This was my third visit. The noodles have a good level of spiciness, a firm texture, and the ingredients such as ground meat and Chinese cabbage are delicious. It's a delicious bowl of ramen with a well-balanced taste in all aspects. It is run by siblings and I look forward to their future success. Thank you for the meal.

I rode my bicycle to the neighboring station with the goal of trying the tantanmen. When I arrived, I saw a sign advertising a limited quantity yuzu salt ramen for 1000 yen, and after some hesitation, I decided to purchase this meal ticket along with a char siu rice bowl for 300 yen. The restaurant seemed to be run by a unique brother and sister duo. I took a sip of the soup and thought it was not only light but also had a delicious richness to it. The thin slices of char siu were also quite tasty. Overall, it was a well-balanced and delicious bowl of ramen. The char siu rice bowl came in a small bowl with a generous serving of rice and plenty of bonito flakes on top, topped with thin slices of char siu. It was delicious as is, but could also be enjoyed by pouring some of the soup over it. Thank you for the meal.

The hot days make me crave something spicy. I visited a newly opened restaurant that I heard about five months ago. I ordered the signature dish, white sesame tantanmen for 900 yen, with the second level of spiciness out of four choices. I also ordered a side of bonito rice for 150 yen. The place is usually run by two people, but today the male owner was handling everything alone, even managing the second floor. When the dish arrived, I took a sip of the soup and thought, "Wow, the sesame flavor is strong, the spiciness is just right, and the aroma of the spices is great." The medium-thick curly noodles turned out to be a perfect match. It was nice that you could freely add extra spices and chopped green onions at the counter. I have a feeling I will become addicted to this place. Thank you for the meal.

While looking for something spicy, I stumbled upon a tan-tan noodle shop in the neighborhood! It was a bit hidden and hard to find. I chose the black tan-tan noodles and ordered them with 2 levels of spiciness (which were free up to 2 levels). I added extra toppings like ichimi pepper and sansho oil since they were unlimited. The tan-tan noodles were more tasty than spicy, so even those who don't like extremely spicy food can enjoy it as a delicious ramen dish. The curly noodles paired well with the soup, which was so delicious that I ended up finishing it all. I also had a Sapporo Red Star beer (medium bottle for 400 yen), which was quite cheap. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back again.

Today (6/5), I visited this restaurant located a few minutes' walk from Higashi-Mikuni Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line. I had been curious about this place since it opened in February, and finally had the chance to visit. Upon entering, I was torn between getting the "White Sesame Tan Tan Men (900 yen)" or the "Black Sesame Tan Tan Men (900 yen)" when I looked at the ticket machine. I usually go for the former, so this time I chose the latter, purchased my ticket, and took a seat at the counter. The bowl arrived quickly, with simple toppings of minced meat, bok choy, and chopped green onions on top of the pitch-black soup. When I took a sip of the soup, a rich black sesame aroma and flavor hit me hard. I ordered the normal level of spiciness, but the sesame flavor was so strong that I hardly felt any spiciness. I probably could have handled a +2 level of spiciness. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles that coated well with the soup, but with this thick consistency, any type of noodle could work. However, as I continued to eat, I started to get tired of the overwhelming sesame flavor. Despite managing to finish it, I found this Tan Tan Men to be a bit different from the usual ones and not quite to my taste. That sums up my overall experience.

I visited "Kaoru no Shirokuro Buran" for lunch. We arrived on a Sunday around 12:55 with my second son. There were 5 people in line in front of the store. It was the last day of the One Coin Day promotion. We waited for 13 minutes before being seated at the counter on the first floor. We ordered a total of 1,250 yen worth of food tickets, including White Sesame Tan Tan Men (600 yen), White Sesame Tan Tan Men (500 yen), and Bonito Flakes Rice (150 yen). The boiled egg was originally not cut, but they kindly cut it for us when we mentioned that we wanted to share it. The food arrived in about 7 minutes. The White Sesame Tan Tan Men had a strong sesame flavor with medium-thick curly noodles, spinach, ground meat, and green onions as toppings. The soup was delicious. The Bonito Flakes Rice was available in a larger portion this time, and we enjoyed mixing it with the remaining sauce after finishing the noodles. The restaurant is conveniently located near Higashi-Mikuni Station on the Osaka Metro, about a 3-minute walk from either the north or south exit. It's not on the main street, but it's a good place to visit for delicious food and good service.

Two weeks ago, I went for the white tantanmen for a coin, but this time when I tried to order the black tantanmen, it was the regular price. I hesitated between getting the white tantanmen or soy sauce ramen for a coin, but ended up getting the white tantanmen again with a boiled egg for 600 yen and a large serving of chashu rice bowl for 350 yen, totaling 950 yen. I added as much green onion as I wanted and changed the flavor by adding a little bit of flower pepper oil, chili pepper, and other spices. It wasn't too spicy with level 2 spiciness, but as I kept changing the flavor, I started sweating. The tantanmen here is really delicious. The chashu rice bowl, even in a large serving, was the same price of 350 yen. The lightly salted chashu was also delicious. Even in a large serving, the rice was about a regular portion. I think it would be easier to eat if they made the bowl a little bigger so the chashu wouldn't spill. I wish they offered a large serving of noodles as well. I finished all the soup. Next time, I will try the black tantanmen at the regular price. It was very delicious.

- Ordered item: Chashu White Sesame Tan Tan Men for 1100 yen
- Dish: W Soup with White Soup and Clear Soup. They use medium thick curly noodles. It seems to be an arrangement from the usual ramen. The price is a bit high, but it's satisfying. It was already open before I noticed. The soup is thick, so it clings to the noodles and ends with a rice dish. A delicious bowl!

"Black Sesame Tantan Men" for 900 yen. The soup is thick and black with a moderate spiciness and a subtle sesame flavor. The noodles are medium thickness and curly, with a good chewiness that pairs well with the soup. Toppings include Chinese cabbage, meat miso, and green onions. The restaurant is relatively new, with only a few counter seats on the first floor and additional seating on the second floor. The soup is rich and thick, but surprisingly not too heavy. You can customize the spiciness with toppings like green onions, chili peppers, and Sichuan peppercorns. It was quite numbing. Thank you for the meal.

This is a Sichuan-style noodle shop near Higashi-Mikuni on the Osaka Metro. They offer "White Sesame Dan Dan Noodles" and "Black Sesame Dan Dan Noodles" for 900 yen each. You can choose the level of spiciness from mild, normal, +1, and +2. They also have a "Aged Soy Sauce Ramen" for 800 yen. Payment is by cash only through a food ticket system. The noodles are thick and curly, with a rich sesame paste soup that has a strong Chinese spice flavor and a noticeable numbing sensation from the Sichuan peppercorns. However, the sesame flavor seems to lack depth and complexity, leaving a bit of a one-dimensional taste. The shop has a small kitchen and around four seats on the first floor, with additional seating available on the second floor. It was not crowded during a weekday evening, with only a few customers present. If you enjoy rich sesame-based dan dan noodles, you may also like "Kyobashi Sasara."

I found a flyer in my home mailbox and decided to visit the nearby restaurant. When I arrived before the opening time of 11:30, there were about 20 customers lined up ahead of me. I ordered the white sesame tantanmen (which was only one coin) with rice for $1 (large serving for free). It was the first time in a while that I had delicious tantanmen. The green onions were unlimited, and I added some flower pepper oil and chili halfway through, which also tasted great. Even though I chose the +1 level of spiciness, I ended up sweating after finishing the broth. The two beautiful female staff members in the kitchen and the busy male staff member on the floor were working efficiently and it felt pleasant. I'm thinking of trying the black sesame tantanmen next week.

I visited "Kaoru Shirokuro Braun," which opened in Yodogawa-ku, Osaka City about three months ago, for the second time in about a month. I knew that this weekend and the first weekend of June were offering meals for a very low price, so I decided to visit. I arrived with my second son around 12:30 on Saturday. There were about 15 people waiting in front of the store. We waited for about 40 minutes before being seated. This time, I purchased meal tickets totaling 1,250 yen, which included: - White Sesame Tantanmen 500 yen (normally 900 yen) - Ajitama White Sesame Tantanmen 600 yen (normally 1,000 yen) - Katsuobushi Rice 150 yen I asked to have the ajitama egg cut in half and served separately so that my son and I could share it. I requested the spiciness level to be +1 for me and normal for my son. The food was served after about an 8-minute wait. The White Sesame Tantanmen (with half an ajitama egg) had a strong sesame flavor in the spicy soup, with medium-thick noodles. The toppings included minced meat, spinach, green onions, and an additional ajitama egg. The Black Sesame Tantanmen I had last time was also delicious, but this White Sesame version was equally tasty. I enjoyed the meal and even finished the katsuobushi rice by dipping it into the remaining soup. Although the store is conveniently located near the station, it is not in a very busy area, which may explain the promotion for meals at a low price. I hope this promotion will attract more customers to the restaurant.

I visited "Kaoru Shirokuro Braun," which opened in Yodogawa-ku, Osaka City two months ago, for lunch. It is located a 3-4 minute walk from Higashi-Mikuni Station on the Osaka Metro. There are no restaurants in this area with parking or parking services, but this restaurant provides a 30-minute coin parking service voucher in front of the store. On a Saturday at around 12:50 pm, my wife, second son, and I entered the restaurant and purchased meal tickets totaling 2,950 yen:
- Ajitama Kuro Goma Tantanmen: 1,000 yen
- Kuro Goma Tantanmen: 900 yen
- Shiro Goma Tantanmen: 900 yen
- Katsuobushi Gohan (bonito flakes rice): 150 yen
It is a small restaurant with two floors, with counter seats on the first floor and table seats on the second floor. We waited at a 4-person table on the second floor and received our dishes in about 5 minutes.
Ajitama Kuro Goma Tantanmen: Tantanmen usually comes in white or golden sesame flavors, but I tried the black sesame one. The soup had a strong sesame flavor and was delicious. The medium-thick curly noodles mixed well with the soup. The ingredients included spinach instead of komatsuna, which felt unusual, along with minced meat, green onions, and ajitama (flavored egg). After finishing the noodles and ingredients, I also tried the katsuobushi gohan, which was quite tasty.
My wife had the Shiro Goma Tantanmen, and I tasted a bit of the soup, which also had a strong sesame flavor and tasted quite good. From entering the restaurant to finishing our meal and leaving, it took less than 30 minutes. We enjoyed our meal in a parking service setting, with virtually no cost for the coin parking. The service from the male and female staff was good, and we were able to enjoy delicious Tantanmen comfortably. It was a great restaurant that made us want to come back again.

The tantanmen is delicious! The noodles are chewy and the soup is rich, but the time it takes for the food to be served is too long. I visited for lunch on a weekday, but entering after 12 o'clock meant finishing after 1 o'clock... It's a shame that they serve such delicious tantanmen but take too long.

I went for lunch on April 13, 2023. I had informed them previously that I can get stomachaches from the alkaline in the noodles. When going out for lunch with colleagues, they used to avoid ramen for me, but now that I'm in my fourth month at my new job, they are no longer accommodating. Finally, I went to a ramen shop in Shin-Osaka. The signature dish seems to be tantanmen, but I decided to try the Char siu aged soy sauce ramen for 1,000 yen. The shop is very small. The elderly female staff member seemed to still be in training and was a bit clumsy. The presentation of the Char siu in the bowl was not very appealing. However, the taste was not bad. It had a base of aged soy sauce with chopped yuzu, giving it a refreshing taste. The noodles did not seem to contain alkaline, as I did not experience any stomachaches.

A new Sichuan-style noodle and ramen shop near Higashi-Sangoku Station. It is a two-story shop renovated from an old house. The first floor has a counter, and the second floor has table seating. Looking at the ticket machine in front of the entrance, it seems that the basic menu includes white sesame tantanmen, black sesame tantanmen, and aged soy sauce ramen. For the tantanmen, you can choose the spiciness level from "mild, regular, +1, +2." Other menu items include rice, bonito rice, chashu bowl, almond jelly, etc. It seems that extra noodles are not available at the moment. I ordered the "White Sesame Tantanmen" for 900 yen with regular spiciness and "white rice" for 100 yen. It arrived in about 6-7 minutes. The appearance looks very thick and rich, and delicious. The toppings are minced meat miso and Chinese broccoli. There are green onions, Sichuan pepper oil, vinegar, shichimi pepper, black pepper, chili pepper, and a powder mixture of Sichuan pepper and chili pepper on the table. The soup is incredibly rich with a strong sesame flavor, creamy and delicious. It reminds me of the richness of the Kinjojima Tantanmen that used to be in Nishinakajima. They seem to use plenty of sesame without hesitation. The noodles are medium-thick curly noodles that go well with the soup. It was also delicious to put rice in the leftover soup. I enjoyed it while changing the taste with vinegar and Sichuan pepper oil. I was able to meet a delicious tantanmen after a long time. The staff's service was also polite and good.

I went to "Ramen and Tan Tan Men Kaoru Shirokuro Blanc" near Higashi-Sangoku Station. It is a new ramen shop that opened in February 2023. The interior of the shop has counter seats on the first floor and table seats on the second floor. The menu includes white sesame tan tan men, black sesame tan tan men, and aged soy sauce ramen. I bought a ticket for the egg black sesame tan tan men with bonito rice. I chose the normal level of spiciness for the tan tan men. The black sesame tan tan men has a very distinctive black soup. The soup has a rich sesame flavor and aroma, allowing you to fully enjoy the deliciousness of black sesame. The base of the soup, made from animal bones and pork, is also flavorful and rich. The spiciness and numbing sensation are well balanced even at the normal level. There is also chili powder and Sichuan pepper oil on the table for additional flavor. Adding some Sichuan pepper oil enhances the base black sesame soup. The medium-thick curly noodles have a firm texture that pairs well with the soup. The rich tan tan men goes perfectly with the bonito rice, which can be enjoyed as a side dish. Leaving about half of it for the end, the bonito rice mixed with black sesame makes for a flavorful finale. I enjoyed the delicious black sesame tan tan men and look forward to trying other items on the menu at the same shop. Thank you for the meal.

After a week of taking power naps, I felt surprisingly energetic... or maybe dangerously so? On a day like this, I needed something spicy to eat! So, I went to "Kunru Black and White Branch" for some spicy sesame tantanmen. Since they were closed on Sunday, I decided to give it another try!
- Arrival time: 11:25 AM
- Waited for 5 minutes before entering
- The restaurant is located in a renovated old house and looks very clean and well-maintained.
I ordered the white sesame tantanmen with an extra spice level. It arrived in 7 minutes, which is pretty average. Despite being told that it was quite spicy, I didn't have any issues with the extra spice level. I actually think I could have handled another level of spice. The white sesame flavor was rich and prominent, while the sweet and savory meat miso added a nice touch. The only downside was that the soup base seemed a bit diluted compared to the strong sesame flavor. The spice level was surprisingly mild, which left me feeling a bit unsatisfied given my sleepless night. However, adding the Sichuan pepper oil provided at the counter really kicked up the heat! The addition of vinegar also enhanced the dish, complementing the rich sesame flavor with a hint of sweetness. Although there was also pepper available, I chose not to add it this time. Overall, the combination of these three condiments was well thought out to cater to different preferences and enhance the overall experience. In the end, the dish turned out to be incredibly delicious and exactly to my liking. It was so tasty! Thank you for the meal.

White Sesame Tan Tan Men (Regular) (Animal-based + White Sesame 900 yen) ★★★☆
The soup is a white sesame flavored base made from pork bones and chicken bones. The noodles are medium-thick curly noodles. The ingredients include ground meat, green onions, and bok choy. This restaurant opened near Osaka Metro Higashi-Mikuni Station on February 23rd. I visited promptly based on information from Rinrin. The thick soup made from pork bones and chicken bones, with a bit more chili oil added, has a rich finish with the mellow richness of white sesame sauce, the tingling sensation of Sichuan pepper, and the spiciness of chili oil. You can choose the level of spiciness. The noodles are made by Inoue Seimen and have a chewy texture that pairs well with the soup. You can enjoy different flavors by using the provided green onions, Sichuan pepper oil, pepper, and vinegar. The owner of this shop received several hints from the owner of a shop in Abiko that they frequented before opening this shop. (Recommendation: Try the soup)
