor profile, complemented by the sweetness of cabbage and crunchy bean sprouts in between bites. The owner, his wife, and his mother were all very friendly, and we even chatted with a classmate of the owner who happened to be there. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made our dining experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place for a casual family meal or a night out with friends. I left feeling full, satisfied, and grateful for the wonderful meal.TEL: 06-6754-3749Address: 6-10-15 Koji Higashi, Ikuno-ku, Osaka, Osaka↑ Why not take a peek? ↓ Japan Blog Village
