You can enjoy the yakiniku set meal at Bikkuri Tei. It's like a vegetable stir-fry with plenty of garlic. It's not served on a hot plate, but the taste and spicy miso are just like Bikkuri Tei and go well with drinks. There is a wide variety of alcoholic beverages and single dishes to choose from, making it fun to decide.

The deep-fried thick tofu sushi and burdock tempura were delicious. Even better than last time I came. Next, I want to try the mackerel marinated in wine.

I came to Hakata! I started drinking around 5 pm. Even though it's evening, in Kyushu the sun sets later compared to Tokyo, so it still feels like daytime until after 7 pm. I went to Kyushu Umi Taka Kiyokawa store. I thought it was a standing bar, but they have chairs. The place was full of local regulars. You can get cheap and delicious drinks and snacks here. They have a good selection of whiskey, sake, shochu, wine, etc. It's mostly self-service. I started with a draft beer to quench my thirst and had some delicious dry mentaiko from Hakata. Then I enjoyed some Sanchosho sake with salted mackerel and oden. If there was a place like this near my home, I would probably go there every day!

I visited the standing bar "Kyushu Umataka" that opened by the end of last year in Kiyokawa. They are known for their standing bar at Bayside Place, which I visited before. The standing bar sign is quite noticeable, and they serve draft beer for 500 yen. I left a 1000 yen bill on the table as it said "cash on" on the back of the menu, but it wasn't taken. Ordering is done through handwritten slips, and when there are few customers, the rules seem a bit relaxed. I ordered tuna by word of mouth since they didn't have red meat or medium fatty tuna, so I got sesame tuna for 350 yen. It was incredibly delicious, with just the right amount of wasabi. You have to bring your own chopsticks and other utensils. It seems like a self-service system for oden as well. Despite being a standing bar, they also have a few chairs. I was drinking with my friend H and as we were walking down a back street in Kiyokawa, we came across a new place called "Kyushu Kaitaka" where the old "Enoteca Ritsu" used to be. It's a standing bar similar to the one by the bayside. I don't mind these kinds of places. It turns out that you can also order food from Enoteca Ritsu which is located at the back of this restaurant. We ordered whiskey on the rocks. - Yoichi 500 yen - Taketsuru 600 yen You have to pay upfront when ordering, and you have to pour the alcohol yourself. The whiskey comes out as a shot when you flip the bottle upside down, so I tried it and poured a bit more after feeling like the first pour was too little. It's kind of cheating, but it works. H's glass ended up with less whiskey due to a small mistake in pouring, so the master kindly added more Yoichi to his glass. It was a nice gesture. Thank you for the meal~

The owner used to be in a band, so music lovers will enjoy this place, but it's also recommended for those who are not into music. They serve rare parts of tuna sashimi, which are delicious. The izakaya dishes are also tasty, and since it's a standing bar, it's easy to make friends with other customers and have a fun time drinking. They also have a rare shochu called "Sansumi" which has a refreshing taste of sweet potatoes. It's really delicious. When you're unsure where to go near Watanabe-dori Station, this place might be a good choice. Perfect for a casual drink.
