- It's a 4-minute walk west from the south exit of Yotsubashi Station on the Osaka Metro, in Kita-Horie. I went to an izakaya where they are good at fish dishes, invited by a friend. The interior of the restaurant is bright and clean, with a sense of cleanliness. They have counter seats, table seats, and semi-private rooms. We sat in a semi-private room and started with a draft beer. The Suntory Premium (Kamihaba) for ¥600 was refreshing with a rich aroma of aroma hops. We ordered the "Uogashieen Course" for ¥8,500 (7 items), which requires a reservation in advance. The contents may vary depending on the season and ingredients. - Appetizers (upper): 1) Conger eel bladder - crispy and delicious, 2) Sesame tofu - rich sesame flavor, 3) Salmon roe rice - consistently tasty, 4) Kegani crab - the crab meat, innards, and crab miso were amazing. - Assorted sashimi (upper): Sea bream, octopus, sea urchin, conger eel, squid, bonito tataki, sardine, cutlassfish, scallop, oyster, rock oyster - each piece was too big to eat in one bite. - Seasonal vegetables: Izumi eggplant, Shizuoka Amelato tomato - the eggplant had a silky texture and the tomato was sweet like a fruit. - Grilled abalone and octopus, seasonal hot dish: Pumpkin potage with shrimp and white dumplings. - Tempura or fried chicken: 1) Long green pepper, 2) Higashino fig, 3) Conger eel from Tokushima - all delicious. - Sushi for the main dish: Bonito, cutlassfish, fatty tuna with sea urchin - the cutlassfish was BIG size. - Rare sake and local sake at reasonable prices, such as Kikuma from Nara for ¥770 (unfiltered raw sake, dry junmai ginjo) - goes well with fish dishes. - Overall, the course menu was great, but I would like to visit again for a la carte options. They have a wide variety of dishes, and I want to try the grilled dishes and pair them with sake. I had a course meal at this restaurant. The shop is run by a market wholesaler, and they served delicious fish dishes from start to finish. The conversation got a bit lively, and I forgot to take photos of 2 or 3 dishes. I definitely want to come back to this restaurant.

It all started when I went to this restaurant because it was close to my house. This place is not just about fresh fish. They have a wide variety of menu items, including meat. The menu is so interesting and everything looks delicious. The draft beer is Sapporo Premium, and it is really tasty. The appetizers are also amazing, like the simmered conger eel we had that day. The seared alfonsino, dried gurnard, fried octopus, and thread-sail filefish liver rolls were all incredibly delicious! Honestly, I don't want to tell anyone about this place because it's so good, but I'm sure everyone will be surprised by how tasty everything is.

I was working around Yotsuhashi Station today and was looking for lunch during my lunch break. I ended up getting drawn into a nice seafood restaurant called "Uogashi Ichidou". The interior was modern and clean, and there were a few customers already there around 12:00 on a weekday. I ordered the seafood bowl for 1,000 yen, which came with five kinds of sashimi and shirasu on top. The presentation was beautiful and the sashimi was delicious, with a nice texture and flavor. The amount of shirasu was satisfying, and I enjoyed the punch of wasabi. If I had to nitpick, I would have liked a bit more rice and a stronger dashi flavor in the miso soup. Overall, it was a great lunch with delicious sashimi!

Today I had lunch here. I decided to revisit because I had a delicious lunch here before. The owner and chef greeted me warmly at the counter. I ordered the "Gyoshirasu Don" again. It included seared bonito, saury, octopus, whitebait, mackerel, and eel. There was also eel, which was not listed on the menu. The octopus was a bit thin, but there was plenty of seared bonito, so I was very satisfied. If you want to eat fish in this area, I recommend this place. You can enjoy rare types of fish here. I mentioned this before, but I would like to visit for dinner next time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Today I had lunch here. With the declaration of a state of emergency in the Greater Tokyo Area, followed by Kansai region, it seems like a critical situation for individually owned businesses. In times like these, I feel the need to support small local shops, even though big corporations are also facing challenges. That's why I decided to visit this place as I was craving seafood. The restaurant opened about six months ago, but I hadn't had the chance to visit until now. The interior is spacious with table seating and a counter, and there are three staff members including the owner, the chef, and a floor staff. The owner greeted me warmly behind his mask. Since seafood is their specialty, I ordered a seafood bowl. They offer some rare fish varieties, such as young saury, young blackfin tuna, and flathead. Other toppings included octopus, salmon roe, whitebait, and conger eel, totaling seven kinds. The wasabi seemed to be mountain wasabi, which has a milder kick compared to regular wasabi. The freshness and richness of the fish were evident in each bite, especially the young blackfin tuna was exceptionally delicious. The rice portion was a bit small, so it might not be filling for adult men, but it was just right for me in the current circumstances. I look forward to coming back for dinner next time. The fish here are all natural! They use no artificial seasonings or chemicals, and the vegetables are organic. The restaurant used to be in Higashi-Shinsaibashi, but has moved here. The quality of the food is amazing considering the prices. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere, so if you're looking for cheap eats, it may seem expensive, but the taste and quality of the ingredients are on par with a high-end restaurant. The photos show smoked fatty tuna rolls and a sashimi platter of natural fish. When you ask the chef for a recommendation, they will bring out something great. I haven't been there recently, but I'm itching to go back.

This is my second visit of the day. If you don't consider the cost-performance ratio, this restaurant has a lot of originality and the food is delicious. I was determined to order the takoyaki (charcoal-grilled octopus for sashimi) that was so delicious last time, and I got my wish. I ordered ikura soy-marinated whitebait with grated daikon, bonito tataki soba (original soba of the restaurant), cucumber with mustard pickles, grilled scallops, and as a complimentary dish, shrimp fry, potato salad, fried hatahata fish. Everything is delicious. The attitude of serving seasonal ingredients in a more delicious way is like a traditional Japanese restaurant, but it feels like an izakaya. I really like it. The prices are a bit high, but they seem to be targeting a high-end clientele in Kitahorie. The menu is a bit limited, and it's a little disappointing that you get the same dishes if you visit at the same time, but since it's only the first year of opening, let's look forward to the future!

I discovered a new fish restaurant that had opened without me realizing it. The menu consists only of fish dishes, which was quite impressive. The restaurant pays great attention to detail, and I can sense their dedication to sourcing high-quality fish and preparing it in a delicious way. I found the restaurant to be a must-visit again. Some of the dishes I tried included a selection of sashimi, grilled octopus, shrimp tempura, fried white fish, octopus Karaage, grilled fish, and Ikura soy sauce marinated rice. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The staff were friendly and even offered us complimentary dishes. Overall, it was a fantastic restaurant with a great selection of drinks. Just be aware that they only serve fish dishes, so if you're in the mood for meat, this may not be the place for you.

I happened to discover this restaurant by chance, but as I listened to the conversation, I became interested and decided to visit. On this day, I ordered the casual set menu. The potato salad served as an appetizer was excellent and has been loved for 20 years. After a short wait, a sashimi assortment arrived. Since they source directly from the central wholesale market, all the sashimi was fresh and of high quality, which is rare for this price. The flounder and fin of a flatfish were especially delicious! Next, they grilled octopus and shellfish on a net, which was the restaurant's specialty. The octopus and shellfish were served semi-raw, and when I tried them semi-raw, I couldn't help but smile. Various other dishes were served, and by the time we finished eating, I was pleasantly full. It was a happy time to enjoy delicious food and feel satisfied at this price. The chef was also very interesting, and I look forward to visiting the restaurant again. Thank you for the meal.

I went to a restaurant called "Uogashi Ichou" that I had been wanting to visit since the start of the pandemic. They opened at a new location on March 26, 2020, and they source their fish daily from the Osaka Central Wholesale Market. I had heard that the fish there is absolutely delicious! I planned to go for dinner because I had been told over the phone that for lunch, you can only order a set menu. This time, I was seated at a table right by the entrance, so it was difficult to take a picture, but the food was really delicious. They also have counter seats, so it's fine to visit alone. I made a reservation for a Friday, but it seems like it's okay to walk in without a reservation if you're alone. It's not really a place for a date, as it's lively with older gentlemen drinking and having a good time, so it might feel a bit cramped if you're alone. They have a wide variety of izakaya dishes, including hotpot and charcoal-grilled items, which were also delicious. They have a good selection of drinks as well. I ordered takoyaki and scallop charcoal-grilled, and they were both delicious because the ingredients themselves were great. Takoyaki was surprisingly different from what I had imagined. The rolled omelette was also on the less sweet side. The mentaiko potato salad was really tasty. There are many other dishes I want to try, so I'll go back again next time. The cost performance is a bit on the higher side, so I'll probably go after payday. I'll try going for lunch next time.

I ordered the Uogashi donburi. It came with a set of George noodles (original noodles similar to soba). There was plenty of sashimi and the noodles were chewy and delicious.
