I visited a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. It's usually crowded and you have to wait outside when it's full, which can be tough on hot days. This time, I waited about 10 minutes outside before being seated. I ordered the hamburger lunch set. The appetizer was a tomato, eggplant, and cheese dish. The sweetness of the vegetables paired perfectly with the stretchy cheese. The homemade bread was a bit salty but I couldn't stop eating it. The sweet potato and chestnut soup had a strong sweet potato flavor with a hint of saltiness from the chestnuts. I wish I could have had a whole bowl of it. The hamburger was juicy and had a light, fluffy texture. For dessert, there was pear compote and panna cotta. The dishes were full of seasonal flavors and everything was delicious!

I visited for lunch during the Bon festival. This was my second visit. Located along Route 1, the building is a bit old but the atmosphere is nicely maintained. I love shrimp, so I ordered the shrimp soup, large shrimp fry, and lobster pasta, all of which were delicious.

I went to the popular restaurant called Otoko-yama for lunch. I didn't need to specify a course when making a reservation, and I ordered the Otoko-yama special course for 4840 yen after being seated. The course included 8 bite-sized appetizers, soup, bread (or rice), shrimp with tomato and sea bream, and Wagyu steak. For dessert, I could choose from several options, and coffee was also included. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a bit old-fashioned but not bad, and the food was decent in taste. The price for this course was also reasonable. If you live nearby and are looking for a place to have a small course meal, this could be a good option. However, there was nothing outstanding that really stood out to me. That's my honest opinion.

I went to the restaurant without making a reservation before lunchtime on a holiday. Luckily, they were able to seat us as the only walk-in group, as all other tables were reserved. I ordered the hamburger lunch set, which came with a tomato and salmon appetizer, turnip potage soup, and a hearty hamburger plate. I was excited to see what I thought was foie gras under the hamburger, but it turned out to be lotus root (my mistake!). Despite this, the hamburger was juicy and delicious, and the sauce was tasty. For dessert, we could choose from three options, so we picked the chocolate cake and pudding. The cake was surprisingly small, and the taste was just okay. However, the pudding in a small jar was absolutely delicious. I forgot to take photos of the appetizer and dessert. Overall, the restaurant had an old-fashioned charm, and although I initially felt the value was not great, I left satisfied with the meal.

I visited this restaurant for the first time in over ten years, despite always seeing it crowded. My family and I went for lunch, and although the restaurant was busy and the food was served slowly, it was delicious. I noticed a line outside even before I entered, so it might be a good idea to make a reservation before going.

It was a restaurant I wanted to try. I ordered the pasta lunch. After a while, there was an unsettling atmosphere. I could hear a man shouting from the kitchen... Maybe they were just busy, but it made me sad to hear that. Even the kids were scared and behaved well (lol). The taste was quite strong. Thank you for the meal.

We visited the restaurant for a birthday lunch with our family of three. I had the packed with flavorful items "Iwashi Muzu Bento" for ¥2300 (excluding tax). It's a great deal! - Beef steak teriyaki -> really tasty with rice! - Sweet shrimp and sea urchin -> high-quality ingredients. - Shrimp fry -> two pieces! - Scallop fritter -> thick batter but decent. - Salmon sushi roll -> average. - Grilled fish (salt-grilled sea bream) -> crispy and delicious! - Roast beef salad -> substantial meaty texture! - Fruit (melon) - Rice - Miso soup - Homemade pickles. My husband had the "Seafood Lunch" for ¥2800 (excluding tax). - Appetizer (avocado, salmon, tomato) -> classic combination. - Soup (winter vegetable potage) -> slightly bland, added salt and pepper from the table to enhance the flavor. - Oyster muniere -> juicy and flavorful! - Crab cream croquette gratin -> croquette and gratin had similar ingredients, wished for more variety. - Dessert - Bread. Our son had the "Special Lunch" for ¥3000 (excluding tax). - Appetizer - Soup (same as above) - Foie gras hamburger -> served sizzling hot with plenty of sauce, delicious! - Large shrimp fry -> juicy and large shrimp! - Small filet steak -> tender and tasty. - Salad - Dessert - Bread. Dessert options include: - Strawberry Bavarois -> plenty of strawberries, rich strawberry flavor. - Earl Grey chiffon cake -> flavorful and large. - Smooth maple syrup pudding -> creamy and delicious. The exterior looks like a regular drive-in, but the atmosphere inside is nice! There is plenty of parking space, so it's recommended! We made a reservation for 11:00 am when they opened, and it quickly filled up. It seems like many people make reservations, so it's safer to do so. We will visit again for another special occasion!

I visited this place for a slightly luxurious lunch as I was nearby for work~! Although the steak curry udon on weekdays only looked tempting, I ordered the popular pasta lunch set instead, which came with appetizers like prosciutto, turnips, and persimmon, as well as bread, pasta, and dessert for only 1980 yen!! Great value for money. The shrimp pasta was served in a ramen bowl-like shape, which was innovative!! It was delicious.

Today I went to Kyoto. For lunch, I went to Otokoyama. I ordered the hamburger lunch and pasta lunch. The hamburger (including tax 2090 yen) and the pasta (1980 yen) were both delicious. The pasta had a shrimp extract sauce that was really tasty. The chestnut tart and pudding for dessert were also delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I have been going to this restaurant in Otoko-yama for a long time! It's a wonderful restaurant with a nice atmosphere, perfect for celebrating special occasions with family and friends! The prices are very reasonable and the food is surprisingly delicious! The lobster and steak are especially tasty! You can even get free refills of white rice! But today, when I tried to get a refill of white rice, they were sold out. Oh well, it happens sometimes! The best part of this Otoko-yama restaurant is the checkout counter!!! The checkout counter is like an aquarium! Look forward to it! Thank you very much! It was a delicious meal!

My family's ancestral grave has been located in Kyoto city for generations. It takes about 1 hour to get there using the highway. When I was a child, I used to think that every family's grave was like that. Now I wonder why it's so far away. After visiting the grave, it's usually around lunchtime, so now I feel a bit guilty, but I look forward to enjoying lunch after paying my respects to my ancestors. Today, I felt like having French cuisine, so I came to Restaurant Otokoyama. I had been here once before. When I looked at the menu, I was immediately drawn to the set meal of Wagyu sirloin steak and curry udon. I ordered it! The Wagyu sirloin steak was delicious on its own! But when I poured the curry over it, it became even more delicious! The udon was also delicious, like curry udon! The bread was tasty too! Everything was so delicious! For dessert, I had their recommended pudding! For my drink, I chose the rich peach juice! This might be the best part of the meal! Overall, it was a fantastic lunch! I'm glad I followed my feeling of wanting French cuisine today! Thank you for the meal!

On June 12th (Saturday), my wife and I enjoyed various types of irises at the iris garden in Yamada Ike Park, and then it was time for lunch. Initially, we tried to go to a new miso ramen specialty store in the ramen battleground of Yahata, but the line was incredibly long. It was too hot to wait in line, so we gave up. Then I remembered this restaurant, an old-established restaurant that has been around for quite some time. We arrived around 11:40 am. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm. We were seated at a table by the window at the back of the restaurant. Looking at the menu, there were course meals (at a decent price), but we opted for the lunch menu. I chose the "Hamburger Lunch" (1800 yen) and my wife chose the "Pasta Lunch" (1700 yen). After a short wait, the first dish that came out was a small bottle of chilled appetizer, "Summer Vegetable Lacto-fermented". I tried "Lacto-fermented" for the first time, and it brought out the natural sweetness and umami of the vegetables beautifully. Next was the "Clam and Cabbage Cream Soup". The hot soup was full of clams. It had a slight curry flavor and a rich taste, making it delicious. Then came the main dish, the "Hamburger" with a simple but beautifully arranged plate with green watercress and red and yellow bell peppers. The side dish was mashed potatoes. When I cut into the hamburger, it was tender and juicy, with meat juices oozing out. I took a bite and it was tender and juicy, but the demiglace sauce was a bit lacking in flavor. Maybe I had set my expectations too high after the delicious appetizer and soup? And then dessert. You can choose from three types. I chose the "Peach Jelly and Mousse". The cold jelly and mousse were subtly sweet and delicious. Finally, a strong and delicious coffee. It was the best coffee I had recently! I was very satisfied. Thank you for the meal. My wife's "Pasta Lunch" had chewy fresh pasta with plenty of large shrimp, and the melon cake dessert was also delicious. She said, "For 1700 yen, this is definitely worth it!"

Located along National Route 1 is the restaurant Otokoyama. This long-standing establishment has been working hard for many years. It is right near the Osho restaurant. The restaurant has a nostalgic feel, allowing you to relax. We tried the creative course menu. The price is reasonable, and the food has a comforting and delicious taste. The chef who can offer this kind of flavor in a course menu can showcase various skills, but considering the size and operation of the restaurant, the taste was satisfying. Personally, I enjoy this flavor. I thought it might be empty on a weekday and at this time of year, but there were several groups dining, so I realized that it is popular. As a restaurant that has been running for a long time, I hope they continue to do well.

This time I used it for a revenge dinner! When I used it for lunch before, I had mixed feelings. But this time for dinner! It was better than lunch last time. The volume was great, and I was able to eat a variety of dishes. The pudding I had last time for lunch was deliciously creamy. The steak was so tender, it felt like it had been simmered. Even with just the 1/2 course, the amount was satisfying. Almost too much, in fact. It would be nice if there was a little more attention to detail, like polishing the forks and the way the dishes are served, and wiping off the sauce on the plates after serving, both for lunch and dinner. The fact that they have a spacious parking lot is much appreciated!

The interior, exterior, and presentation are not very impressive, but the taste is definitely good. It's incredibly delicious and satisfying. This time I tried the lunch set with black wagyu steak for around 5000 yen, but was it worth it? I think the course set for around 3000 yen is enough! It comes with shrimp fry, mini steak, and hamburger, all of which are really delicious. If you want to enjoy a delicious and hearty Western meal, you might choose this place occasionally.

I went to this old restaurant with a friend for lunch. There were a lot of cars parked outside, so I was curious to try it. The lunch was very filling! However, it seemed like the staff was understaffed and struggling to keep up. Personally, the food didn't leave a lasting impression on me... but the pudding was delicious!

I always drive along Route 1 and see a retro-looking cabin-like drive-in building on the right-hand side... It turns out to be a restaurant!! And it has a nostalgic and slightly upscale feel to it. I was curious, so I decided to check it out ^_^ The parking lot is spacious and easy to gather in. I was able to make a reservation for 12 o'clock on the same day, but there was a sign in front of the restaurant saying that it was fully booked for the day. Close call! Inside, there is a Showa-era luxury vibe reminiscent of an old-fashioned hotel. The seats and tables have a retro charm. There are many ladies and gentlemen, and it seems like there are a lot of adult customers. There is no typical lively lunchtime atmosphere with women gathering around. I chose the hamburger course for ¥1800 + tax from the lunch menu. It includes appetizers of bamboo shoots and meat sauce, shrimp soup, bread or rice, Miyazaki beef hamburger, dessert (choice of strawberry Bavarian cream, chocolate cake, or smooth pudding), and coffee or tea. Overall, it was a well-balanced and easy-to-eat course that didn't feel heavy. The hamburger was especially fluffy and incredibly delicious! The perfect amount of juicy meat and flavor, combined with the fluffiness. I was very satisfied ^_^ The smooth pudding was also delicious, with a smooth top and a slightly firm middle, and a creamy bottom. The exterior may seem intimidating, but once you step inside, it's a lovely restaurant where you can forget about the daily hustle and bustle and enjoy a leisurely meal. It would be even better if it were a bit more affordable...!

I went to the restaurant Otokoyama, located between McDonald's and Ousho on Route 1. The old sign has been replaced with a new one, creating a more inviting atmosphere. The interior of the restaurant has a retro Showa-era Western-style feel with a touch of luxury. The tables have high-priced course menus as placemats, making you tempted to choose one. I decided to splurge on the Otokoyama special course for 3800 yen. First, I had the appetizer, which was filling on its own. It's perfect for those who want to try a variety of dishes. The warm Western dishes were delicious, especially the beef stew. The cheese fondue and bread in the middle were great, and the Japanese dish at the back was also tasty. I wish the plates were cuter and had more explanation for each dish. Next, I had corn soup and bread. The soup was full of corn, and the bread came with butter, which made me happy as it's becoming rare. I had seconds, and this time it was French bread. Then, I had the sautéed sea bream, which had a classic taste. The tomato sauce was okay. The main dish was the Wagyu steak, which was decently delicious. Lastly, I had the homemade pudding for dessert. It was good, but not outstanding. The seafood pasta that the people next to me were eating looked more delicious, so I'll try that next time. This restaurant is recommended for family celebrations, especially for elderly people who would enjoy it.

I visited for the first time in about 5 years. This time, it was the end of the year, so the parking lot was almost full, with about 3 groups waiting. There was no waiting list, so I couldn't write my name and wait from a distance, I had to line up behind the people in front of me. There were only two chairs for waiting, and the waiting area was small, so I wished they would improve that. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we were seated. I looked at the menu and thought everything looked delicious, so I chose the half-course. It seems that each dish is only half the usual portion. The appetizers were brought out, but there was no explanation. I wonder if it's always like that? The other dishes were also just placed on the table, so I felt the staff were a bit indifferent. However, they quickly refilled our water and cleared empty plates, and the dishes were served promptly, so that was good. The staff were all efficient and moved quickly. Although it was busy because it was full, the service was not rushed. Lastly, I was able to choose from 3 dessert options and I chose the pudding. It had creamy texture and was delicious. It had maple syrup in it, so it was on the sweeter side. The half-course portion was just right and I was satisfied. It was nice that you could choose from 6 different fish dishes for the main course. The meat was also tender.

I visited the Western-style restaurant Restaurant Otokoyama along Route 1 in Hachiman City, Kyoto. The concept seems to be a mix of Japanese spirit and Western influence, and I enjoyed delicious hamburg steak and pudding. I went with a friend by car on a weekend evening. The restaurant was quite popular and almost full, but we managed to get a table. The parking lot is always full during lunchtime as well. This was my third visit. The restaurant seems to have been around for a while, but the interior is clean and has a nice atmosphere. The staff were all very polite and attentive. My friend and I ordered the Miyazaki Black Wagyu Hamburg Steak Course for 2700 yen, which came with various small dishes like beef stew, rolled omelette, cheese-grilled burdock, shrimp fry, okra with wasabi sauce, ham mayonnaise, raw salmon, mushroom and dried young sardines, beef ginger mince, and focaccia. Each dish was presented in a cute and appealing way. The corn cream soup was hot and creamy. The barrel-shaped hamburg steak was moist and flavorful, with a slightly bitter demiglace sauce. It was said that the meat was minced with a knife instead of a machine to bring out the natural flavor. The salad was fresh and delicious, with crunchy lettuce, shredded carrots, and cherry tomatoes. For dessert, we had a smooth pudding with maple syrup, served in a jar. I would love to come back and enjoy the hamburg steak and pudding again. It was a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful blend of Japanese spirit and Western cuisine. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will visit again.
