A stylish yakitori restaurant opened in Shinbashi on December 1st. The interior is clean and chic with calm lighting, perfect for dates, girls' nights out, or drinking parties. What's surprising is the prices. The cheapest course is 2800 yen for 11 dishes. We ordered the most popular Karasumori course this time and we were full. The sashimi and appetizers served in small dishes are delicious. The plates are also cute. The volume is outstanding, with delicious chicken and vegetable skewers, and we were full by the end. You can choose from 3 types of rice, but the oyakodon is recommended! I will definitely come back again. -------------Order------------- * Karasumori Course 15 dishes / 3800 yen - 2 appetizers - White soup - 2 sashimi dishes - 6 yakitori skewers - 3 grilled vegetables - Meal (chicken soba) (minced meat bowl) (oyakodon +250 yen) * Other courses available! - Takumi Course 11 dishes / 2800 yen - Goku Course 18 dishes / 4800 yen * There is a 300 yen charge for appetizers. -------------Points------------- - Look for the hidden crows in the restaurant! - Counter seats and table seats available! - The grilling is also excellent!

This is a cost-effective yakitori restaurant. It is located next to Uson Jinja shrine and has a nice atmosphere, but the problem is that it is very cold inside due to the wind coming in through the door. I would not recommend sitting at the counter in winter. Every time the door opens, cold air comes in, making it hard to relax. It's a shame because the food is good.

On this day, I had a dinner meeting with a president who came from Osaka. It had been two years since we last met due to the pandemic, so it was nice to catch up. We made a reservation at "Karasumizushi" near Karasumori Shrine in Shinbashi. We chose the Karasumori course for 4180 yen. The course included appetizers, clear soup, simmered tripe, and raw minced chicken to start. The yakitori course consisted of six skewers, starting with chicken tenderloin. The dishes were served on stone plates, which was nice. Sashimi was served individually, along with the yakitori. After chicken gizzard, we had vegetables such as shiitake mushrooms and shishito peppers (I forgot to take photos as we were engrossed in conversation). For the final dish, we had a choice between bamboo shoot rice or cold noodles, and we chose the cold noodles. It was incredibly delicious! I really enjoy yakitori courses. I was quite impressed and would love to come back. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It had been a long time since I last went for drinks in Shinbashi. I had been avoiding it because I had the impression that the area was too crowded with restaurants. However, I decided to visit a newly opened yakitori restaurant near Uchimori entrance in Shinbashi, just a 3-4 minute walk from the shrine. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful and spacious, with a cozy counter and a few table seats, which I personally liked. I was torn between three different courses, but I ended up choosing the recommended "Uchimori Course" (3800 yen) by the staff. The course included a clear soup, two appetizers, and two sashimi dishes. The appetizers were delicious and satisfying. The yakitori skewers in the course consisted of 6 types of chicken skewers and 3 types of grilled vegetables, all of which were excellent. The course content changes daily based on the chef's recommendations, which was great. The chicken meat was juicy and incredibly tasty. The spacing between dishes was just right, and the skewers were served freshly grilled in front of us, making the experience even better. I would recommend sitting at the counter for a party of two. The drink menu ranged from beer to unique options like AYAME's soda with sansho pepper spirits (a rare find). I also tried the rare "Wild Rabbit Running" whiskey on the rocks for the finale. For the ending, you can choose from three options, and I opted for the oyakodon with chicken soboro, which was incredibly delicious. The portion size was satisfying, and I left the restaurant feeling very pleased with the meal. I was surprised to find such a great yakitori restaurant in Shinbashi, where even solo diners can feel comfortable. I will definitely be visiting again soon!

I heard that a new yakitori restaurant opened just a 3-minute walk from Ushigome Exit in Shinbashi, so I went to check it out. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and has both table and counter seats. Since there were two of us, we chose the "Ushimori Course" in the middle (3,800 yen). The course included: - Clear soup - 2 types of appetizers - 2 types of sashimi We started with some beer and enjoyed a variety of appetizers, such as rich chicken soup, chicken shinjo, chicken soboro, lotus root chicken yukke, baguette pate, and more. The appetizer course was very satisfying, especially the flavorful soup. Next, we had 6 types of yakitori and 3 types of grilled vegetables. The yakitori included chicken breast, negima (chicken and leek skewers), heart, liver, thigh, and more. The vegetables were ginkgo nuts, eggplant, and quail eggs. The yakitori was incredibly fresh and juicy, each skewer carefully grilled over charcoal, resulting in an elegant flavor. I was impressed to find the rare mountain pepper shochu "AYANE" on the menu. For dessert, we had wild rabbit running and a rock. To finish, we chose chicken soba, soboro bowl, and for an additional 250 yen, we could have chosen oyakodon. I opted for the chicken soba, which had a rich and delicious soup, perfect for a satisfying end to the meal. Overall, it was a very satisfying course with a wide variety of dishes. Shinbashi has many casual izakayas serving yakitori, but it's rare to find a yakitori restaurant offering such a course menu. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and I was thrilled to discover such a wonderful yakitori restaurant in Shinbashi. I highly recommend it for business entertaining or dates.

Shinbashi is a familiar hometown-like town, and it has been a while since I visited at night. To my surprise, a stylish yakitori restaurant had opened on the approach to Karasumori Shrine without my knowledge! I seem to have become an old man who is surprised and bewildered by the accelerating trend of sophistication in the Shinbashi area. Oh, no, I'm not losing to the young people yet... The restaurant has a modern Japanese design with full glass windows. You can see the inside of the restaurant, so it's reassuring even for first-time visitors. With the name Karasumori, a crow mark welcomes you. The simple layout consists of a counter and table seats, and since there were two of us, we were seated at the counter. There are three course options, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. We ordered the "Karasumori Course" in the middle, which costs 4,180 yen including tax. We toasted with a draft beer called Master's Dream and were soon served two appetizers. - Hebessu with demon grated salt ponzu & bran pickles The restaurant is known for using Miyazaki's brand chicken called "Miyazaki Jitokko," but I wonder if there is a connection with Hebessu, a specialty citrus fruit from Miyazaki. Next, we were served with white broth soup and two appetizers. - White broth soup - Liver pate - Simmered chicken skin All of them were high-quality dishes that raised our expectations. We also had two types of sashimi: chicken breast and raw tsukune. The chicken breast was a fresh dish with wasabi and green onions, while the raw tsukune had a fresh and mild taste that could be described as fresh chicken yukhoe. When it comes to chicken, I thought that the taste would be rich and rustic with a distinctive flavor, but "Miyazaki Jitokko" has a taste that everyone can enjoy. We ordered recommended sake, Yuki Daruma, and enjoyed various grilled skewers such as: - Chicken tenderloin - Chicken head and green onions - Pecorino cheese - Zucchini - Gizzard (not on the menu) The chicken tenderloin had a juicy and tender texture that was not typical of local chickens, with a moderate firmness and a lingering umami that gradually followed. The final skewer was the highlight, a tsukune wrapped in back fat. It was a perfect finish that skillfully expressed the approachability and depth of flavor unique to Miyazaki's "Miyazaki Jitokko." For the finish, we chose chicken soba. The clear soup and chewy noodles made for a wonderful combination. I was completely captivated by the charm of Miyazaki's "Miyazaki Jitokko" in just one night.

In a quiet back alley in Shinbashi, right next to Karasumori Shrine, there is a stylish yakitori restaurant called "Karasumori Shimizu" that overturns the image of a typical yakitori place in a good way. The cute crow symbol of the shop and the simple, modern interior make it look nothing like a yakitori restaurant at first glance. It seems like a great spot for a date or to impress female guests, but due to its location in Shinbashi, there were also male customers enjoying their meals. We tried the popular "Karasumori Course" (¥4,180 tax included), which includes 6 skewers of yakitori and 3 grilled vegetable dishes among 15 items in total. The appetizers were "nukazuke" and "oni-oroshi no Heihei vinegar salt ponzu," both refreshing palate cleansers between the yakitori dishes. The course started with a "white soup" that had rich chicken essence, perfect for warming up the body and nourishing the skin. The two appetizers, sweetly seasoned "simmered chicken" and easy-to-eat "liver pate," were delicious and paired well with drinks. We started with a Hakushu highball, followed by a refreshing Koshu white wine. The sashimi dishes, "kelp-marinated chicken breast" and "raw tsukune," had a subtle kelp aroma and enhanced umami flavors. The yakitori skewers of chicken breast, quail egg, gizzard, cartilage, liver, and tsukune were cooked perfectly over charcoal, delivering a delicious and juicy taste. The Miyazaki chicken yakitori was flavorful and had a great texture, with the "quail" wrapped in skin and the "tsukune" wrapped in net fat being personal favorites. Although tempted to order more, we saved room for the final meal section. We chose the "chicken soba" for the meal, which had a rich but not overpowering chicken soup and chewy noodles that were very satisfying. The value and quality of the food at this restaurant are excellent for customers, although it seems like the shop is prioritizing customer satisfaction over profit. Next time, we look forward to sitting at the counter seats in front of the grilling area to enjoy the experience even more.

After returning from work, my colleague and I visited Karasumori Shrine for a prayer, and then we were drawn to the stylish exterior of a nearby restaurant and decided to go in. We were seated at the counter promptly, as it was early, but the table seats were soon filled up. Luckily, we managed to get in! We decided to try the recommended course menu, the Karasumori Course, priced at 3800 yen. We started with a toast with a draft beer and were served appetizers right on time. We enjoyed the homemade pickled vegetables and lotus root with Hebesu salt and ponzu sauce. The lotus root was refreshing and crispy, very delicious! The rich white soup served next had a thick and hot broth, stimulating our appetites. The liver pate and simmered chicken skin that followed were both excellent. The simmered chicken skin was slightly sweet and had a nice chewy texture. The first sashimi dish was marinated chicken breast with grated green onions as a condiment. The freshly made chicken meatball was outstanding! It was made with both thigh and breast meat, seasoned with sauce and quail egg. The yakitori dishes were served in a good order, starting with chicken tenderloin, neck, skin, zucchini, ginkgo nuts, liver, and gizzard. The finale was a hot and delicious chicken meatball grilled on a net. The variety and quality of the skewers were satisfying. Finally, we enjoyed a refreshing white soup ramen to finish the meal. Despite being newly opened, the restaurant's popularity is understandable given the quality, quantity, and taste of the dishes. I would definitely like to visit again!

Usumori Shimizu Last December, I visited Usumori Shimizu, a yakitori restaurant that opened behind Usumori Shrine in Shinbashi. The restaurant has a bright and stylish glass interior where you can enjoy course meals. This time, I tried the most popular Usumori course. - White Soup Started with warming up the stomach with a white soup that has a strong chicken flavor. - Master's Dream Sipped on a Master's Dream draft beer, which was a nice touch. - Grated Daikon with Vinegar A light and refreshing grated daikon with vinegar, served with hebesuponzu. A bit unusual but interesting. - Pickled Vegetables Pickled vegetables to cleanse the palate. Let the feast begin! - Liver Pate and Quail Egg Soy Sauce Pickle Served in small dishes, the liver pate and quail egg soy sauce pickle were rich in flavor. The quail egg had a slightly firm texture, and the flavors were well infused. The liver pate spread on bread was thick and flavorful. Resetting the palate with pickled vegetables. - Chicken Breast Sashimi Fresh chicken breast sashimi that was tender, without any unpleasant odor. A delightful dish to enjoy. - Raw Tsukune Raw tsukune made with minced chicken, offering a unique texture. Served with a rich egg yolk and sauce, it provided a different taste experience from the sashimi. - Chicken Tenderloin Grilled chicken tenderloin with green onions. Crispy skin and juicy meat, a classic yakitori dish. - Zucchini Lightly seasoned zucchini with a refreshing taste. - Fruit Tomato Tomato with peeled skin, grilled to enhance its sweetness. - Chicken Tail Fatty and sticky chicken tail, offering a rich flavor. - Gizzard Chewy gizzard with a strong meaty taste. - Tsukune Wrapped in Fat Tsukune skewer wrapped in fat, bursting with juicy flavor. - Oyakodon For the finale, a choice between chicken soba, minced chicken bowl, and oyakodon. I opted for the oyakodon, which was not overly sweet but had a light broth. The variety of dishes and skewers served were overwhelming. Sprinkling some sansho pepper on top enhanced the flavors even more.

The yakitori restaurant that opened right near Shinbashi Station had a nice and calm atmosphere. We tried the "Karasu Mori Course" which starts with a glass of Koshu wine. Various small dishes were served first: "Oni Oroshi" with hebesu ponzu, refreshing "Nuka-zuke," "Liver Pate" that paired well with the white wine we ordered initially, a rich and creamy "Shiratama Soup," lightly warm and delicious "Quail Egg Soy Sauce Pickle," "Nama Tsukune" with a chewy texture, and "Chicken Breast Sashimi" which was very moist and tender. We enjoyed shochu and then switched to Yuzu Highball, which we really liked. The tableside sansho pepper was so delicious that we added more. Then, yakitori and grilled vegetables were served one by one: moist "Sasami," juicy "Kashiwa," fragrant "Shiitake," watery "Zucchini," easy-to-eat "Sunagimo" and "Bonjiri." The Yuzu Highball paired wonderfully with all the dishes. The "Fruit Tomato" and "Liver" with a not too sweet sauce were to my liking. The "Tsukune" wrapped in back fat had a slightly crunchy texture and a perfect balance of saltiness and richness. After finishing the skewers, we could choose a meal: the "Oyakodon" was a bit pricey but very filling. The skewers were chef's choice, so we tried some things we wouldn't normally choose, but they were all delicious. The grilling and seasoning were just right. The alcohol also went down smoothly. One particularly impressive thing was how tasty the tableside sansho pepper was.

I invited a friend who loves yakitori and visited Shinbashi's newly opened restaurant, Karasumori Shimizu, last December. It's located just a 3-minute walk from Shinbashi Station, right near Karasumori Shrine. The glass-fronted exterior is stylish and eye-catching, while the cozy interior with a warm wooden feel provides a relaxing atmosphere. There are three courses available, and we opted for the most popular "Karasumori Course (¥4,180 including tax)." We started with a toast with Hakushu Highball and enjoyed two types of appetizers: pickled vegetables and grilled chicken with ponzu sauce. The clear soup was rich and flavorful, followed by delicious dishes like simmered chicken, liver pate, and chicken breast sashimi. The grilled items were also excellent, including tender chicken skewers, quail eggs, and various vegetables. The meal ended with a choice of chicken rice bowl, minced chicken bowl, or parent-child bowl, and I chose the minced chicken bowl, which was ginger-flavored and slightly sweet. Overall, the quality of the Miyazaki chicken was outstanding, and the charcoal-grilled flavor was exceptional. The service by the female staff was friendly and welcoming, making it a great place for various occasions like dates or girls' night out. I will definitely be returning for more!

I visited a stylish yakitori restaurant located near Shimbashi Station, next to the approach to Karasumori Shrine, during dinner time on a public holiday when the area is the quietest. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with both counter and table seating, making it suitable for dates as well as business dinners. I reserved the Karasumori course featuring Miyazaki Jidori chicken grilled over binchotan charcoal. In addition to yakitori, the course included various side dishes, palate cleansers, and soup, providing just the right amount of food to enjoy with drinks. The Miyazaki Jidori chicken was a highlight, with a rich umami flavor that even those who are not fans of strong chicken flavors would appreciate. The chicken tataki was particularly surprising, as it was mostly rare with a slight sear. As someone from the Kanto region, I had rarely eaten chicken raw until I became an adult, so I was amazed by its deliciousness. The chicken white broth soup, chicken stew, liver pate, and raw tsukune all showcased the natural flavors of the ingredients. The skewers started with chicken tenderloin, which was light and refreshing yet packed with flavor. The high-quality binchotan charcoal imparted a gentle charcoal aroma without overpowering the natural flavors of the ingredients. Even though I am not usually a fan of chicken thighs or bonjiri, I found them delicious at this restaurant. The skewers had a good texture and were perfectly cooked without any shrinkage or stress on the meat. The liver skewers were addictive with their sweet sauce, and the tsukune wrapped in back fat had a coarse grind that highlighted the meaty texture. It would be nice to have some wet wipes or paper towels to clean up any sauce left on the plate after the skewers are served. The meal ended with soboro rice bowl, which had a gentle seasoning and paired perfectly with the rice. The course did not include dessert, but having something sweet at the end would have increased satisfaction.

A friend and I had a New Year's gathering that also included a visit to the Karamori Shrine in Shinbashi for Hatsumode, and then we went to a place called "Karasu Shimizu" nearby. This restaurant opened in December 2021 and offers rare Miyazaki Prefecture local breed chicken called "Jitokko" for their yakitori. The restaurant has a chic atmosphere with a glass exterior and a crow symbol as its logo. We tried their most popular "Karasu Course" which included 15 dishes such as 2 appetizers, clear soup, 2 sashimi dishes, 6 yakitori skewers, 3 grilled vegetables, and a choice of main dish (chicken soba, minced chicken bowl, or parent and child bowl). With the complimentary dish, we had a total of 17 items that day. The dishes before the grilled items were served relatively quickly, which was great when you're hungry and just want to start eating. The sashimi was made from chicken, showing their confidence in freshness. The chicken tataki was tender and sweet, paired well with the ponzu jelly. We also enjoyed a glass of white wine, Koshu, and a black dragon (Crystal Dragon) sake from Fukui. The grilled items were served one by one, allowing us to enjoy different parts of the chicken in succession. The liver was particularly delicious, with a nice bounce and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. We ended the meal with the parent and child bowl, which was hearty and satisfying with chunks of meat and creamy raw egg yolk. The soup was so tasty that I also want to try their chicken soba. The staff were attentive, even bringing a knee blanket when I put on my jacket. Overall, the food and drinks were delicious, and the calm atmosphere of the restaurant makes it a great recommendation for when you're looking for a nice place to eat in Shinbashi.

Near the Uson Shrine. A stylish shop with glass windows. The character of the shop, a crow illustration, was lovely! Despite the adult and high-class atmosphere, the prices were reasonable. I ordered the course for 3,800 yen (excluding tax). In conclusion... the cost performance is amazing! I thought it was a shop worth knowing. The appetizers were grated radish with Hebespon vinegar and pickles. I had never heard of Hebes before, but it was clear from the taste that it was well done. The two appetizers were to my liking. The liver pate was a perfect match on French bread! The chicken stew was a rare miso stew made with chicken, with a sweet seasoning that was gentle on the palate. The sashimi and fresh tsukune were both excellent, showcasing the seriousness of the shop. I was impressed by the deliciousness of the almost rare chicken meat that I had never eaten before. When my stomach was just right, the yakitori dishes were brought out one after another, with perfect quantity and timing! The yakitori dishes included chicken breast, chicken, eggplant, gizzard, lotus root, chicken tail, cartilage, liver, and tsukune. They were all delicious! The chicken breast with wasabi had just the right amount of rareness. The eggplant and lotus root, despite being vegetables, received high praise! The eggplant was juicy and delicious. The lotus root was soaked in dashi soy sauce, with a crispy texture that was excellent. The gizzard cartilage with sauce was delicious. The crispy texture was also excellent. The drinks paired well with the yakitori, and I enjoyed the Masters Dream and white wine with friends. The crisp dryness of the wine paired well with the yakitori. I finished with a bit of sake, trying the Kuro Ryu Crystal Dragon. It was an elegant, deep, dry daiginjo. I was able to fully enjoy the food and drinks. The service, which was prompt and cheerful, and the energetic staff were also excellent.

Located on a side street off the approach to Ueno Shrine, this shop caught our eye with its stylish and inviting atmosphere that can be seen clearly from the outside. We were drawn in with a friend and decided to try the course menu, which was a great deal at 4,180 yen (tax included). The course included a variety of dishes and drinks, such as a Masters Dream cocktail, appetizers like grated radish with Hebespon vinegar and homemade pickles, a white wine, a clear broth soup, sashimi-style chicken breast and tsukune, red wine, various grilled chicken skewers, and a choice of chicken soba, minced chicken bowl, or oyakodon for the main dish. The food was delicious, the wine was excellent, and the overall experience was perfect for a relaxed evening out in Shinbashi. Highly recommended for a date night or a casual hangout with friends.

It's been a while since I met up with a friend for a meal♪ We got off at Shinbashi Station, crossed the intersection towards the New Shinbashi Building, and headed towards the Karasumori Shrine. I heard about a trendy yakitori restaurant that just opened in December, so we decided to check it out - Karasumori Shimizu. The restaurant had a stylish look through the glass windows, making it easy to spot even for a meeting place! We had made a reservation for a course, so we enjoyed catching up while starting our meal. First, we toasted with Jasmine tea and had some homemade nukazuke (rice bran pickles) and Kibioroshi Hirube vinegar ponzu pickles, followed by a warm white broth soup which was perfect for the cold weather. We then had two appetizers - liver pate and simmered chicken, both delicious. The sashimi included kelp-marinated chicken breast and raw tsukune (chicken meatballs), which were both flavorful and enjoyable. Finally, we had a variety of yakitori skewers, including chicken tenderloin, thigh, vegetables, gizzard, heart, and liver, all cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed a refreshing plum wine soda with our meal. For the main course, I chose the oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl) which was hearty and delicious. The spacious interior of the restaurant made it easy for us to chat and have a great time. It was a fun and delicious dining experience in Shinbashi, and I was pleasantly surprised by the trendy and stylish atmosphere of the restaurant. Highly recommended!

Near Shinbashi Station, there is a yakitori restaurant located close to the shrine on the SL side. It is a lovely restaurant with a counter and table seating. We tried the Torimori Course for 3800 yen. Here is what we had: - Appetizer: Homemade pickles and vinegar-soaked daikon radish - White broth soup: A warming soup with a strong chicken broth flavor - Two appetizers: Liver pate and simmered chicken, both with a sweet miso flavor - Sashimi: Kombu-marinated chicken breast with a firm texture - Raw tsukune: A cute miniature dish similar to yukhoe - Chicken breast with wasabi: Fresh and slightly rare inside, served with shichimi and sansho pepper - Chicken thigh wrapped in skin: A unique combination of crispy skin and tender chicken - Pekoros: Small pickled onions - Zucchini: Alternating between meat and vegetables - Gizzard and heart: Salty and chewy, very tasty - Ginkgo nuts: Delicious and wish there were more - Liver: Sweet and savory sauce pairs well with the liver - Chicken wings: Large wings with easily removable bones - Oyakodon: We chose the oyakodon option, which had tender chicken and raw egg yolk topping - Overall, the yakitori full course for 3800 yen was a great value. They served a variety of dishes including appetizers, small plates, and alternating between meat and vegetables. The portion was just right, not too much.

When I wanted to enjoy wine and yakitori, I used to go to Ebisu, but finally, a fashionable yakitori restaurant opened in my neighborhood! I've been wandering around the area near Karasumori Shimizu Shrine because there are various interesting shops there. "Karasumori Shimizu" is located just off the main street, but the restaurant itself is stylish and definitely catches the eye! It seems like it just opened on December 1st last year (there was a poster on the storefront). I reserved the "Karasumori Course" for 3,800 yen, which includes clear soup, 2 appetizers, 2 sashimi dishes, 6 yakitori skewers, 3 grilled vegetables, and a choice of rice dishes (chicken soba, minced chicken bowl, oyakodon +250 yen). In conclusion, it was a very satisfying course. The simple and stylish atmosphere of the restaurant is something you don't often experience in other yakitori restaurants in Shinbashi. At least, it was my first time experiencing it. You can sit back and relax, and there is plenty of table space. The dishes are quite numerous, with appetizers and side dishes. Each dish is beautifully presented. For the drinks, the Koshu white wine was the first choice. In other Shinbashi yakitori restaurants, beer and yakitori are the usual combination, but here, wine and yakitori go surprisingly well together! The "Master's Dream" draft beer was the second choice. Even though I was teased by my companion for ending up drinking beer, the Master's Dream draft beer was really delicious. The third choice was the lemon sour. The lemon sour was also beautiful in appearance and taste, and it was the most impressive lemon sour I've had recently. The food is better understood by looking at photos rather than reading descriptions. Each dish is served meticulously, making you forget you're in a yakitori restaurant until the skewers arrive. The explanations of the dishes are very clear, and the service is extremely polite. Particularly memorable dishes from the course include the "Chicken Breast Tataki" and "Raw Chicken Meatball" sashimi dishes. The grilled vegetables had a perfect crunch. Eating them made me happy. Among the yakitori, the last "Grilled Meatball Wrapped in Fat" was the most impressive. It was a bouncy meatball. For the final course, I chose the "Oyakodon." I don't usually end with a rice bowl, but the yakitori was so delicious that I thought, "I'll definitely regret it if I don't eat Oyakodon here!" and a mysterious switch flipped in my mind. The hot rice, bouncy chicken, delicious egg - it lived up to my expectations. I'm very satisfied! I'm so happy that such a restaurant opened in my neighborhood. I'll definitely go again!

After finishing work on December 30th, to celebrate the end of the year, I decided to have some classic yakitori in Shinbashi, a sacred place for salarymen. Instead of the traditional smoky and crowded spot, I opted for a more modern and clean restaurant with proper measures against infectious diseases. Located right next to the entrance of Karasumori Shrine, Karasumizuki offers a cafe-like atmosphere that is perfect for a meal with a female companion. Choosing various skewers is fun, but I decided to go for the recommended course. I warmed up with shochu mixed with hot water while savoring the rich paitan soup. It was so comforting on a cold day. Then, I enjoyed homemade nukazuke, spicy grated daikon, and sesame-dressed chrysanthemum greens as gentle appetizers. Each dish had a homey and soothing quality. The sashimi was kelp-marinated chicken breast, tender and flavorful. It went well with the drinks. The raw tsukune was beautifully presented and had a deep flavor without any unpleasant rawness. Next, I tried the skewers starting with my favorite salted chicken tenderloin with wasabi. It was tender, delicate, and had a subtle chicken taste. I wanted another one immediately. Grilled vegetables included eggplant and lotus root. As the drinks kept flowing, I ordered another shochu with hot water, this time opting for rice-based. It was soft and easy to drink. Back to the yakitori, I indulged in liver skewers on a boat-shaped plate. The charcoal grilling gave them a crispy and fragrant finish. It suddenly hit me that it had been a long time since I last visited a yakitori restaurant. I had been craving it during the COVID-19 self-restraint period, so I was delighted that my wish finally came true. The quail eggs were half-cooked and creamy, while the tsukune wrapped in chicken skin had a crispy texture. For the finishing touch, I could choose between ramen, oyakodon, or soborodon based on my fullness level. Feeling quite satisfied, I opted for chicken soba. The light salt ramen was just the right amount and was a perfect end to a delicious meal. Thank you for the feast.

I had my last yakitori dinner of the year at "Karasu Shimizu," a newly opened restaurant in a building just a 5-minute walk from SL Plaza at Shinbashi Station, with Karasumori Shrine in the background. The atmosphere at Karasu Shimizu is calm and serene, a stark contrast to the bustling image of Shinbashi. The restaurant is adorned with the trademark "karasu" logo throughout, adding a cute touch to the ambiance. We opted for the "Karasumori Course" which offers great value for money. The meal started with various appetizers, followed by yakitori. The dishes were meticulously prepared and delicious. The yakitori was cooked to perfection, with each skewer bursting with flavor. The meal ended with a choice of rice bowls, and I selected the "soboro bowl" which was a delightful end to the feast. Overall, a fantastic dining experience at Karasu Shimizu!

Located in a charming alley near Karasu Shrine, this restaurant has a sophisticated atmosphere with a focus on lighting. The staff are experienced and welcoming. The menu is diverse and perfect for both sake enthusiasts and women. I tried the Karasu course for 3800 yen (excluding tax), which offers a variety of small dishes that are sure to impress. The soup and simmered dishes were particularly delicious. My friend raved about the liver pate. The sashimi was beautifully presented with flowers. The grilled chicken was perfectly seasoned and the portion size was just right. I especially enjoyed the soft-boiled quail egg and peeled mini tomatoes with the grilled vegetables. For the finale, you can choose from three options: chicken soba, minced chicken bowl, or parent and child bowl. I opted for the parent and child bowl for an additional 250 yen. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommended!
