I was supposed to visit the Nakasu food stalls in Fukuoka during my trip, but unfortunately they were closed due to the rain. So, I ended up visiting this restaurant instead! It was almost closing time, so I ordered both drinks and food at once. The draft beer was not cold enough (T_T), but the dashimaki tamago (rolled omelette) had a delicious flavor from the broth. Although this wasn't my intended destination, it satisfied my hunger and I left feeling content! Thank you for the meal.

Today, I couldn't get into the restaurant I wanted to go to because it was full, so I ended up going to a different place which turned out to be disappointing. I left early and decided to go back to Torizanmai, a yakitori restaurant I visited recently. It was my first time hopping between yakitori restaurants, but this place was really reasonable and had good quality. It seems to be a chain from Oita, but I was happy with the cost performance.

I met up with a friend and we decided to find a place to relax, so we ended up here. There are plenty of lunch options in Tenjin, but it had been a while since I last had a drink. We climbed the stairs to the entrance on the second floor of the restaurant. After stating our party size, we were directed to the third floor. It seems like the crowds have started to return compared to the summer, but it was still easy to find a seat without a reservation on a weekend in Tenjin. Of course, all the staff were wearing masks.
We took off our masks and started with a toast with draft beer. We decided to order some yakitori and horse sashimi. The horse sashimi arrived quickly. Kumamoto is famous for horse meat, so I assume Fukuoka also gets good horse sashimi. I feel like there are more places offering horse sashimi in Fukuoka than when I was in Okinawa. The horse sashimi was tender and delicious without any strong flavors. The yakitori also arrived, all at once since the kitchen was on the second floor and we were on the third. Still, they were hot and delicious. I feel like we ordered something else, but I can't remember since I didn't take any photos.
The two of us, who can be considered middle-aged, had a few drinks and satisfied our hunger for around 5000 yen. There were also many young groups, so it seems like a good value restaurant. If I have the chance to drink in Tenjin again, I will definitely visit this place.

After finishing work, I visited a chain restaurant with my colleagues. It was a last-minute decision, so we appreciated how quickly our drinks were served right after we arrived. Despite being crowded on a weekday, the food was served promptly and consistently. The quality of the dishes was also quite good, showing the reliability of a chain restaurant. It had been a while since I had visited a chain restaurant for anything other than lunch, but I was reminded of the good value and decided it's worth visiting occasionally. I plan to visit again at a more leisurely pace next time. Thank you for the meal.

Around 6:30 pm on a weekday... I happened to meet with an acquaintance after work and decided to have a drink. The place was quite empty, maybe because we were there a bit early. The staff were foreigners, but surprisingly they spoke fluent Japanese. We were served a soup as a complimentary starter, which was a bit unexpected. Along with that, we got some cabbage and grated daikon radish. The soup was light and tasty, but it felt a bit strange to have it as a starter. We would have preferred it as a closing dish. We ordered various items from the yakitori menu, but none of them really stood out. The yakitori was a bit tough, which was disappointing. Overall, it wasn't a place we would visit again or recommend to others.

I had a solid lunch and wasn't very hungry, but ended up eating quite a bit and drinking near the hotel. It was a good restaurant with good value. The chicken skin was delicious.

It's delicious in a normal way. Chicken skin for 80 yen, no appetizer.

The best cost performance store! Whenever you go, you can usually get in, which is attractive.

My daughter loves meat, so this time we visited "Torizanmai Shintencho" for lunch. The impression of the restaurant is that the staff's customer service is great - they are very efficient. Here is the lunch menu we ordered. We visited on a holiday, so we got the special weekend lunch menu. All the options looked delicious and were reasonably priced. The Hormone Yaki Set was 650 yen, Toriten Set was 650 yen, Young Chicken Karaage Set was 650 yen, Chicken Nanban Set was 650 yen, and this time we splurged on the Yakitori Omakase 8-piece Set (1100 yen). You can also have a lunch beer for 250 yen. Next, we had the Yakitori Omakase 8-piece Set. It included various types like Sasaburi, Kawa, Negima, Momo, all looking very delicious. Just this set alone would cost at least 800 yen elsewhere. Lunch here is a great deal. The chicken breast was delicious and light. Next, we had my favorite, Sasaburi. The crunchy texture was amazing. Overall, the taste was great and we were very satisfied. I think enjoying this with a beer would be fantastic. You can also have a lunch drink here, so if you want to enjoy Yakitori and beer in Tenjin, I recommend this place. I have posted photos and more details on my blog.

Today is a holiday, so I started drinking from the afternoon. I went to "Torizanmai" in Shintencho with my friend H. We were guided to the 3rd floor after climbing the stairs, which was tiring. I ordered a freshly squeezed grapefruit sour, while H ordered a black highball. We also got some yakitori: skin, heart, thigh meat, chicken tenderloin with wasabi, and chicken cartilage. The cartilage was crunchy and delicious. We also had large fried chicken wings. This is a rare place where you can drink during the day, but don't expect exceptional service. Thank you for the meal!

This restaurant near Tenjin Station offers delicious locally sourced chicken skewers. My son and I ordered a variety of dishes and enjoyed them all. The prices are reasonable, making it wallet-friendly. The chicken skewer bowl was especially delicious. The pork skewers were okay. I would like to visit again with a group of friends next time to have a lively dining experience.

I had been to this restaurant a few times before and decided to stop by after work. I remembered how delicious the rare chicken breast was, so I ordered chicken breast skewers and sashimi. The sashimi with avocado and raw chicken breast with wasabi soy sauce were just as tasty as I remembered. However, the chicken breast skewers were disappointingly tough. They used to be rare and delicious, but this time they were dry. The tsukune (chicken meatballs) had good flavor, but they seemed smaller. It's a shame because I used to recommend this place to friends. I've never tried the egg over rice here, so I'll have to try it next time I come. Thank you for the meal.

I had a drink at the yakitori restaurant "Torizanmai" in Aratacho. It's a shop that serves Miyazaki Jitokko. I tried various grilled items such as aged chicken skin, pork belly, rare grilled chicken breast, yam, tsukune, gizzard, and chicken liver. It was quite good. Then, I finished with Oita's specialty fried young chicken and marinated rice bowl at "Ryukyu". It was a fun place where you can experience the atmosphere of Miyazaki and Oita at a reasonable price.

I went to Tori Zanmai Shintencho Store for lunch on January 19, 2014 (Sunday). I happened to come across this restaurant while walking around in Tenjin. The entrance of the store is sandwiched between Osaka Ohsho and Sushi Shogun, and the store is located on the second floor of Sushi Shogun. The interior of the store is all table seating, making it a very calm place to enjoy a meal. It seems like the store has just opened as everything looks brand new inside. Despite the name of the store, I thought it was a branch of Sushizanmai, but it turns out to be a completely different company based in Oita. The lunch menu offers four options, all priced at 650 yen each. I ordered the Toriten Teishoku for 650 yen, which came with chicken soup instead of miso soup. The chicken soup tasted fresh and I liked it. The teishoku came with seven large pieces of toriten. The toriten from the main store in Oita definitely has a unique taste. The chicken meat was juicy and full of flavor with each bite. With seven pieces of chicken, I was completely satisfied. It was a reasonably priced lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. The store is located at 2-7-245 Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. The store is open every day, year-round.

I went to a yakitori izakaya in Shintencho! They mainly use chicken from Miyazaki and have most of their stores in Oita, with only one store in Shintencho, Fukuoka. Let's start by ordering lots of skewers, most of which are in the 100 yen range! I ordered the "sasami raw wasabi" rare, and it was delicious! They ask how you want your skewers cooked, but it's not a steakhouse. The "tsukimi tsukune" with cartilage was also great! I love tsukune! The "tomato bacon roll" was hot and perfect for a game of hot potato! Then I moved on to chicken dishes. The "avocado and sasami raw soy sauce" was surprisingly good, with avocado and sasami being a great combination. The "toriten" looks like fried chicken at first, but it's good with alcohol! The "chicken nanban" with tartar sauce was amazing! I'm just a mayo lover. The "sasami ochazuke" ordered by a carb-loving girl was great, even though it wasn't the end of the meal. We also had regular izakaya dishes like "tofu salad" and "fried potato with anchovy sauce," which was confusing as it didn't taste like anchovy. But the best part of this place is the 1,300 yen bottle of shochu! It's a great deal in the middle of Tenjin! This information is useful for those looking for a good place to eat in Shintencho! The restaurant is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors along the road near Iwataya in Shintencho.

While strolling around Shintencho, I stumbled upon a new restaurant. The first floor was a revolving sushi restaurant, and the second floor was a yakitori place. The prices were reasonable and the food looked delicious, especially the chicken skin which was said to be tasty. I went there with a friend, and the chicken skin they boasted about was only 80 yen per skewer. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, very delicious. The signboard chicken seemed to be Miyazaki's local chicken. They also had a variety of menu items like traditional fried chicken and tsukune. Most importantly, it's located in Shintencho, so it's convenient and close to the station. It's a great place to stop by after work.
