I had already finished dinner, but I felt like having a drink. However, I try to refrain from going to bars even if I'm alone at night, so I decided to have a drink at the hotel. The area I was in had a good selection of affordable accommodations and delis that caught my interest, but oh! There's a supermarket called Tamade here. I don't have this in my usual area, so I have to go there. The neon lights shining brightly are dazzling. It's great that they're open 24 hours. It was around 8:30 pm on a Saturday, and there were many customers before and after me. Perhaps because of the time and the place, there were many people looking for dinner. First, I got a 99.99 Clear Dry for 93 yen (excluding tax). It was light, so I chose this one. The store has a good size and a wide variety of products that are great for everyday use, but I felt that they particularly excel in deli and alcohol products. I also got a homemade deli for 110 yen. It contained 3 skewers of grilled chicken thighs, green onions, and skin. It was cheap. However, they were skewered on sturdy bamboo sticks with the words "secret charcoal-grilled" written on them. No way...it can't be a secret. They were all relatively small, so the sweet sauce flavor was the main focus. I had expected this, but it had been a while since I had eaten such chewy skin. The chicken thighs were soft, probably imported chicken...the sauce flavor was more noticeable than the salt. The green onions had a good texture and chewiness compared to the chicken thighs and were delicious. I also ordered a sashimi platter for 480 yen. It included salmon, sea bream, tuna, and amberjack, with wasabi and shiso leaves. If this were a seaside town, it would be expected, but this is cheap! Overall, the cuts were good, and the freshness was decent. The staff at the register was not very friendly, but they accepted PayPay, which was convenient. I would like to try other deli items next time. Thank you for the meal!
