After leaving Asahi Shokudo, I walked to the next casual dining restaurant. I arrived right at 12:00 and there were no customers before or after me, which was a bit embarrassing. I decided to try the Yakimeshi (fried rice) for 500 yen. They prepared it with ham, kamaboko (fish cake), onions, carrots, green onions, and eggs in a wok. The aroma of soy sauce and sesame oil towards the end was really nice. It only took about 5 minutes for the dish to arrive. Wow, it looks so delicious. It was served hot and tasted amazing. The bright red Fukujinzuke (pickles) from China added a nice touch. I am completely full now. Thank you for the meal.

I entered around 2:30 in the afternoon. It's a nice shop that is open while many other shops take a break from 2:00 to around 5:00. Inside, there are about 12 seats with 6 seats at the counter facing the kitchen and another 6 seats at the counter facing the wall. A man was running the shop alone. I was unsure of what to eat, but this time I chose the omurice. It was only 500 yen and was made in a Chinese wok, with chicken rice and an omelette cooked together to create the omurice. While it's not uncommon to find omurice in Chinese restaurants, it seems that many casual dining establishments and cafes also use Chinese woks for cooking. Perhaps because a Chinese wok can easily make 3 to 5 servings of yakisoba, it is commonly used by men for cooking, while cafes run by women tend to use frying pans. This omurice was made with ketchup and it was hard to tell if there was chicken in it or not. The chicken rice was fluffy and the flavor was rich, not needing Worcestershire sauce. It was very delicious.
