On the second night of our Osaka trip, we stayed at the "Tokyu Inn Shin-Osaka Chuo-guchi Honkan". The hotel offers a great view of the trains from the top floor. The room key card has a cute illustration on it, which is quite unusual. Due to the limited table seating in the lobby for breakfast because of the pandemic, we had to pack our breakfast in a box and eat in our room. In the past, taking food back to the room was not allowed, but times have changed. Thank you for the meal. In terms of COVID-19 prevention measures: hand sanitizer was available, there was proper ventilation, social distancing was maintained with partitions and spaced out seating, staff wore masks, and there was temperature check upon entering.

This is the complimentary breakfast at Toyoko Inn. Amidst this pandemic, they provide a bento box-like container so you can pack your favorite items to take back to your room. I had three onigiri, freshly made and delicious. The other items were also quite warm. The kinpira was piping hot. Thank you for the meal!

During my visit to Kansai, I stayed for 2 nights at the Toyoko Inn Shin-Osaka Chuo-guchi Honkan. It is conveniently located about a 7-minute walk from JR Shin-Osaka Station, along the Tokaido Line (JR Kyoto Line). There is also a neighboring building called the "Shinkan," which is slightly more expensive due to newer facilities. Nowadays, Osaka and its surroundings attract many tourists from China, Taiwan, and Korea, so the hotel website is available in Chinese and Korean as well. I noticed some Chinese staff members during my stay. I don't usually eat a lot for breakfast, so a couple of rice balls, side dishes, and miso soup were enough for me. I personally like the coffee at Toyoko Inn. For dinner, there are various dining options near the hotel, including highly-rated ramen shops like "Ramen King" and "Katoya Osaka Nibojirou" (right in front of the hotel). Overall, I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

On September 29th (Friday), the drinking enthusiast on a business trip in Osaka went to Shin-Osaka. Today, I arrived in Shin-Osaka on a late bullet train due to my business trip in Osaka. The hotel here offers a complimentary breakfast service, so I had breakfast in the lobby on the 1st floor. The side dishes included macaroni salad, meatballs, and although there weren't many options, there were several types of rice balls to choose from, so it was sufficient. Since I ate late last night, I decided to go light today.

On April 23, 2017, the breakfast venue at the hotel was located in a space next to the lobby on the first floor. Considering the number of guests staying at the hotel, the dining area was too small. It is not suitable for those who want to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. The breakfast at Toyoko Inn typically includes onigiri (various types), miso soup, sausages, simmered dishes, potato salad, tea, and coffee. Recommended for those staying at Toyoko Inn.

In January 2016, I stayed at the Toyoko Inn near Shin-Osaka Station and earned 55 points, getting closer to completing my Toyoko Inn conquest (lol). The hotel is located about a 10-minute walk from Shin-Osaka Station, making it convenient for using the Shinkansen and public transportation. The breakfast, consisting of onigiri and meatballs, was free but had a limited selection this time. I hope they can offer more variety in the future. Since Osaka is a popular tourist destination, there were many foreign guests staying at the hotel. In the morning, I helped a Korean lady who couldn't get coffee because the machine was locked, and she thanked me in Korean, sparking a little romance in the process.

Every time, the familiar free breakfast at Toyoko Inn. It seems that there used to be unique menus for each hotel, but now it feels quite standardized. Of course, that's not a bad thing at all. As someone who doesn't usually eat breakfast, the refreshing pasta salad is easy to eat and nice. I can be satisfied with this level of free breakfast without eating heavily in the morning.

There are several Tokyu Inns around Shin-Osaka Station. They are conveniently located for transportation, so I use them occasionally. The hotel near the Central Gate has a main building and a new building. The main building seems to have a longer history. The nearest stations are Hankyu Minamikata Station or Osaka Municipal Subway Nishinakajima-Minamigata Station. You pass through a lively area with various shops, including adult entertainment establishments, on your way to the hotel. It takes about 8 minutes to walk from the Shinkansen terminal to the Central Gate. This area is a business district. It should be fine to walk along the JR conventional railway tracks. Although it is close to the tracks, the noise is not too bothersome. I enjoyed a tasty complimentary breakfast.

On March 11, 2015, I enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Toyoko Inn Shin-Osaka Chuo-guchi Honkan Hotel! Located between Hankyu Kyoto Line Minami-Kata Station and Shin-Osaka Station, there is the Toyoko Inn Shin-Osaka Chuo-guchi Honkan. Next to it is the Toyoko Inn Shin-Osaka Chuo-guchi Shinkan. Some rooms face the JR Tokaido Main Line, so you may hear the sound of trains passing by. The Toyoko Inn's famous breakfast buffet offers a limited selection of dishes, but the onigiri (rice balls) are good. In the guest rooms, you'll find the Bible and Buddhist scriptures as usual, along with other books. There is one book published by the "General Incorporated Foundation Naikan." It seems that you spend about a week reflecting on things like what you received from and gave back to your parents and others who have helped you, as well as any troubles you may have caused. It sounds like a new religion or brainwashing, but it is actually a general incorporated foundation, not a religious organization. They also mention that it belongs more to the field of psychology than religion, but it's a bit confusing. By the way, it seems that new employees at Toyoko Inn are required to participate in this "Naikan" reflection during their training. What is that all about?

After my Fukuoka trip, I took the Shinkansen and arrived in Shin-Osaka at night. I stayed at a Toyoko Inn. I stayed at the Toyoko Inn for 4 nights. This Toyoko Inn is located along the railway tracks, so you can see the trains from the windows on the track side. There is a balcony on the top floor where you can overlook Shin-Osaka Station. Breakfast is served from 7 o'clock. Maybe because I went to eat at a late hour, I felt a bit unsatisfied compared to the breakfast in Fukuoka. I wished there was one or two more dishes. However, I think it's enough to replenish the iron for train lovers.
