On Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 12:00 PM, I wandered around the Sun Tower for about 5 minutes feeling a bit dizzy. My left knee, which I injured during Golden Week, is screaming in pain. I transferred from the monorail to the subway and ended up at a lunchtime drinking spot. It was crowded with families, but I only had to wait about 10 minutes before being seated at the second table. I started with a draft beer and then switched to cold sake. They were featuring dishes from Kochi, and I enjoyed some bonito sashimi with a special seasoning called "Leaf Garlic Nuta," which I had seen on TV recently. It was delicious! I usually stick to wasabi soy sauce, but I find Southern-style seasonings like Kochi Leaf Garlic Nuta and Toyomitsu Yuzu Kosho very appealing.

When it comes to Japanese food chains, Ganko is the one that stands out. Is Ganko mainly in the Kansai region? It is commonly seen in Kansai, but not so much in Kanto, I feel. When I go to Itami Airport and use Senri-Chuo, I often find Ganko convenient when I feel like having Japanese food or sushi. The lunch deals are really great, with sushi sets and sashimi sets available, and of course, you can also order individual items. I went there around 11 am this day, and it was almost full, so we were seated at the table in the back. This area is also reassuring when you have small children. In fact, there were many customers who seemed like grandparents, parents, and grandchildren. Maybe it's because of the Shichi-Go-San season? Now, I ordered the beef steak and chicken nanban. I usually order sushi or Japanese food, but this time I went for something hearty. It's been a while since I had steak, but it felt more tender and delicious than before. As we head into the season for hot pot and sukiyaki, it seems like a good choice for dinner.

Located just a short walk from Osaka Monorail Senri-Chuo Station, this restaurant is part of the "Ganko" chain, which specializes in robatayaki, sushi, and Japanese cuisine. The Steak Nanban set allows you to enjoy both steak and chicken nanban in one meal. Delicious!

New Year's start with a straight ball topic in 2021. The series will focus on meat (beef & pork) and seafood with a 30-match showdown. The 12th match is at "Ganko Washoku Senri Chuo Store" in Toyonaka City, Osaka. Sushi set meal (flower) for 880 yen (excluding tax).

On a business trip to Osaka, I had only one hour of work before heading back to Tokyo. So I decided to have sushi with a client at a popular restaurant called Ganko. It was my first time there, and it was really crowded. I waited for about 15 minutes before being seated. While waiting, I enjoyed a beer. The sushi was delicious and easy to eat. I would love to come back for a night out with drinks in a private room.

On October 23, 2018, I went on a lunch tour in Chisato. My stomach was craving for Japanese food, so I decided to visit "Ganko" restaurant. They use a system where you write your name in a register at the entrance and wait to be called. Luckily, there was only one group waiting, so I was seated quickly. They had a wide variety of lunch menu options, with an average price of around 1,000 to 1,500 yen. I ordered the "Nabe-yaki udon set meal for 1,058 yen" that day. It came with nabe-yaki udon, rice, pickles, and a mixed tempura plate. It was quite a filling meal, mostly consisting of carbs. The udon was hot and delicious, and I left feeling satisfied and full. The Gyudon Tamago Toji Teishoku is a dish where the beef and egg are separated, a concept familiar to those from Kansai. Despite being a chain restaurant, I really enjoy Ganko's Japanese cuisine. In the afternoon, I went to Osaka and spent some time in Shin-Osaka. I had always been curious about "Ganko" sushi set meal at Hanazen, and it was quite good. The sushi was decent, and the red miso soup was delicious.

I entered wanting to have a leisurely meal at the station, and it was comfortable even for dining alone. The menu was extensive and the desserts were satisfying.

I went for Sunday lunch. I arrived early so I didn't have to wait in line. The staff were very friendly! I had the sushi lunch set. It was a bit disappointing that there was only conger eel, but I was grateful that they made the rice balls as I requested.

Kansai people often see Ganko, but have you ever been there before? Finally got the chance to visit. Instead of a set meal, ordered individual items like salad and fried chicken. The fried chicken had a nostalgic taste. Overall, the food was nothing special, just average. Would I go back? Maybe. The staff were all friendly and polite, which was great. Sorry for being blunt.

I went to the station with my child for some errands and decided to have lunch afterwards. We wanted to sit back and enjoy a meal. My child had the kids' lunch set for 638 yen with orange juice and a toy. I ordered the hearty katsu and egg rice bowl with yellowtail sashimi for 1298 yen. The sashimi was delicious, but the pork in the katsu was tough. The rice was tasty and they had a wide variety of menu options, so I wouldn't mind coming back here for casual dining. We sat at a table by the moat, which had a nice view, so I would definitely come back again. The total bill came to 1936 yen.

We visited this restaurant with our family because it is close to our home. The freshness of the sashimi was average, as expected from a chain restaurant. The prices are reasonable for what you get, but some items are surprisingly expensive. We didn't have high expectations, so we didn't order those items. The location is good and the atmosphere is nice for gatherings. However, it is a bit pricey. Since there are no good fish markets in Chichu, it's understandable that the prices are high sometimes.

I was recommended the tuna sashimi and it was delicious. The chawanmushi lacked substance. I ordered early because it was crowded, but the food came out late so I couldn't have dessert. There are not many sushi restaurants in this area, so I guess this is what it is. But I might come back again.

One word: amazing! Had a luxurious lunch with my elderly mother. So many menu options to choose from! I've been here many times, and everything I try is always delicious. Today we had beef tongue set meal, sushi, and grilled Atka mackerel! The meat was tender and juicy! The rice was sticky, fluffy, and shiny! The mackerel was so flavorful! And the sushi, well, it was just amazing! The seasonal menu items are also enjoyable. The sushi here is truly delicious, so sometimes I get some to go. What's incredible is that the fried food is freshly fried. Whenever I come here with my colleagues, all the fried items in the lunch set under 1000 yen are piping hot and freshly fried! Crispy and fluffy! Amazing! Delicious! My elderly mother has a small appetite and usually can't eat the batter on fried foods or even touch rice with chopsticks, but, but, but...! On this day! My mother finished all the fried food and rice!!! She said, "It's been a while since I've had such delicious food outside." We were in tears as a family. Thank you, Ganko Sushi Chuo Senri store. Thank you always. We'll be back again!
