Spring weather in March 2023 (๑´∀`) Took a 1.5-hour drive to Yoichi Town near AEON. Came across a house with a long line by chance (゚Д゚)!! Decided to wait in line and found out it was a popular bakery. Only 4 groups were allowed inside at a time, but the service was relaxed and slow-paced. The shelves were filled with a variety of tempting breads. Ended up buying: - Pizza for 330 yen - Croissant Croque Monsieur for 290 yen - Pistachio cream bread for 250 yen - Butter bread for 180 yen The flavors were gentle and not too salty, with just the right amount of cheese. The round butter bread with cream in the middle was deliciously sweet. Thank you for the meal (^ω^)

On a certain holiday, I had an early lunch at a bakery in Yoichi that I had bookmarked and heard about in Sapporo. The parking lot seemed to have space for a few cars in front of the store. The interior was a spacious open space with display shelves showcasing delicious-looking bread. From the menu on that day, I chose a few items. I ordered the "Milk Cream Pistachio (270 yen)" and the staff injected cream into it before I took a bite. The French bread was crispy on the outside, with plenty of cold milk cream inside, and the base cream was delicious without being overpowering, which I personally liked. The pistachio flavor did a great job. I also tried the "Butter Bread (180 yen)" which reminded me of a soft and fluffy sweet bread with a hint of saltiness from the butter inside. It was mildly sweet and would go well with unsweetened coffee. The "Chestnut Baton (280 yen)" was a long and thin hard bread with a delicious aroma. The sweetness from the chestnut paste inside combined well with the walnut flavor in the dough. The "Apple Croissant (300 yen)" had a crispy croissant dough with soft apple compote inside, soaked in sweetness, and mixed with custard cream, making it different from a regular apple pie. Lastly, the "Kouign-Amann (250 yen)" was a spiral type with a crispy buttery croissant dough that oozed out when bitten into, with a considerable sweetness level. I'm not sure about the relationship with Boulangerie in Sapporo, but it seems like a delightful branch for the people in Yoichi. The staff seemed to be struggling with customer handling due to COVID-19, but I hope for a more efficient era to come soon. Thank you for the meal.

On a day off, I accompanied Nocchimu-san to Yoichi, and at his request, we decided to visit a bakery that I had been curious about for a while. Despite being far from our home, we aimed to visit shortly after the opening hours. The bakery is located near the ion and has a spacious parking lot in front of it. Although there is a limit to the number of groups that can enter at once, there was already a line forming even though it had not been long since the opening. The bakery seems quite popular, with people continuing to arrive. Inside, the store is spacious with a good variety of bread. The system here is that the staff will pick the bread for you. I purchased several bread that caught my eye. The croissant was quite large, and when you hold it, you can feel that the inside is soft. The outer layer is crispy, while the inside is moist and chewy. The flavor of fermented butter spreads in your mouth and tastes delicious. The pistachio cream bread had a crispy outside and a chewy texture inside, with a good balance of buttery flavor and saltiness. The addition of cold pistachio cream later enhanced the taste even more. The curry bread had chicken curry inside a fluffy and chewy dough, made with spices. The curry is flavorful with a hint of sweetness, making it easy for children to enjoy. It also has the umami and sweetness of vegetables, making it delicious. The bacon epi had a crispy outside and a chewy inside, with a good wheat flavor. It was soft and easy to eat, with a good balance of bacon's saltiness and umami. The croissants and hard bread were also delicious, and I look forward to trying different bread next time. Thank you for the meal.

There are quite a few bakeries in the Yoichi area that specialize in hard bread. I was interested in this particular shop, and although they do have hard bread options, I felt that their lineup was more focused on Danish pastries.
- Apple Danish: It's been a while since I've had this type of pastry! The crust is crispy, allowing you to peel off each layer easily. The buttery taste is strong, and the inside is moist. The apples are cooked in a sweet, cinnamon-infused style, without a crunchy texture. The custard is subtle, with a hint of vanilla beans, but the apple and Danish flavors are dominant. I prefer this type over the thicker crust of an apple pie.
- Croissant: It was slightly moist and had a strong buttery taste. There is a noticeable contrast between the crispy outer layer and the soft, moist inside. The crispy texture that peels off easily is excellent.
- Pistachio French: Cream is added after ordering. The pistachio flavor is strong, with a nutty and oily taste. The baguette is hard and crispy on the outside, with a low moisture content inside, similar to a French bread. Personally, I prefer a softer, more moist texture.
- Hot Dog: I reheated this at home. Despite its hard appearance, it was surprisingly soft and had a whole wheat soft French bread-like texture. The dough is fluffy. The sausage is herb-infused, and it doesn't lose to the cheese. I thought they had a good balance between hard and soft bread options. If this shop were nearby, I would definitely visit often. I'm glad I was able to go this time! Thank you, wu-ta-san!

I went to Yoichi and stumbled upon a nice bakery! *Croissant (216 yen) - They use fermented butter, and the texture is more chewy inside than crispy on the outside. I like this kind of croissant! *Baguette (259 yen) - It's so hard that it's like "Are you trying to start a fight?" level of texture (laughs). I haven't had such a bold texture in a while, but I don't mind it (laughs). The more you chew, the more you taste the wheat flavor. It might be easier to eat if you warm it up in the microwave rather than toasting it. *Maple and walnut scone (248 yen) - The dough has maple mixed in. I reheated it and the texture is more fluffy inside like a muffin than crispy on the surface. The walnut texture is good, and it was a delicious scone. The bread was delicious, and above all, the wonderful customer service makes me want to visit again (*'ω'*) If I go to Yoichi again, I would definitely visit this bakery!

Roughly across from Aeon, this bakery has a splendid exterior! Inside, there is a line-up of various types of bread, giving off a authentic vibe!! You can choose the bread you want in a face-to-face manner. Perhaps influenced by "〇〇Viv"? This style is quite common in this area, coming from Otaru. Some breads are filled with cream on the spot. There were so many delicious options, I ended up buying too much. ★ Walnut Raisin Half: Each flavor is distinct and delicious. The bread is not overpowering, but elegant. ★ Choco Suke: When eaten cold, the chocolate inside becomes solid like a block of chocolate. I prefer it when the chocolate is more melty... But it's clear that there is a lot of chocolate inside, haha. ★ Cinnamon Kouhen: Very heavy and dense. I also tried this one cold. It was very satisfying and felt like a good deal. It was incredibly delicious. The croissant was beautifully made. The location is great, and this place is definitely popular. I want to try their loaf bread next time. Currently, they accept cash and credit cards. Thank you for the meal! Zさん, "Bekarai" is in German, not Russian!!

On April 24, 2022, I visited "Bäckerei Yoichi" which opened recently. It is located about a 5-minute walk from JR Yoichi Station in a standalone building with parking space for 5-6 cars. The store opens at 10:00 am, and upon entering, you'll find a spacious interior with a counter table and shelves displaying around 20 types of bread. You choose your bread, and the staff will serve it to you. I purchased the "Butter Bread @180" which had a soft and fluffy texture with a butter cream filling that had a subtle sweetness. The "Croissant @200" had a crispy crust and a buttery flavor, perfect for reheating at home. Lastly, the "Walnut Bread (1/2) @165" was a hard bread with walnuts and raisins, offering a robust and high-quality taste. Overall, I enjoyed the bread and look forward to trying more varieties in the future. "Bäckerei" means bakery in German, and I hope they continue baking delicious bread regardless of the origin. Thank you for the meal!

On the day I visited, only two groups were allowed in the store at a time. We had to wait at the entrance before going in. The shop has glass windows, so you can see the bread inside, which is very exciting. I bought croissants - both the regular flaky type and one with apple, as well as a Kouign-Amann, and they were all delicious. I also purchased focaccia and hot dog buns, which were also tasty. They didn't have sandwich bread available that day, but I would like to try it next time.
