Fukuoka City Chuo Ward Akasaka 3-chome area - located along the Kegomicho Street, an 8-minute walk from Sakurazaka Station on the subway and about a 15-minute walk from Akasaka Station. After the Olympics, as expected, there has been a sharp increase in COVID-19 nationwide, and Fukuoka Prefecture is also taking measures to prevent the spread! Many shops in this area have closed until August 31, but this place continues to operate with "shortened hours" and "takeout", not disappointing the expectations of the local residents. As a result, there are more customers than expected due to neighboring shops being closed! However, with Fukuoka also transitioning to a "state of emergency", what will happen to the ongoing situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and self-employed individuals such as restaurant owners? Alcohol is no longer served, which feels like a setback, but... I filled my stomach while enjoying the classic and new menu items with a non-alcoholic beer! The recommended classic dish is definitely the "smoked dishes" - "pork spare ribs", "chicken wings", "smoked potato salad", etc., are all delicious recommendations! The skewers are all delicious with perfect grilling by the owner, but "pork belly" and "chicken wings" are a must-try. The new menu items "pork lettuce wrap" and "garlic chive liver skewer" were also delicious! With a variety of a la carte menu options, you won't get bored. The usual "pork miso grilled rice ball" is always a great way to end the meal. Even the somewhat flashy staff members seem to have tidied up and are wearing their white uniforms properly, showing some improvement. It's important to think not only about oneself, but also about the customers, and this reflects in their behavior. I hope the owner and staff will continue to update and improve the restaurant. It's a yakitori izakaya that I would like to visit occasionally! Thank you for the meal. Enjoy Gourmet Life☆

I used it for a social gathering. (There was no private room, so I honestly hesitated until the last minute to use it.) We asked for a la carte all-you-can-drink instead of a course. The food was neither good nor bad, just average yakitori. It wasn't particularly delicious. It's just a normal yakitori restaurant. It's a shop run by someone who used to work at Hachibei, so I had high expectations. Even when we rang the call bell, they didn't notice unless we called out loudly multiple times. The drinks for the all-you-can-drink were slow, but the a la carte dishes we ordered came out quickly. Overall, the service was mediocre. I don't think I'll be coming back here. *As usual, I didn't manage to take photos of all the dishes.

The seasoning of the skewers was a bit salty, but overall they were delicious. The staff were very friendly, the restroom was clean, and you can have as much of your favorite skewers as you want. It's a relaxed and enjoyable experience without the pressure of trendy omakase courses, and it's also very affordable! It's more fun to have conversations here than at fancy yakitori places. I'll definitely go back soon!

I felt like having yakitori in Kagurazaka, and while I have been to most of the Yakitori Hachibei branches, I had never been to this one before! I was able to make a quick reservation even on the same day, and we sat at a table in the back with 5 people. The voice of the master is resonating nicely! There were many skewers that suited my taste. The saltiness was just right and delicious! The spare ribs were also delicious with a strong flavor. Beer, highball, and yakitori are the best! I will definitely come back again! Thank you for the meal!

The most delicious dish was the liver! It had no unpleasant smell and was incredibly tasty. I also tried the liver and leek skewers for the first time, and they were delicious too. It's something that I feel like I want to eat again soon! Although it's a yakitori restaurant, the sesame marinated mackerel had great texture and was delicious. Additionally, the spare ribs were cooked to my liking in terms of flavor and doneness. Thank you for the meal!

*Food*
I ordered pork belly, chicken tenderloin, gizzard, tail meat, Unzen ham, lotus root, yam, etc. Overall, it was delicious. Especially the chicken tenderloin and lotus root were great. The recommended salted minced cutlet had a strong meaty flavor and was juicy. The recommended pounded thigh meat of the old chicken was a bit disappointing as the center was still frozen and crunchy. The potato salad had a strong sweetness from the potatoes, which I liked. I would like to order it again. It would be nice to have a bit more variety on the menu. The drinks selection was rich, and there was an all-you-can-drink option for individual orders.
*Atmosphere*
The restaurant has a counter with about 10 seats and a few table seats. It was always full, so I think it's better to make a reservation before visiting. The place was almost full, and there were also customers taking out, so the staff seemed busy, making it a bit difficult to order, but their attitude was very good.

Yakitori Yakitori Ibushi-za This yakitori restaurant is top-notch when it comes to grilling the skewers. They offer a variety of skewers, including rare cuts like liver, asparagus wrapped in pork, jumbo shiitake mushrooms, and more. The grilled tomato with ponzu sauce and the pork miso grilled onigiri are also delicious. The highball drinks are great too. The combination of tasty food and drinks makes this place popular, so it's recommended to make a reservation in advance as it can get crowded. #Yakitori #Rice is great #Liver with mustard #Bonjiri's oil #Sand grits are protein #Grilled onigiri #Yakitori with yuzu pepper #Highballs are easy to forget.

It doesn't really matter, but recently my acquaintance has been calling izakayas like "Wai Wai" or "Wai Gaya" as "Wai Wai Donburi." It's a generation gap. I've been curious about this yakitori restaurant that I often pass by, so I made a reservation and visited on the weekend. The restaurant was quickly full, showing how popular it is. It's hard to catch the attention of the staff, but that's the case everywhere with the shortage of manpower. Oh well. You can choose a jockey or a black beer for your beer. I like black beer, so this was a pleasant surprise. We ordered sashimi, skewers, and a few other dishes little by little. The amberjack sashimi was thinly sliced but delicious. The skewers were solid and good. It wasn't like "super delicious," but it was just delicious. It's nice that they give you mustard and such to go with it. The smoked chicken wings unanimously tasted like sausages, which was funny but a bit disappointing that most of the oil had dripped off. We had a decent amount to eat and drink, and it cost around 3000 yen per person. So cheap! I think the cost performance is good. The salaryman group next to us was having a great time, which was fun to watch, so it would have been even better if the seats were a bit more spaced out. Thank you for the meal~

Appetizer: Smashed Cucumber, Vinegared Mozuku Seaweed, Smoked Egg Potato Salad, Yakitori (Chicken Skin, Chicken Breast with Plum, Chicken Liver), Smoked Scallop Tarachangja. I finally tried Ibushi-Za, which I had been curious about for a while. Why is smoked food so delicious and captivating? The yakitori was quite ordinary, but I think there was another smoked yakitori option on the menu. Potato salad can taste very different depending on the restaurant, so I always feel like ordering it (laughs). The smoked egg in the potato salad was super delicious! The potato salad itself was not too mayonnaise-like, which I liked. It was a busy Saturday, so the restaurant was packed. Overall, the food was just delicious. There are still many places in Ikedeguchi that I want to visit.

The shop is promoted by the phrase "trained at Hachibei," so the preparation of yakitori skewers is solid. What sets this shop apart from others where the chefs trained at Hachibei is the variety of smoked dishes offered. Thanks to the smoked dishes, the shop has transformed from just a yakitori place to a more distinctive presence.

I want to eat yakitori → Search for yakitori in Fukuoka City Chuo-ku. I called the restaurant that caught my eye and was able to make a reservation at the last minute. My husband and I visited the restaurant. The place is located in a side street off the main road in the Imakaku dining area, diagonally opposite Yakitori Kawaya. The owner trained at Yakitori "Hachibei" before opening this restaurant in February 2017. It is a restaurant where you can enjoy smoked dishes. The name of the restaurant is the same as the name itself. The exterior and interior are stylish and lovely. There are counter seats and table seats. The table seats were full, and there were only 2 groups at the counter. We were also guided to the counter seats. I liked the cute tiles on the counter. There was a smoking machine in the kitchen. I forgot to ask, but I wonder if they use cherry chips or something like that. Menu items: Smoked egg potato salad, Vinegar oysters (2 pieces), Crab cream croquette (a rich croquette with real crab meat), Snap pea rolls, Pork belly, Afka meat (smoked cheese), Grilled beef cheek meat, Chicken skin, Chicken tenderloin, Chicken gizzard. All the skewers were delicious, and the single dishes were also tasty. The course meals with all-you-can-drink start from 4000 yen, which is very reasonable. It's a restaurant that is easy for solo female diners to enter. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Akasaka Ibushi Zasu-san! I decided to drop by without a reservation, but luckily they had a spot for me at the counter. The restaurant has a counter in a "ko" shape and tables in the back. I ordered pork belly, liver, beef cheek meat, skin, green onion wrapped in pork, sausage, quail, and pork miso rice ball. Everything I tried was delicious! The skin skewers were especially crispy and tasty. I usually like to finish my meal at a yakitori restaurant with grilled rice balls, and the pork miso rice ball here was a big hit! The stylish lemon sour with a lemon slice attached to the glass was also good. I still feel like I want to eat more, so I plan to visit again soon. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I always passed by and was curious about this yakitori restaurant. I was lucky to get in without a reservation when it opened. The food was delicious and the service was polite and clean. This yakitori restaurant is now my number one choice in the neighborhood.

The food was great. However, the amount of shochu was a bit small. Therefore, I deduct one point.

You can enjoy delicious and affordable yakitori for 150 yen each here. While the chicken may not be a famous brand with rich flavor, items like chicken liver and gizzard were tasty. We ended up spending 8000 yen for two people, including drinks, which was great value for money. The seasoning tends to be on the sweeter side, and they serve it with mustard like in Fukuoka. Some people may have preferences regarding this.

We went as a family. Since it's a yakitori restaurant, the yakitori was very delicious! The pork belly skewers were also easy to eat, thick, and tasty. The dishes were a bit on the pricier side, but delicious. The drink menu had a wide variety of rare sours and fruit liquors, making it rich. I think it's also easy for women to visit. The freshly squeezed lemon sour and grated pear sour were delicious!
