It was delicious in general, but it was a bit nonsensical that the fried rice I ordered as the last dish arrived first, while the yakitori and appetizers I ordered as snacks came quite late. However, the atmosphere of the staff was very good and it was a pretty nice restaurant.

MAKI-BUDOU, a popular yakitori restaurant and sister store of Toribudou, is located in the area between Yakuin and Watanabe Street. In addition to yakitori, they offer creative skewers and a variety of other dishes. They also have a wide selection of domestic wines, highlighting the marriage of wine and food. The seating mainly consists of tables with a total of 36 seats. While we opted for a la carte dining this time, they also offer course menus with all-you-can-drink options. We only have photos of some of the dishes we ordered. For our first drink, we ordered the perfect highball, a stylish highball with Scotch whisky like GLENMORANGIE and a hint of orange fragrance. The appetizer was a chawanmushi with a sweet flavor of new onions. We debated between pork shabu salad and Caesar salad but ended up choosing the classic Caesar salad, which was topped with shrimp mayo and never disappoints. We ordered a variety of skewers, and each one was delicious, showcasing the quality of Toribudou's sister store. For creative skewers, we tried the spring cabbage roll, enoki mushroom roll, and mentaiko lotus root roll. The spring cabbage roll was interesting with its okonomiyaki-like twist, while the enoki and lotus root rolls were delicious classics. The amber skin, a specialty limited to two per person, was also addictive with its chewy texture. For the finale, we opted for the pork soba, which had a clear pork bone broth and was light and satisfying as a closing dish. They offer a wide variety of other dishes, so we are looking forward to trying more options next time.

Located in Nakasu, Fukuoka, "MAKI BUDOU" is a trendy restaurant perfect for dates or girls' night out. The stylish interior and cozy atmosphere make it great for enjoying a leisurely meal and drinks. They offer a wide variety of skewers, all of which are delicious. The omurice here is irresistibly tasty. Price range is around 3,000-3,999 yen per person.

I happened to pass by and decided to go in. The prices were a bit high, but everything I ate was delicious! When it comes to Fukuoka, you have to try chicken skin. I've had it at various places, but it's really delicious. It's crispy and you can eat as many as you want.

I recently visited TORIBUDOU and now I came here again haha. When I asked my colleague who came to Fukuoka on a business trip what they wanted to eat, they said yakitori, so I suggested vegetable wraps and guided them to this place. The chicken skin is a Fukuoka specialty called "guruguru" chicken skin. It's delicious. The pork belly is thick and juicy, simply the best. However, what impressed me the most that day was the fried chicken (^○^). It's not only juicy when you bite into it, but it also has a refined taste with a lot of meatiness, making it satisfying with just one piece. I definitely want to eat this again next time. I indulged in ordering and eating meat as my desires led me, so I was full. The restaurant was relaxed that day, so I was able to enjoy my meal leisurely. I will definitely come back again ^ - ^

The Amber Moon was closed, so I went to the neighboring affiliated restaurant. The atmosphere was a bit different and it was a bit noisy, but the food was consistently delicious with the same chef. It's a shame that you can only eat a little bit at a time and get full, but I will visit again. ☺️

Stylish yakitori restaurant. Good points: - Stylish atmosphere that doesn't feel like a typical yakitori place. Seems suitable for girls' night out. Many female groups and young couples were seen as customers. - Overall delicious food. Disappointing points: - Extremely slow service for food. Waited 1 hour for the skewers to be served. Last order announcement made before the first order was even complete... ending up with drinks piling up on empty stomachs. - Many items were sold out. Craft beers were both out of stock despite arriving in the 6 pm range. Hugely priced sashimi platter (salmon, amberjack, sea bream, mackerel - 2 pieces each for 2400 yen). - Seating time was limited to 2 hours, but 7 skewers were served 10 minutes before the end. With the next reservation waiting, rushed to eat and leave. Some skewers never even arrived... The food is delicious, but there are other stylish and delicious yakitori places out there, so not likely to repeat here. More suitable for a second stop or for those who want to relax with wine. Not recommended for those who are hungry or want to fully enjoy the food.

I came across a "lunch recommendation" and decided to give it a try. The restaurant used to only operate at night, but they have started serving lunch due to the current situation. The interior of the restaurant is stylish and doesn't look like a typical yakitori place. They take temperature checks upon entry and have proper infection prevention measures in place. They offer several lunch menu options, but you can't visit a yakitori place without trying their yakitori, right? The yakitori lunch set (980 yen including tax) includes "tsukune," "seseri shiso roll," "lotus root with mentaiko," "pork belly," and "negima." All the yakitori were delicious, but I particularly enjoyed the lotus root with mentaiko and seseri. The lotus root with mentaiko had a crunchy texture from the lotus root and a nice kick from the mentaiko. When you calculate the prices of the individual yakitori, just these 5 skewers alone would cost over 900 yen, so the lunch set is a good deal. The set also includes salad, pickled cabbage, and shiny rice. The soup had chicken cartilage dumplings which added a nice flavor. It was a stylish and delicious yakitori lunch. It seems like they will continue serving lunch for the time being. They also have a variety of a la carte dishes, so I might consider revisiting for dinner sometime.

The order, chicken skin, and vegetable skewers were all delicious. It was disappointing that there was a limit of two chicken skin skewers per person, but the real highlight was the creative skewers. Each one was cooked perfectly, allowing you to fully enjoy the texture of the vegetables. The sauces were also very tasty, and overall, the quality was high.

The sister restaurant of the popular yakitori restaurant "Toribudou," specializing in creative skewers, called "Makibudou," has opened. Located on the first floor along a street off Watanabe Street on the Jounan Line. Just like "Toribudou," this place is stylish and offers a variety of domestic wines. In addition to creative skewers, they also serve sashimi, omurice, spicy noodles, and other dishes. Enjoying a draft beer from Heartland, we tried the appetizer "Salmon Marinade" and snacked on "Beef Carpaccio." Highly recommended skewers include "White Liver with Gorgonzola Miso," "Negi Shio Pork Tongue Skewer," and "Basil Chicken Roll." I love the "Asparagus Cheese Roll with Parmesan Cheese" and the "Beef Sukiyaki Roll," which are fun to dip in plenty of egg for a variety of harmonious flavors. I look forward to challenging more creative skewers on my next visit soon. The chouchin was a regular menu item and the variety of chicken skin was good. It was very cold every time someone entered or exited near the entrance, so it would have been nice to have blankets or something.

The atmosphere, taste, and service are amazing! I highly recommend the salt truffle tsukune. I will definitely visit again. I couldn't try everything I wanted on my second visit, so I am looking forward to going back. 4.8 stars.
