Exploring cafes in Taisho Ward. Cafe Winkle, located on the south side of Chishima Park and Garden Mall, is on the first floor of an apartment building called Park Heights Chishima. The cafe has been in business for over 10 years. The cafe was started by a mom who used to run a pet salon called Merhen. She wanted to have a pet-friendly cafe, but due to opposition from local residents, she had to open it as a regular cafe instead. The bright and spacious space is completely non-smoking and welcomes families. Unfortunately, there is no parking available. There is a slightly high step to enter the store, and there is also a step inside the store. In the back, there are pianos and guitars belonging to her son and daughter, but they do not hold live music events. The cafe plays TV instead of background music. The morning service is available until 11 am. There are three types of morning sets: Morning A for 400 yen (toast, egg, salad, fruit), Morning B for 500 yen (toast, fried egg, salad, fruit), and Morning C for 500 yen (toast, scrambled eggs, salad, fruit). You can choose coffee or tea as your drink, and the price is the same for iced drinks. I ordered an iced coffee with Morning C. The thick-cut mountain toast, fluffy scrambled eggs, generous potato salad, colorful vegetable salad, and banana were all included in the set. It looks great for photos and tastes homemade. It's nice to know that there are cafes like this in Taisho Ward. With good sunlight and ample space, you can enjoy a leisurely morning. Some customers also visit the cafe. Perhaps Cafe Winkle wanted to be a cafe where dogs could come. In that case, the customers are all wagging their tails too! (laughs) Thank you for the meal.
