In my neighborhood, shopping days are very convenient as there are several supermarkets within walking distance or a short drive away, such as Life and Co-op. Since I have been eating out less, I have been visiting supermarkets and bakeries more often. Today, I went to MaxValu, which is part of the Aeon group, to buy ingredients for lunch and dinner. I also picked up a bottle of domestic whisky that I have been interested in, "Hachikuma" from Minami Alps Wine, from the alcohol section. I also grabbed some Petit Mentaiko from the bread section. I had to cancel my planned long drive to Tohoku at the end of May, so I cancelled all the reservations I had made for hotels, inns, and ferries. I look forward to the day when the COVID-19 situation settles down and we can freely walk around again.

The 3-star tonkatsu was delicious! I often visit this place.
