This is my second time at this restaurant. I remember it being delicious a long time ago, but I didn't realize they had such a wide variety of menu items. I had the thin noodle char siu ramen. For the extra serving, I tried the thick noodles. The noodles were firm, so I think the thin noodles are better, but the thick noodles would have been delicious with a normal or soft texture. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing work, I went to Kinryu in the neighborhood for the first time in a while. It was delicious! I added pickled mustard greens to the fried rice, making it pickled mustard greens fried rice, and the large dumplings were also delicious. Sometimes, simple is good too!

Dinner at this place after a long time. I used to come regularly, but it's been a while. This place has a lot of manga, and if you have time to spare, it's perfect for killing time as there are few customers. It used to be that kind of place, but my impression changed completely after I discovered their oil soba. Well, I definitely only order the oil soba. This time too, of course. Well, if I had to think about it, it would be whether to get a large serving or a mega serving. This time, I went with the large serving (720 yen). You can choose between thin or thick noodles, but I never hesitate to choose thin. You can also choose the firmness of the noodles, but of course, I choose firm. It was served in just 5 minutes. It's 9 PM, so there are few customers, and the service is quick. I saw this form again after a long time. It's a ramen with no broth, topped with thinly sliced chashu, ground chicken, green onions, shinachiku, seaweed, and a soy sauce-flavored oil and broth mixture. Then you pour vinegar, with the acidity toned down, over it. Delicious. Everything is perfectly balanced. The broth is not as oily as I expected, and it's light, making it very easy to eat. It's a bit better if you put more vinegar because overall it's light. The slightly sweet seasoning of the ground chicken goes well with the broth and vinegar. The texture of the shinachiku is good, and the freshness of the green onions also fits well. Overall, there's nothing to complain about, it's delicious. I love it. I've never recommended it to anyone because I just personally love it. I've only heard of one person who said this oil soba is delicious here. I haven't seen many people ordering it in the store either. But I love it. But I never recommend it.

I went to Hakata Kinryu for the first time in about 20 years. (Note: I visited a different location 20 years ago) I didn't have a good impression of it back in the old days, so I had stayed away. However, since a lot of time had passed, I decided to give it a try with a sense of adventure. The customer service had improved compared to the past, but the ramen itself... remained unchanged. I ordered the addictive ramen, but it didn't seem like something I could get addicted to. Honestly, I can't recommend it to those who know the real Hakata ramen. I'm sorry.

Local friends who were big eaters often visited this shop, prioritizing taste < quantity < affordability. The shop doesn't have the best reputation locally. But since I'm in Kyushu, I just wanted to eat tonkotsu ramen no matter what - the shop is open until 1 am. As soon as I entered the shop, there were manga and magazines lined up. A wide selection for a relaxing time. I ordered the most basic tonkotsu ramen with firm noodles for 320 yen. One friend ordered soupless ramen. Another friend ordered the addictive ramen (with garlic). Huh? It's not bad. Better than some bad tonkotsu ramen in Tokyo! The noodles were thin and firm. For 320 yen, it was pretty good! The soup had a light taste, almost like it had milk in it. The addictive ramen that my friend ordered had soft noodles, and the fried garlic didn't quite match the soup, making it not very tasty. After finishing the noodles, I suddenly noticed a self-service topping corner... It was too late. Oh, it would have been even tastier with toppings. But for 320 yen, it was pretty good! When I mentioned this, the Kyushu locals were surprised. It seems Kyushu people have refined tonkotsu palates. Hmm, I still have a lot to learn about tonkotsu.

The local residents are somewhat critical of Kinryu. The taste is not bad, but there was a time when it was not as good, and there are plenty of other options in a car society. It may not impress those with discerning palates. However, the taste has improved now and it is quite delicious. The prices are lower than average, making it a good choice for families. The rich tonkotsu soup that locals love is usually very rich, so Kinryu's slightly lighter soup may be more suitable for those not used to it. While it may not stand out, it offers good value for money. Oh, I recommend the thinly sliced char siu, which has a light yet flavorful taste.
