I arrived at the store at 11:09 AM, but it was already full with over a dozen cars and a dozen people waiting outside. I had to wait for about 30 minutes before entering. I bought scones with apple, walnut, almond, and sweet potato. I had the preconception that waiting in line for scones was silly, but I was there to accompany my wife. I usually don't like pastries that absorb all the moisture in your mouth, like Mister Donut's Old Fashioned, but these scones were surprisingly delicious and didn't have that issue. I guess that's a sign of why this place is so popular.

Scones have been a bit of a trend lately, so I was curious about this shop. I was planning to visit during a special event, but I figured there would be a long line, so I decided to go to the store instead. Despite the terrible weather on Sunday, about 10 people were lining up outside when the store opened (it seemed like it would be crowded for about 30 minutes after opening, but it wasn't full later on). My feet were soaked and I just wanted to go home as soon as possible. They had a large selection of scones and the prices seemed reasonable.
- Almond Zamando (popular, limited to 2 per person): With almond slices on top, when reheated, the top part becomes cookie-like. The almond cream inside makes the center soft and moist. The rum flavor is subtle, adding a nice touch. It's enjoyable with various textures, and it would probably go well with raisins.
- Apple Rum Cinnamon: A limited edition scone made with apples from Yoichi. The rum and cinnamon flavors were not very strong (or not noticeable at all), as the apple flavor was dominant. It's quite moist and soft, and the apple scone was a unique choice.
- Purple Sweet Potato Butter Sandwich: Made with rich purple sweet potato for a smooth texture. The sandwich is recommended to be kept at room temperature, but it might get too moist that way. I removed the top and lightly warmed it in the oven to revive its moistness. I've always dreamed of scone sandwiches, but if they can't be warmed, it might not be for me.
- Chocolate Cocoa: Made with 58% chocolate chips in a cocoa dough. It was indeed a scone with a mild sweetness. As a bonus, there was likely an Earl Grey scone included, with a noticeable tea leaf flavor that I enjoyed. It would probably go well with cream. Overall, scone shops are quite competitive, and I wish the trend would calm down a bit.

I finally stopped by the scone specialty store in Yoichi that I had been curious about (*'ω'*). There was a line in front of the store, as only up to 2 groups were allowed inside at a time. I thought since it was takeout only, I would be able to enter quickly, but surprisingly, I ended up waiting for about 20 minutes in the scorching heat (lol).
*Plain (240 yen)*: The basic scone that serves as the foundation. The texture is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Personally, I think it pairs well with coffee rather than tea. It has a delicious taste with a good sense of wheat and butter quality.
*An Butter Sandwich (300 yen)*: Made with Tokachi red bean paste and fermented butter. Simply warming it up made it melt in your mouth, and it was delicious. It seemed to be a limited edition item, as there was a purchase limit of 2 per person or 4 per group.
*Cheese (270 yen)*: A fragrant scone made with natural cheese and mozzarella cheese.
*Chocolate Chip (270 yen)*: A classic and delicious scone with 56% cocoa chocolate chips.
*Chocolate (280 yen)*: A scone for chocolate lovers, made with cocoa dough and 78% cocoa chocolate chips. It can be reheated in the microwave and toaster to enjoy the freshly baked taste. The size is substantial with chunks of chocolate, providing a satisfying eating experience.
All ingredients are sourced from Hokkaido, and they do not use margarine or vegetable oils, which shows their commitment to quality. I think it's a good value for the price. If it were in Sapporo, they would probably sell each for around 50 yen more.
As a bonus, a mini scone with a tea-like flavor was included, and it was also delicious. This is a store I would like to visit every time I go to Yoichi (*'ω'*).

In June 2021, there is a popular scone specialty shop located at the end of a narrow road in a residential area in Yoichi. Despite its hard-to-find location, the shop is quite popular. The entrance is on the backyard side, with a large tree providing a cozy dining area. The interior of the shop is very cute, decorated in an antique, pop, and natural style. Although the shop has sold out twice, it seems that if you go early on weekdays, there are plenty of products available with a limit on the number of items you can purchase. The flavors available include Banana Chocolate Chip for 280 yen and Maple Walnut for 280 yen. Following the instructions, after microwaving and lightly baking in the oven, a delightful aroma fills the room. The scones are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and when you break them open, steam rises, offering a simple and gentle taste that is different from the scones I am familiar with. They are incredibly delicious. I envy the locals who have easy access to this shop in Yoichi. I will definitely buy more when I visit Yoichi again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Poroco for the first time. After going to Yoichi to eat sea urchin rice bowl, I used the navigation to arrive. The entrance was not in the front, but in the back with a cute design! I couldn't resist taking a photo of the adorable entrance. When I arrived, there were a few people waiting in line to avoid crowding. They had a wide variety of scones, and I wanted to try them all, so I got three to take home. I also bought a drink on the way and enjoyed my scones while looking at the sea. They were very filling and delicious. It seems like they sell out quickly due to their popularity, so I recommend going early!

The first and second time were both really delicious. The couple and their baby welcomed us. The products were lined up in a row. I want to try them all (lol). I missed out on trying some on the first visit, so I bought them on the second visit. In total, I purchased plain, matcha and chocolate chip, citrus, roasted green tea and white chocolate, Earl Grey, sweet potato, and soybean flour flavors. They were all delicious. They also have seasonal limited editions. Next time, I have to buy a brioche.

No matter what you eat, it's really delicious♡ The products vary from day to day, so it's exciting to see what they have! Raspberry was the best, but it's not available now as it was a limited edition! Hojicha is also delicious~! Cheese is crispy and delicious when baked♡ However, it's soft and delicious even when eaten as is! Eating it will make you feel healed and happy♡

When I went to Yoichi, I stopped by this cute American-style shop that you can't see from the street but can find around the corner. Inside, it was filled with my favorite knick-knacks - kitschy, pop, colorful, and adorable! The shop opened at 11 am, but when I arrived around 11:10 am, there were already 10 groups waiting in line! The scones displayed stylishly were quickly disappearing. I heard they sell out before noon on weekends. The prices are all excluding tax: Plain 240 yen, Rye/Kinako 250 yen, Chocolate/3 types of raisin/Cheese/Matcha & chocolate chip 270 yen, Sweet potato 280 yen, Raspberry butter sand 300 yen, with a limit of 2 per person. The scones are made with all Hokkaido ingredients and have a subtle sweetness, so it's best to warm them up at home and spread honey or jam on them. Thank you "Merci" for the delicious treats!

In February, I received a gift from this place for the first time, and this time I went directly to the shop to buy it. After enjoying a delicious pork cutlet curry at the nearby pachinko parlor on a Saturday afternoon, I drove down the road parallel to the national highway, took a left at the Y intersection, and had a bit of trouble finding the shop due to its narrow and confusing location. I parked in the parking lot and entered the shop, which had a vibe similar to a miscellaneous goods store. I bought the "Raspberry Butter Sandwich Scone" and the "Three Kinds of Raisin Scone," limited to two per person, as they were featured on TV. I tried them as soon as I got home, and the scones had an even stronger flavor than last time. The Raspberry Butter Sandwich Scone had a more impactful taste compared to the other scones sold here. It's likely to be well-received even by those who aren't big fans of scones but like raspberries. However, it seems to be a limited-time offer, so by the time this review is posted, it may no longer be available. The Three Kinds of Raisin Scone was delicious, especially when you split it open and spread butter inside. The friendly shop owner and the quality of the scones really impressed me, so I would like to visit this place regularly if I have the chance.

This is a shop that is hard to find even when you register the address in your navigation system after searching on the internet. The parking lot can accommodate about 6-7 cars, but the entrance road is narrow, so you may need to take turns giving way in the winter. Inside the shop, there is a very nice smell of butter. The shop has a cute atmosphere, with lots of cute toys and miscellaneous goods on display. The staff use iPhones for payment instead of a register, so there are no receipts, giving the shop a cozy feel. As for the scones, the price is around 400 yen each, with some types having a limit of two per person. The taste is delicious, especially when warmed up in the microwave according to the "delicious way to eat" instructions included. Despite expectations of dryness, the scones have a moist, bread-like texture and are easy to eat without making a mess, making them a perfect souvenir for children.

A long line in a place with nothing special. The store is small, so only a few people can go inside at a time, making the turnover slow and the wait longer than expected. It took a normal 1 hour, messing up my schedule afterwards. It's fine if you have plenty of time, but I personally don't think it's worth waiting that long.

I'm sorry there are no photos! I bought 5 of them, and I'm currently eating an An Butter Sand. Isn't it delicious? What a perfect balance. It may sound exaggerated, but I think it's a miraculous taste. It's a lovely place both inside and out, but I thought it might be a place where girls would be Instagramming, yet the taste is outstanding. No wonder even middle-aged men come alone to buy. If I pass by Yoichi again, I might go. But if I keep thinking like this, it might be sold out, so I'll go before it opens ⊂((・x・))⊃

The outside is crispy, the inside is moist, and there is plenty of volume with a variety of flavors. I plan to buy a lot and enjoy it as a daily snack.

It's been a year since my last visit. I arrived just after 12pm because I saw on Facebook that they sell out by early afternoon! As usual, there was a line outside, and even the people after us had arrived. I was able to get the strawberry chocolate chip flavor on their last day, so I'm glad I made it in time! The ice cream was still as delicious and generous as ever. Maybe I'll come back again next year. Thank you for the meal. I ate it before taking a picture.
