I found a restaurant near JR Higashi-Yodogawa Station that serves Xi'an cuisine, so I went there. The staff are Chinese, and most of the customers when I went were also Chinese, with Chinese being spoken throughout the restaurant. It's a genuine Chinese restaurant. However, they also understand Japanese to some extent. Looking at the menu, there were items that you don't usually see in typical Chinese restaurants. More than half of the menu is written in traditional Chinese characters, so I couldn't read it, but there are pictures of the dishes so you can imagine what they are like. "Roujiamo" is a food where minced meat is placed inside bread. "Liángpí" is a noodle made from rice flour formed into a paste. "Biangbiang noodles" are noodles that are much wider than hand-stretched noodles. These seem to be typical dishes of Xi'an cuisine. Since I wasn't sure what to order for the first time, I played it safe and ordered the salted cartilage ramen. The salted cartilage ramen had a generous serving of octagonal-flavored cartilage chashu on top of ramen. The soup was a light chicken-based shirataki, and the noodles were thick and straight. The taste was clearly different from Japanese ramen, with a light and bone broth umami flavor. The cartilage was simmered well and very tender. It has a slightly unique flavor that is common in genuine Chinese cuisine, so you may love it or hate it. I enjoyed it. On a revisit, this time I ordered Biangbiang noodles and mapo tofu rice bowl (950 yen). Biangbiang noodles are noodles that are stretched by hand while being pounded, with a width of 4-5cm. They were making it by pounding and stretching in the kitchen. There was black vinegar and something like Hua jiao oil at the bottom of the bowl, which you mix and eat. It's delicious, like oil noodles! The noodles are chewy. The taste and spiciness are strong. You can specify the level of spiciness. I thought it was cold noodles, but they were warm. The noodles are so wide that they have a lot of texture. Since there is no meat topping, I also want to try the cartilage topping (300 yen). I might prefer the Biangbiang noodles. I think the prices are reasonable. There are many menu items that are not commonly found in Osaka, so I will continue to try various dishes.

It's very cheap! Honestly, the portion sizes on the menu are small but the lamb is delicious. It's perfect for summer. There are days when there are many Chinese people in the restaurant, which adds to the foreign atmosphere.
