▼Location▼
Located outside the 3rd floor ticket gate at Nankai Namba Station.
▼About the Shop▼
Manneken is a popular chain of waffle specialty stores that originated in 1986 in Umeda as Japan's first waffle specialty store. The company, originally operating confectionery and cafes, discovered waffles in Belgium and expanded nationwide from Kanto to Okinawa. The branch at Nankai Namba Station is located in front of the 3rd floor ticket gate.
▼Menu▼
They offer various types of waffles such as plain, chocolate, and maple.
▼Food Ordered▼
- Almond Waffle 170 yen: A waffle baked with roasted almond dice mixed into the batter, giving it a subtle almond flavor and a nice almond texture.
- Chocolate Waffle 170 yen: A simple yet delicious waffle with a chocolate coating that complements the sweetness and flavor of the waffle batter.
▼Impressions▼
I visited this popular waffle chain store after a day out in Nankai. The waffles were freshly made and had a consistent and delicious taste. I tried the Almond and Chocolate waffles, both of which were satisfying. I look forward to trying more waffle varieties at different branches in the future.

Near the ticket gates of Nankai Namba Station, there is a "Manneken Nankai Namba Store" where you can purchase products right before boarding the train, just like "551 Horai"! If you download the app now, you can get a free "Plain Waffle" as a first-time download coupon. This is definitely a great deal, so everyone was downloading it before making a purchase. Of course, I didn't want to miss out, so I downloaded it too! On this day, I bought some souvenirs for my family: Free Plain Waffle, Almond for ¥170, Cookie Chocolat for ¥170, Sweet Potato Butter for ¥180 (discounted to ¥150 with the app), and Pumpkin Purple Sweet Potato for ¥180 (discounted to ¥150 with the app). I was able to purchase them at a great price! The waffles from here are still delicious the next day. Since no one had them for breakfast, around 10:30 am, we enjoyed them as a morning snack with coffee after warming them up in the toaster oven. They were so delicious and satisfying! I also bought a Cream Waffle, which was delicious, and added a photo. I bought two new flavors of Cream Waffle, which were also delicious, and added photos. I noticed the limited-time Strawberry Chocolat flavor and bought it because it looked delicious. It was indeed tasty! Added a photo.

Located right in front of the north exit of Nankai Namba Station, this takeout specialty store is perfect for souvenirs or home sweets. Their autumn limited edition is the Chestnut Waffle for 180 yen, made with Italian chestnut paste kneaded into the dough. Did you know that you can freeze Manneken's waffles? (I didn't know!) This way, you can heat them up and enjoy them whenever you want, which is great! My favorite is the Chocolate for 170 yen, followed by the popular Plain for 170 yen with the flavor of honey and butter. The Almond for 170 yen and Maple for 170 yen are also delicious. I want to go buy some again!

"I see, frozen waffles might be a good idea." With that thought in mind, I stopped by this waffle specialty shop. When it comes to waffles, many people may think of 'Manneken' here. Personally, I tend to imagine a simple waffle wrapped in a napkin like the ones you find in this shop, rather than the decorated waffles with whipped cream and sauce on a plate that you see in some cafes. I hadn't had these waffles for a while, but recently I heard from an acquaintance that they bought a large quantity at once, froze them, and have been enjoying them slowly as snacks. Intrigued by this, I visited the shop after a long time. I used to think that these waffles were meant to be eaten hot on the go, but with the ongoing pandemic, more customers are freezing them at home and enjoying them gradually, as the shop mentioned that they can last for almost three weeks when frozen. This time, I purchased around 10 waffles, mainly the classic flavors like plain and almond. I couldn't finish them all that day, so I wrapped each one in plastic wrap and froze them for the next day and beyond. The waffles from 'Manneken' have a strong flavor in the dough itself, so even when frozen, I didn't feel like the taste deteriorated. Some retail stores also offer individually packaged waffles that can be stored at room temperature, but I think freezing, as I tried, is not bad at all. If you're interested, you should consider it too."

After playing in Minami, on the way back I discovered a mannequin in front of the Nankai Namba station gate! It's combined with Sanmark (=´∀`)人(´∀`=) I love the waffles here, but it seems like they have been in Umeda and Tennoji for a while now, so us Nankai residents haven't had many opportunities to buy them and have been lamenting about it. So, this was a happy discovery ❤️ I immediately stormed into the store and checked out the waffles to take home (¬_¬) They had peach and strawberry waffles as seasonal limited editions, but it was already sold out due to the late hour. So, I opted for a simple chocolate waffle. I rushed home and devoured it, and even though it was simple, the waffles here are delicious ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡ Surprisingly, it was my first time trying the chocolate one (#^.^#) Seasonal limited editions are great, but classic waffles are good too, right? ♬ I'll definitely buy something delicious if I stop by on the way back from playing in Minami again! Thank you for the meal m(_ _)m

For a New Year's Eve mini year-end party, I went to Namba and finished the party early. When I arrived at Namba Station, Takashimaya was already closed at 6 pm, so I decided to buy some Manneken waffles at the Nankai train station before boarding. However... there were so many people in line! Since all the shops were closed, everyone was lining up. While waiting in line, I saw the familiar freshly baked waffles being sold out one by one, which was quite a sight. So on that day, I chose 5 cream waffles for a total of ¥850 (including tax, ¥918). I picked 2 Rare Cheese waffles for ¥200 each and 3 Tiramisu waffles for ¥200 each. I managed to buy my souvenirs safely, but I didn't realize that on New Year's Eve, all the shops close early like this... I learned something new!

I love waffles!! \(^-^)/ I lined up to buy delicious waffles! After study meetings, I crave something sweet! Children also enjoy them, so they make a great souvenir! The waffles available only in June were amazing. The refreshing cheese flavor was delicious! This is definitely the souvenir to get! (^_^)v

Maneken Nankai Namba Station Store - Dodgers pitcher that's Maeken << Date and time created: 2018/08/18 06:16 Blog feeling ball 0/Trackback 0/Comments 0 I went to a waffle shop in Namba, Osaka. The menu is as follows: Plain Butter The flavor is good and delicious. Uji Matcha The aroma of matcha is good and goes well with the sweetness of red beans, making it delicious. Maple The scent of maple syrup is elegant and delicious with a refined sweetness. White Chocolate Berry The rich sweetness of white chocolate with the sweet and sourness of cranberries makes it delicious. Peach and Strawberry The peach aroma in the dough is good, and the cream is slightly sweet, but the sweet and sourness of the strawberries adds a nice accent, making it delicious. The shop is located right after exiting Nankai Namba Station. It's nice to be able to easily try various flavors. I often end up buying too much because the prices are reasonable. It's okay because they last, but I find myself buying limited edition items without thinking. But I think I still like the plain waffle the best. I want to go buy limited edition waffles again. My wife was also satisfied. When transferring from Nankai Electric Railway to Kintetsu Namba Station and walking to Nankai Namba Station, the bakery was right outside the ticket gate. I usually buy at Kintetsu Uehommachi, but today I decided to buy at Nankai Namba Station because I am heading back from Namba. I purchased the limited edition Caramel Chocolat for 172 yen, An Butter for 172 yen, and the classic Almond for 151 yen, Maple for 151 yen. The recommended one is the Caramel Chocolat, it's so delicious that it seems like a waste to have it limited to March only! By the way, the expiration date is until the next day, so I toasted them in the oven the next morning (except for the Caramel Chocolat). My family always enjoys them.

Manneken is a Belgian waffle shop. It was surprising to find it here in the south seas. The area around the station has become very stylish compared to the time when Kansai Airport did not exist, and it is unrecognizable from the past. The waffles have a fluffy and chewy texture, and my favorite is the plain one from Manneken. I also bought some to take home by mixing various toppings. Thank you for the delicious meal.

It might be inspired by the success of L.L. as a similar product of waffle with cream filling was being sold. There was also a limited-time white peach flavor available, but I opted for the simple custard filling priced at 172 yen including tax. They also included a cooling pack in the packaging. The waffle was delicious, reminiscent of Manneken, and the cream had a decent level of sweetness, making it tasty. It could have been a bit sweeter, but perhaps this is the current trend. The size was slightly larger than L.L. Overall, it was a satisfying meal! Bon appétit!

Located in Namba Station, on the 3rd floor of the north exit concourse, right in front of the ticket gate, is this shop. It is combined with several other shops, bright and eye-catching, making it easy to enter. This time, I bought a set of 7 assorted waffles.
- Mixed Berry Waffle: A freshly baked waffle with raspberry-flavored batter, mixed with dried strawberries and blueberries.
- Uji Matcha Waffle: A limited-time waffle made with Uji matcha from Kyoto, with red bean paste inside.
- Almond Waffle: A waffle topped with roasted almonds.
- Chocolate Waffle: A waffle coated with rich bittersweet chocolate.
- Maple Waffle: A waffle with a refined sweetness using maple syrup from Canada.
- Cookie Chocolat Waffle: A waffle with a hint of sweet chocolate flavor, mixed with cocoa biscuit chips.
- Plain Waffle: A Belgian waffle with the rich flavors of honey and butter.

The plain butter aroma is good, slightly sweet and delicious. The chocolate is not too sweet and tasty. The almond nuts have a good crunchy texture and a delicious fragrance. The chocolate chip cookie has a bitter chocolate cookie inside and it's delicious. The maple flavor is good and tasty. The Uji matcha has a good matcha aroma, a slight bitterness, and the sweetness of red beans, making it delicious. The custard chocolate is slightly sweet with a bitter chocolate taste, making it delicious. The shop is located inside Nankai Namba Station. The waffles at Manneken are like sugar cubes, crunchy with a good texture and sweet, which I like. Also, there are various flavors to enjoy. The prices are reasonable, so I end up buying a variety of items. It's easy to take as a souvenir. I would like to come back to buy more.

When you exit the ticket gate at Nankai Namba Station, you are greeted by a pleasant aroma. The smell of Manneken's waffles lures you in, and you end up buying one. First, I tried the classic Maple flavor (151 yen), which had a lovely maple scent and elegant sweetness. The Cookie Chocolat (151 yen) is a limited-time offering, with a crispy cookie topping and a good chocolate flavor. The June limited edition Rare Cheese Waffle (172 yen) features a cheese-flavored batter topped with rare cheese. It tastes like cheesecake and is incredibly delicious.

Located right by the Nanhai ticket gate, between Saint Marc Cafe and a Nordic shop. Every month, they release seasonal waffles which make perfect souvenirs as they can be carried around at room temperature. By the way, this Manneken also offers fluffy waffle sandwiches that are refrigerated. They also have seasonal items, like the January limited edition Honey Custard Waffle for 151 yen, which has a perfect balance of honey and custard sweetness. The slightly crunchy sugar on top is especially delicious. Waffles from Manneken are available in supermarkets and convenience stores, but the ones freshly baked at the store are definitely tastier.

The waffles at Manneken are really delicious. It's been years since I last bought them. I got the plain and caramel flavors this time. Personally, I prefer plain over anything, whether it's cake or manju. So, of course, I chose the plain waffle. There are various flavors available, but I think plain is the best. This is just my preference, though. This shop is located in Nankai Namba Station. It used to be in Namba City, but somehow it moved inside Namba Station. I always end up buying them because they smell so good. They're just so delicious!
