I stopped by for dinner on a Friday night while running errands. I was torn between ordering oyakodon and karaage set, but ended up choosing the karaage set. I opted for the yuzu salt flavor instead of mentaiko, as I'm not a fan of mentaiko. It was ready in about 10 minutes. The fairly large karaage pieces were juicy with the meat juices still oozing out, which was quite satisfying. The price was also reasonable, which was a plus. Thank you for the meal!

On this day, my family went to the outlet that was built on the site of Space World in Kitakyushu. This was my third time visiting, and each time, I look forward to eating at the food court. This time, I couldn't decide where to eat. Last time, I think I had a hamburger, so this time I went for the "Chicken Nanban set" at the yakitori restaurant. It was delicious and satisfying. I wonder where I should eat next time.

I went shopping at the outlet in Kitakyushu. I found the shop I was looking for and bought things at a good price! For lunch, we went to the food court. It was somewhat crowded even though it was a weekday. We had lunch here, even though there are several branches in Fukuoka and Kokura. I ordered the Tamago Katsudon for 790 yen (tax included 869 yen), and my companion ordered the Tori Soboro Tamago Don for 790 yen (tax included 869 yen). After waiting for about 15 minutes, our buzzer went off so I went to pick up our food. The portion size was decent. The chicken was tender with a good bounce, and the broth had a salty flavor. It seemed like they used Tamago in the dishes, but I couldn't really taste the difference. The Tori Soboro Don had a large portion size. They also had a famous takeout item, the skewers with chicken skin wrapped around them.

I ordered one skewer because I was feeling a bit hungry. It cost 165 yen. The menu said it was a flavor that wasn't salt or soy sauce, so I was curious about what it would taste like. It's true that the flavor isn't strong in salt or soy sauce, it's more like the taste of the fried chicken batter soaked in. The meat is neither crispy nor juicy, it's like eating dried out rubbery yakitori. So this is the kind of taste it has.

Got chicken thigh at 165 yen, pork belly at 165 yen, and chicken skin skewers at 165 yen for tonight's sake snack takeout. The pork belly is labeled as "Miyazaki Herb Pork." It brought back memories. The skewers are tasty, but overall the seasoning felt a bit light. A bit lazy to do anything about it so just ate them as is. The pork belly had a hint of Miyazaki flavor (just kidding). Suica payment is accepted.

At the food court of the Kitakyushu Outlet, there was a long line at "Guruguru Torikawa Takenoya." The grilled chicken was already cooked, so the takeout was quick. Torikawa (chicken skin) was 165 yen, and Tori Kimo (chicken liver) was 165 yen. It was delicious!
