I visited after a long time. What a surprise!! I am grateful that the prices are still the same even in these times. The fried yellowtail and lotus root with spicy sauce were delicious. The lotus root was crunchy and the yellowtail was tender! I enjoyed it very much.

It turns out they have been operating as an NPO for about 40 years, selling naturally leavened bread at the storefront. The daily lunch special here was very well-prepared and delicious. For only 770 yen, you can enjoy such a tasty and filling lunch. I will definitely visit again! It was a hot day, so the complimentary barley tea was much appreciated.

Morning service ends at 11:00, and lunch service starts at 12:00. During the time in between (11:00-12:00), there are about 13 types of bread available for purchase. When trying to buy natural yeast bread, the staff kindly offered to enjoy it in the store. The TV is playing background music, and on the wall, there is a photo of "Full Moon Pudding (150 yen)" and a sign suggesting to have freshly baked bread with a drink. The store's system allows customers to choose between rice or bread during tea time (14:00-17:00). During lunchtime (12:00-14:00), choosing rice will get you either the daily curry or the daily lunch special. For example, today's lunch menu includes shiitake stuffed with Chinese cabbage, layered pork belly with cabbage, oyakodon, and fried mackerel with miso sauce for 650 yen (800 yen with a drink). From 11:00 to 12:00, the staff in red aprons are busy preparing lunch. There are counter seats and table seats, with sauce and soy sauce on the tables. The natural yeast bread is cut, warmed, and lightly spread with butter that has a subtle miso-like flavor. Next time, I plan to try the grape bread (the store seems to be related to supported employment).
