I found the long-established senbei (rice cracker) shop "Sakakaku Sohonto" at Kintetsu Department Store in Uehonmachi. The rice crackers themselves were also in colorful and poppy small bags. The scallop rice cracker was firm and bumpy, with a concentrated scallop extract inside. The assorted pack contained eight different types of rice crackers. The one with shrimp was unmistakable, but the interesting one was the purple sweet potato. As you eat it, you can feel the flavor of the purple sweet potato melting. They are all thin but have rich flavors. I often receive this type of rice crackers as gifts, but I'm always happy to receive them.
