Stylish and delicious yakitori restaurant. l was lured in by the offer of beer, appetizers, and 7 skewers for 1,100 yen. The appetizer was chicken liver pate on crackers, which was quite fancy. The skewers were delicious, including corn, thick tofu, and Itojima wiener. When we ran out of shochu, we ordered more skewers, and the total for two people was 5,900 yen. It was reasonably priced and very good.

I decided to have one more drink before heading home after leaving Manyo. This place opened as Yakitori Uoken in April last year. Although the name includes "fish," it is actually a yakitori specialty shop. They use fresh "Hakata Jidori" chicken and grill it with white charcoal, making it popular among office workers and families around Tenjin. Inside, there are mainly counter seats with some table seats available. I ordered the great value "toritori set" (980 yen), which includes five types of yakitori, a side dish, and a drink. I chose a draft Ebisu beer for my drink and got a side of oboro tofu. The yakitori arrived after a while, served on a bed of raw cabbage. There was corn, liver, and a unique part called "enzawa," which had a chewy texture. The liver was half-cooked but still tender and delicious. Enzawa had a crunchy texture like cartilage. With its reasonable prices, this place is perfect for a casual drink.

I used this restaurant for a drinking party with colleagues from a fish processing workplace near Nagahama Park. It is said to be a restaurant run by someone who trained at Isogai. The dishes made with fish purchased at Nagahama Market were enjoyable, including fish dishes, charcoal-grilled local chicken, tataki, yakitori, and grilled eel rice balls. All the dishes were very delicious. Particularly, the miso-grilled sea bream with rich flavor was incredibly tasty. I was also impressed by the corn skewered one by one. I was able to relax and enjoy delicious food in a sunken kotatsu table at a long table seat.

Due to the impact of the new corona, there is a request to refrain from unnecessary outings. Finally, there is an additional request to refrain from serving alcohol in restaurants after 7 pm, and the strictness is increasing. In the midst of this, I read a review of Mr. Myrebi and found a restaurant that caught my interest. "Uoken"さん. When I checked the restaurant information on Tabelog, there was a coupon for 'Happy Hour - Until 7 pm, draft beer or black draft beer 550 yen -> 200 yen'. The expiration date of this coupon is until the end of April. With the expectation of a more severe environment due to the new corona, it would be best to go today! (laughs) I arrived at the restaurant at the opening time of 6 pm. The location of the restaurant is along a street one block south of the "Notsu Notsu West Intersection" on Nanotsu Street. It is an area where I usually operate, so when I looked at the map, it was a place where Google Maps was not necessary. When I arrived, the lantern that serves as a landmark was not lit...? Just to be sure, I called from in front of the store, and they said, "We're open." (^_^;) I hung up the phone and entered the store, which had an interior design that was a mix of robatayaki and Western-style izakaya. Since I was visiting alone, I sat at the counter. Initially, there was only one staff member working alone, but later another staff member joined, making it a two-person team. The skewers I ordered were, Pork belly (210 yen), Wagyu heart (250 yen), Wagyu liver (250 yen), Bonjiri (90 yen), Asparagus wrap (320 yen). By the way, the order is done by filling out a printed order form, but there was no indication of whether the prices were inclusive or exclusive of tax. (ーー;) The first drink I ordered was black draft beer. It was served immediately, and potato salad was also served as a complimentary appetizer. What, there's a complimentary appetizer?! 1) It is served without any explanation in advance, as if it were a matter of course. 2) Moreover, it's potato salad. I'd rather have it with regular beer than black beer! It was so naturally served that my impression of the place instantly dropped! My inner voice whispers, "This place is not a good match." The skewers are cooked over charcoal, which is a good impression. The pork belly and asparagus skewers served at the beginning were surprisingly large. The finish of the fatty part of the pork belly was particularly delicious, and the quality was good. They are served in the order they are cooked, so they don't get cold, which is nice. When the Wagyu liver arrived, I added another draft beer. It's @200 yen during Happy Hour, so I can drink without worrying about the price. (laughs) The bonjiri that was served later cost 90 yen. The size is drastically smaller when the price is different. It's easy to see that the treatment is different. (laughs) It's a bit of a anticlimactic development. The total bill was 1,970 yen. Without being given a detailed receipt, I didn't even know if the prices were inclusive or exclusive of tax. How much was the appetizer? It's too much trouble to think about it since I've had two beers. I roughly folded my thoughts and paid as told. (^^; In the end, I was the only customer from start to finish. It was a decent meal. Located on a street one block in from Tenjin Kitamachi, near Oyabaka, this restaurant has a counter and tatami seating style where you take off your shoes at the entrance. Their menu mainly consists of skewers, but they also offer charcoal-grilled local chicken, pig's feet, grilled buttered sand liver, fried dishes, and more. For a light drink, I mainly ordered skewers. Prices range from 150 to 400 yen per skewer, but the taste is incredibly delicious. They also have grilled rice balls and soup rice for a finishing touch. I would definitely like to visit this place again.

This was our first visit to the restaurant! We came because my friend wanted to eat a delicious bowl. The interior of the restaurant is bright with wooden boards, and they have sunken kotatsu-style seating, a counter, and tatami seating which is nice. Despite arriving a bit early, they welcomed us warmly. Even though we were both drawn to the seafood bowl, we ended up ordering the tuna hamburger set meal and the negitoro and mackerel simmered set meal... but they were both very delicious. Next time, we'll definitely have to try the seafood bowl! We will be back.

I went out for lunch. The interior of the restaurant has tables with sunken kotatsu seats and a counter. The lunch menu includes seafood bowl, conger eel bowl, tuna hamburger set, and daily special (aradaki), ranging from 750 yen to 980 yen. The prices are reasonable. It seems to be a restaurant affiliated with Isogai, so I would like to visit for the extensive menu at night.

I happened to come across a izakaya called "Uoken" in Kitatenjin. I was going to walk past, but the logo of a clam caught my eye, so I decided to go in. There were several fish lunch options, including seafood bowl and the daily special, grilled yellowtail. I chose the grilled yellowtail. It came with rice and miso soup with seaweed. The yellowtail was delicious - rich, flavorful, and crispy! When I dipped it in a little mayonnaise, it became even more indulgent. I thought the rice portion was too much, but I couldn't stop eating because the grilled yellowtail was so good. The seafood bowl also looked very appetizing with fish overflowing from the bowl. I will definitely come back next time. By the way, there are two entrances, one facing north and the other facing south, but the one on the north side seems to be the main entrance. The other day, I finally finished moving (´Д` ) It was quite tough, phew. While exploring the neighborhood I moved to, I stumbled upon "Uokane"! I decided to step inside and say hello (^^) The interior had a counter-style seating on the right side and tatami rooms. The menu was quite extensive, and the delicious dishes included dried squid and bonito tataki. Since it's the season for squid, you can enjoy fresh seafood right away. If you're looking for a place to enjoy some light fish dishes, I recommend it (^^)

Newly opened! Uoken {Fukuoka City Chuo-ku} 28th September 2016 (Wednesday) I went to Uoken. Head north on Oyafukou Street, and you'll soon reach Nanotsu Street. When I saw the sign, it had the characters for "Isogai"! This must be delicious. Nearby, there's the affordable Chinese restaurant King Gong. For lunch, they offer two menu options from Monday to Friday. I'm aiming for the seafood bowl! The restaurant has a style where you take off your shoes before entering. Both counter seats and table seats are sunken kotatsu style. Here comes the seafood bowl @ 980 yen. Miso soup, pickles, and a small side dish are included. In the middle of the seafood bowl, there sits a sea urchin. The sashimi overflowing adds to the impact! The rice fills the bowl to the brim, so you'll be full. The ikura shines like a jewel! Now, I'll pour the recommended sesame dressing. Under the sashimi is piping hot white rice. The sashimi is fresh, fatty, and delicious. I bet you can also enjoy delicious fish dishes with sake at night. Fukuoka City Chuo-ku Tenjin 3-8-2 The store has irregular holidays, but lunch is available from Monday to Friday.
