【Asakusa】Small Izakaya Bar Fujifuku vol.2025 Today is Asakusa Day✨, so I visited Fujifuku, a place I wanted to try, as they have lunch service only on Sundays! During the Golden Week period, they were specially open for lunch! They offer two types of lunch sets, vegan and meat-based. The vegan lunch set includes 7 dishes for 1300 yen. They first served 4 dishes. The 5-vegetable potage was gentle and creamy. The enoki mapo tofu rice bowl was served with brown rice. These kinds of dishes are not commonly found in restaurants, so I was very happy. The grilled turnip was also delicious. For dessert, we had homemade brown rice sweet sake. It's impressive that they make sweet sake using brown rice! I also only make brown rice sweet sake✨. The proprietress even came out to see us off to the storefront, so I asked for a commemorative photo! I asked about the reason for starting vegan dishes, and they mentioned being inspired by the vegan cuisine at PQ's, a vegan cafe in Asakusa. Given the touristy nature of Asakusa, with many international visitors seeking vegan options, it seems that actual vegan visitors from overseas also come. While Fujifuku mainly operates at night, they offer several vegan options in the evening as well. They also offer vegan courses by reservation, so I recommend making a reservation when you visit.
