Located on the first floor of Mio Honkan, this shop specializes in takeout only. On the second or third floor, there is a crepe shop from the same chain where you can also enjoy delicious crepes! Today, I passed by the first floor and found a tea cake, so I decided to buy it!
Earl Grey...520 yen
This cake contains Earl Grey mousse and sponge, with orange jelly at the bottom. The cake was refreshing to eat with the acidity of the orange!

If you mention sweets in Osaka Minami, everyone knows that flashy yellow Western-style building. "Crepeserie Alcyon" and "Salon de The Alcyon" have finally arrived in Tennoji as "Alcyon Tea Room". There is a cafe on the 2nd floor of MIO, but the 1st floor is a specialty store for Mont Blanc and tea. It is located in the passageway connecting the central ticket gate and east ticket gate of Tennoji Station (MIO 1st floor), so you can't help but stop by. Perfect for souvenirs (^_-)-☆
- Mont Blanc with Japanese chestnut: 680 yen
- Mont Blanc: 540 yen
The popular Mont Blanc series from "Alcyon" in Minami ♡ is a must-try, especially during the delicious chestnut season. If you love sweets, this is for you (๑´ω`๑)♡
The classic "Mont Blanc" is a rich chestnut cream wrapped in fluffy meringue with a rich domestic milk cream, making it a subtly sweet delicacy. Both are quite rich, so the satisfaction level is high. They are also quite filling, making you feel happy after just one piece. There is also a wide variety of teas available for purchase, making it fun to choose for home time or as a gift/souvenir! Thank you for the delicious meal (*´▽`人)

I received some sweets in Santa's pouch for Christmas. The package contained two pieces of Tencho sugar sablé, two pieces of Colombo, and three Aurora almonds. The Tencho sugar sablé has a crispy sablé dough with a gentle sweetness of Tencho sugar. The Colombo is a cocoa dough cookie with hazelnuts, offering a strong cocoa bitterness for an adult taste. The Aurora almonds are coated with sugar around almond chocolate, giving a marble chocolate-like flavor. I liked the Tencho sugar sablé, but the others were not to my liking. The Santa container is cute, so I would be happy to receive it as a small gift.

I thought from the name that it was a cafe inside the facility, but it turned out to be a takeout specialty store located on the first floor corridor of Tennoji Mio. Nevertheless, on this day, I bought some baked sweets to enjoy. Sugar sablé for 120 yen (tax included), Colombo for 120 yen (tax included), financiers for 200 yen (tax included), and lemon madeleines for 200 yen (tax included). I have bought the financiers here a few times and can confirm their deliciousness. While not flashy (baked sweets tend to be like that), they are subtly delicious. The sablé also had a nice crispy texture. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I'm happy that MiO has opened in Tennoji! It's located on the first floor of the main building, so it's easy to stop by. The shop is cute and I was looking forward to its opening. I've purchased Mont Blanc and other items from their other stores before and they were delicious. This time, I tried the caramel popcorn that I was curious about. It's cute and would make a great gift. I'm also interested in trying the strawberry flavor! I was surprised by the variety of teas they offer. I love tea, so I'll definitely come back to stock up when I run out!

When I stopped by Tennoji Mio, I was drawn to the Mont Blanc displayed in the showcase and decided to purchase it. The price is ¥540 for one piece. The Mont Blanc looks so delicious just by looking at it! The layers of the Mont Blanc are beautifully arranged, with a perfect appearance. They put in a maximum of 2 hours worth of ice packs, and I carefully carried it home. The Mont Blanc was securely fixed so that it wouldn't collapse, and it maintained its shape as purchased. The rich Mont Blanc cream is irresistible. Alcyon, known for French, Italian, and tea shop offerings, is worth trying if you have the chance. ♥️

The peach iced tea I had at Alshon in Namba was incredibly delicious, so I wanted to go buy it again but I didn't have any reason to go to Namba. However, I found out that there is an Alshon shop on the first floor of Mio. I couldn't resist and went in! I got the white peach fragrance page and the popular Alshon Blue. I tried making it at home right away, but it didn't turn out as good as in the store haha. Still, it was delicious. It seems like there are more and more takeout shops opening in Mio. It's a takeout boom due to the coronavirus pandemic, right?

There was a store specializing in galettes and crepes on the second floor of Hankyu. I had a set with a galette as the main dish and a crepe for dessert for about 1650 yen, and both were delicious and satisfying.
