It's been a while since I visited Shinsaibashi. For lunch, I wanted to eat... I went to a place that opens at 12 o'clock and had the tataki set meal! No, I also wanted to eat karaage so I added 2 pieces as a topping. As always, they welcomed me with a cold oshibori and placed a pot within easy reach for me to help myself to tea! It had been a while since I last had it, but the rice was too hard... which was disappointing. It was already on the firm side to begin with... But as always, the moist hijiki with the tataki and the tamagoyaki were delicious! This was my first time having lunch in Shinsaibashi in a while. The ratio of men to women in the restaurant was 50-50.

The restaurant opens at 12:00 and is almost full as soon as it opens. This is a must-visit spot for me when I work in Shinsaibashi. The first time I came, I was intrigued by the garlic-free fried chicken made without artificial seasonings, and I was hooked by the hot dashimaki tamago that comes with it. Next, I tried the chicken breast tataki, which was delicious. The yakisoba is made with homemade sauce and topped with squid, not pork, which caught my attention. It was also delicious and gentle on the palate. I haven't tried the chicken cutlet or grilled mackerel yet, but they are popular choices here. Before I stop working in Shinsaibashi, I want to try the chicken breast tataki set with an extra piece of fried chicken. You can get a small discount on rice. When I visited after a long time, the hijiki side dish had been replaced with potato salad, but it was still delicious. They start grilling the dashimaki tamago as soon as they open at 12:00, so the food may take 10-15 minutes to be served. The chicken breast tataki, marinated in ginger soy sauce, is moist and tender, cooked to perfection. The freshly cooked rice was also delicious.

I want to eat chicken katsu set meal ♬ When I visited after a long time, the counter had about 90% of solo female customers. Before, there were more salarymen and female groups, but now everyone is dining alone. I also sat at the counter. The menu includes: ● Chicken Katsu Set Meal 740 yen - Chicken katsu, dashimaki tamago, rice, miso soup, pickles. The chicken katsu is made from tender chicken breast meat. ● Chicken Karaage Set Meal 800 yen - Karaage, dashimaki tamago, side dish, rice, miso soup, pickles. No chemical seasonings are used, only powdered bonito and kombu, salt, and pepper for seasoning. No garlic is used. ● Chicken Breast Tataki Set Meal 800 yen - Chicken breast tataki, dashimaki tamago, side dish, rice, miso soup, pickles. Healthy chicken breast tataki marinated in ginger soy sauce. ● Salted Mackerel Set Meal 800 yen - Salted mackerel, dashimaki tamago, side dish, rice, miso soup, pickles. Fatty salted mackerel served with grated daikon. ● Yakisoba Set Meal 820 yen - Squid yakisoba, dashimaki tamago, side dish, rice, miso soup, pickles. Squid yakisoba with homemade sauce, served with sudachi or lemon. They open for lunch at 12:00, but they may run out of food, probably due to rice shortage. I always appreciate the towel and tea according to the season. Today, I ordered the chicken katsu set meal, but it took about 20 minutes to arrive due to the timing of customer influx. It might be better to come around 12:30. The freshly cooked dashimaki tamago was served because they ran out. The chicken katsu was delicious even without garlic. The rice was slightly firm, and the seasoned hijiki was tasty. Chicken katsu, tataki, and mackerel are also popular choices. Everything seems to be delicious. I should try the chicken katsu next time ♬ After paying, they politely escorted me to the door. A delicious lunch spot for under 1000 yen. I have been coming here since I started working in Shinsaibashi.

I want to eat either chicken katsu or fried chicken... It's been a while since I visited. The restaurant is located on the east side of the shrine in America-mura. I love their lunch menu here. - Chicken katsu set meal for 740 yen - Fried chicken set meal for 800 yen (made without artificial seasonings or garlic) - Chicken tataki tei for 800 yen (served with side dishes, rolled omelette, miso soup, pickles, and rice) - Yakisoba with squid set meal for 820 yen (topped with homemade sauce, yuzu or lemon) - Grilled salt mackerel set meal for 800 yen The orders vary among customers. The first floor has only counter seats, while the second floor has tatami and horigotatsu seating. I chose the counter seat. Depending on the season, you can have hot or cold tea. They also provide hot towels. I ended up ordering tataki with an additional piece of fried chicken. The fried chicken costs 100 yen per piece. The master chef cooks alone, so there may be some waiting during peak times. There is only one staff member. Luckily, my order came out quickly. The tataki was tender and delicious with ginger soy sauce. I usually don't eat hijiki, but it was pretty good. The rolled omelette was freshly grilled and tasty. The miso soup sometimes has cold tofu because they add it just before serving. I prefer hot tofu. While enjoying the tataki, I couldn't help but notice the fried chicken of the person next to me, so I added an extra piece. Squeezing some yuzu and sprinkling salt on it, it was delicious as always. The tea pot on the table allowed me to refill my tea whenever I wanted, which was convenient. It was so delicious that I might end up coming back for the fried chicken set meal or squid yakisoba next time.

I'm full after enjoying a delicious course meal! The whole turnip cooked in dashi broth was so tender, with miso sauce in the middle for an impactful dish. It was a fun night out with friends, and I had a great time.

Hello♪ This is Minori Baba (*^▽^*). It's been a while since I last posted, even though I've been visiting this place regularly. This shop always makes my dreams come true if I tell them my preferences when making a reservation. This time, I requested to eat lots of Otoro, Uni, and also have some white rice and miso soup. They prepared a dreamy "Otoro Special Sashimi Set" for me (≧▽≦). They served me Kamatoro, which is beautifully pink and melts in your mouth. Along with freshly cooked rice and a big miso soup with clams. And they even gave me one piece of Uni, which was sweet and delicious. I made a self-serve Uni bowl with the rice! In addition, there were other items like Rock Oysters, Pacific Saury, Conger Eel, Squid, Scallop, etc... A plate full of seafood delights !(^^)! This incredibly satisfying sashimi set can only be enjoyed here☆ I was completely satisfied. Thank you for the meal~♪※Even if you make requests, they won't compromise on the quality of ingredients and won't serve them if they're not up to par. The shop owner's dedication to food is impressive. Wonderful service for customers (≧▽≦)

There is no signboard at the storefront! The signboard with the name of the restaurant is located on the side street. The lunch plate is available at the front of the store, so it may be a hidden gem for lunch. I visited in the early afternoon. Inside, there are 8 counter seats. Perfect for dining alone! There is also a second-floor seating area. The lunch options are all reasonably priced at 700-750 yen, including chicken cutlet, fried chicken, chicken sashimi, fish, and yakisoba. I ordered the healthy chicken sashimi. The freshly made rolled omelette was a nice touch. The hijiki side dish was delicious and complemented the rice well. The chicken sashimi was thick and generous, with about 10 slices and around 150g. It was served medium rare! I enjoyed dipping it in ginger soy sauce. This place seems to be quite popular and may get crowded at times. It's all about timing. I look forward to trying the fish or fried chicken next time. Thank you for the meal!

It was a dish that hit the spot for me. The seasoning was to my liking, and it was a satisfying meal overall. The focus seemed to be more on the composition and taste rather than the presentation. We made a reservation for two people. The location was good, but the entrance was a bit hard to find at first. The first floor of the restaurant only had counter seats. There is also a second floor, which I heard is like a small room. We sat at the counter seats. The appetizers came out first. The taste of the appetizers made me want some sake. They had a good selection of Japanese sake, including some popular ones. We ordered a sashimi platter for 1-2 people for 1800 yen, deep-fried leeks for 600 yen, crispy potato salad for 600 yen, miso-marinated codfish for 950 yen, and a clay pot rice dish with oysters for 2500 yen. The kitchen was visible, and they were working hard in there. The clay pot dish at the end was quite substantial. It could easily be shared among 3-4 people. It was a satisfying way to end the meal. Thank you for the feast.

I have a favorite restaurant in Shinsaibashi where I like to go for lunch. The first time I went, I saw a photo menu outside with grilled squid yakisoba, but when I went inside, they told me they didn't have it that day. I thought about trying again another time, but it turns out they had to stop serving the grilled squid due to rising costs. So, I ended up ordering the fried chicken and sashimi, which were delicious, and I kept going back for them. However, today when I walked in, I was surprised to smell yakisoba cooking! I couldn't resist and ordered the yakisoba instead of the fried chicken I had planned on. But I still wanted the fried chicken, so I asked if I could have a couple of pieces on the side. The owner kindly agreed, and I ordered the grilled squid yakisoba, 2 pieces of fried chicken, and a small rice. I was excited! The owner was making a rolled omelette that looked delicious. The meal was served hot and included the yakisoba, 2 pieces of fried chicken, small rice, miso soup, and pickles. The rolled omelette was also served once it was ready. The fried chicken was crispy and hot, without any artificial seasoning. The yakisoba was cooked perfectly with tender squid and a flavorful sauce, not too heavy, more like an adult version of yakisoba. Squeezing some yuzu instead of lemon over it added a nice touch. I still love coming here for lunch. I haven't tried the grilled fish or chicken cutlet yet, but I see many people ordering them. I will definitely be back next week.

The other day, I went back to a restaurant I hadn't been to in a while because it was full last time I tried to go. I first went in because the sign caught my eye. I wanted to try the sword tip squid yakisoba. However, it seems they don't serve it anymore because sword tip squid is expensive. They also don't include garlic in their fried chicken. But sometimes I just crave chicken sashimi and rolled omelette, so I end up going back. This time, I was in the mood for sashimi. There were about 10 seats at the counter on the first floor. There is also seating on the second floor, but it might be a bit awkward in a skirt with the traditional flooring. The sashimi set meal costs 770 yen. However, if you choose a small portion of rice, it's 50 yen cheaper. I think women would be satisfied with the small portion. I, being a big eater, opted for the regular portion. The sashimi, hijiki seaweed, rolled omelette, miso soup, rice, and pickles were all delicious. I don't usually like hijiki seaweed, but I eat it here. They provide a hot towel and there are several teapots on the counter with both hot and cold tea depending on the season. When the rolled omelette runs out, they cook more right in front of you, which is both entertaining and satisfying when the freshly cooked one is served. Getting change from a 1000 yen bill is appreciated.

I noticed for the first time that the store sign, the counter on the first floor, and the walls on the second floor were all leaf-themed at the shop I visited after a long time. The second floor is almost like a private room, although there are no doors, it can be reserved. The interior design was great, but the appetizer before the meal was excellent. If the appetizer is this exciting, it's really wonderful. Just with this, the rating should be above 3.5! The interior design also raises the excitement level, which is very important. What is crucial for a Japanese-style izakaya restaurant? These two things are very important and can make the evaluation vary. The Ryukyu glass with Japanese sake in it also looks nice, with a subtle color that creates a transparent feeling. The refraction of light creates a great atmosphere. It had been a while, but I was satisfied. It's a wonderful Japanese restaurant in America-mura, the only one that serves authentic Japanese cuisine.

Good evening! I'm Minori Baba, a candy sculptor. I visited the restaurant "Nonoka" in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. I had requested oysters, cod, and hagfish, and they prepared them for me! I was so happy! The beautifully crafted appetizers were delicious. The fresh sashimi was amazing. The hagfish liver was rich and tasty! The raw oysters were also delicious. The grilled cod milt had a hint of buttery aroma. The miso-marinated cod was fatty and tender. I knew I would want white rice, so they even prepared that for me. I ended up having two servings. And then I had the clay pot rice with oysters, which was delicious. For dessert, I had chilled sweet red bean soup and vanilla ice cream. Every dish was carefully made with quality ingredients. The homemade karasumi (bottarga) was not too salty and full of umami. I loved the onion and dried baby sardine salad with their special dressing. I could eat it endlessly. The rolled omelette was fluffy and satisfying. I enjoyed dipping it in the broth. This small restaurant is best visited with a reservation. Enjoy your meal!

One of the landmarks in America-mura is a Japanese restaurant right next to a shrine. The storefront is understated and easy to miss, so you need to pay attention or you might just walk past it. There is a menu sign outside, which is the entrance, and you have to open the heavy sliding door to enter. The first floor only has a counter, and there seems to be a second floor as well. The lunch menu offers several set meals, which are pretty standard without anything particularly unique. The customers are surprisingly normal for America-mura, although there were some host-like people the last time I visited. The food is delicious, as you would expect from a traditional Japanese restaurant. The real charm of this place might be best experienced at night rather than during the day.
