On this day, I decided to visit "Yakitori Dining Torikazoku" on a whim.
◇ Exterior and Interior
I received a notification from my cheeky junior that a new restaurant had opened in Kurosaki Arcade. The exterior is fresh and not too casual or too trendy, giving off a slightly upscale yakitori restaurant vibe. The interior is casual but still clean and well-maintained. Background music was playing, with classic Western music on this day. The interior is non-smoking, but there is an ashtray outside.
◇ Seating
There are counter seats, table seats, and four private rooms, three of which can be connected for larger groups.
◇ Menu Structure
The menu includes yakitori, salads, a la carte dishes, fried dishes, quick menu items, rice dishes, desserts, and limited-time menu items. Notable items include a hot pot using Nagoya Cochin chicken and limited-time menu items. I ordered the following:
- Chicken Tataki (1000 yen): A limited-time menu item made with Nagoya Cochin chicken. Served shortly after ordering, the presentation was stylish rather than the typical Tataki style. It came with condiments such as yuzu pepper, grated garlic, grated ginger, and sliced onions. The meat was rare and very delicious. The minimal cooking process seemed to bring out the quality of the ingredients. The ponzu sauce was unexpectedly good.
- Grilled Yam (600 yen): I couldn't resist ordering the grilled yam. This one had a good quality and smooth texture, fitting the restaurant's concept. It was smooth and not too heavy. The only downside was the lack of shredded seaweed, which should be improved.
◆ Strengths
An elegant yakitori dining experience! The ponzu sauce made with "Goto Soy Sauce" from Yahata, Kitakyushu, is excellent.
◆ Service
The service was polite and reassuring.
◆ Conclusion
In these times, having private rooms available is a plus. I left the restaurant thinking that it's nice to enjoy yakitori at such a place once in a while. Thank you for the meal! ^ ^
