I went to a steak restaurant that opened in a Big Boy's former location. I had been watching the renovation work from the beginning and was a bit surprised by the cost-cutting measures they seemed to have taken. The landscaping looked haphazard, and I wondered if they would serve delicious food. For only ¥1000, you can eat authentic steak with miso soup and rice. I hoped the food would be good. When I entered, I was a little surprised by the atmosphere, which felt like a budget renovation. It almost felt like a dormitory. The place had just opened, but there were quite a few customers. The system was like a food court - you order at the register and pick up your food when a bell rings. They had a large thermos for soup and a machine for miso soup. There was seaweed, kimchi, and pickles available. The steak I ordered was served quickly and was tasty, although it lacked side dishes. The rice wasn't very good. The harami and chicken were disappointingly small. Despite the food, the place was busy with customers. Overall, I don't think I'll be coming back for a second visit. I returned my dishes at the return counter. I realized that everyone has different values when it comes to food. Taste is important, but so are the situation, ambiance, and atmosphere. Dining involves all five senses, and this experience was a good reminder of that. The staff, however, were kind, and that was a saving grace.

The wait for the order is long. Maybe the menu is hard to understand? I was able to order smoothly the second time, so it doesn't seem like the staff is slow. The cost performance is not as exceptional as I initially thought. It tastes delicious when eaten with just wasabi, but I wonder if the wasabi is okay not to be refrigerated?

On February 2, 2023, the "Wonder Steak Tsurumi Ryokuchi Store" opened in Osaka, Tsurumi Ryokuchi. They offer rice, miso soup, and pickles as all-you-can-eat self-service. The Bucket W Chicken Steak Set is priced at 1000 yen (excluding tax), but for the opening celebration on the 9th and 10th, it is only 500 yen (excluding tax). This chicken steak set includes 400g of steak, so it's very satisfying to eat.

A steak restaurant that opened on September 2 at the former Big Boy location, where you can eat steak starting from 1000 yen. Their specialty is using lava stone plates for cooking. Despite expecting long waits on the second day, there were surprisingly few people, and we only had to wait for about 10 minutes with 3 groups ahead of us. You can have unlimited rice, miso soup, and pickles. I had the rib roast, my wife had the sausage and harami combo, and our child had the cheese-filled hamburger. You go pick up your cooked meat when it's ready. They give you a buzzer like in food courts, and our order was ready in about 15 minutes. The cost performance is excellent, but the service could be better. It would be nice if the staff brought the meat plates to the table. Thank you for the meal.

I enjoyed being able to eat lean meat at an affordable price. You order first, then prepare your own sides while the meat is cooking. When the meat is ready, you go pick it up. I added harami to the lean meat and a big frank to the sirloin, and they were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The only downsides were that ordering took a while and it was difficult to carry the tray. It would be better to secure a larger seating area.

The tax-free 1,000 yen Wonderful Combo might be a good deal. I entered the restaurant close to closing time at 9 pm, but they still took my order even though it was past the last order time. Surprisingly, nights end early here.
