This year, I was able to enjoy various cookies and it was a happy year. I had the cookies from my admired Kaishindo, the ones from Tokyo thanks to a friend, and I even got to try the ones from Kyoto after waiting for 3 months. I am thinking of making my own cookies for New Year's gifts and for guests during the year-end and New Year holidays, but it's also good to have some store-bought ones just in case. My Cookies 18-pack for 3,307 yen from Senya Tokyo. It has the same unchanged taste from the old days. Unlike Kaishindo's cookies that you can't eat right away even if you want to, Senya's cookies can be enjoyed anytime. In that sense, it's valuable and maybe not so trendy now, but I hope they continue making and selling them at department stores. I have always liked and still like Linzer cookies.

It's a comforting taste. It may not be very familiar in Kansai, but it seems to be famous in Kanto. It's a nostalgic, homemade taste. This time, it was a collaboration product with Christmas Company in Daikanyama, Tokyo, and it included cookies with Santa's baked stamp. The taste is really comforting to eat. Not too sweet, but not lacking in flavor either. It feels like old-fashioned homemade cookies. This time it was 1050 yen including tax, but I think it was a good purchase. It may not appeal to everyone, but those who know will recognize it as Izumiya's cookies.

I bought an assortment of various items. To be honest, I thought it was just average. It felt a bit dry, like it absorbed moisture quickly. The flavor was not too sweet, just right, but the dryness when eating was a bit like drinking coffee, which might be good. I ate it in the car when I was hungry and didn't have any drinks. I prefer something with a bit more moisture. So, I think it's just average. The taste is just right, not too sweet.

I purchased this at the Savignac exhibition. Isn't this the cookie from Izumiya~! So nostalgic!! Back in the Showa era, we used to receive it as a gift or souvenir, and the cookie shaped like a lifebuoy inside the can had a special feeling to it. It wasn't exceptionally delicious, but my siblings and I would fight over it (the one who opened it first would win). Christmas Company was also a trend around the time of the change from Showa to Heisei. When you bought Takarabune's Christmas cake, you would receive a plate as a gift. I'm getting off topic though (^ ^;; Now, Izumiya and Christmas Company. The link between the two is... Savignac! It's a design can from Savignac. There's also a printed cookie included. It's more like a hard biscuit than a cookie. It's a bit low on butter. In the past, there were stick-shaped cookies with a salty cheese flavor, but now the cheese flavor is toned down. Castella rusk has been added. The meringue-baked ones are no longer included. It goes well with both coffee and tea. From reading other people's reviews, it seems that it's not considered very delicious and not everyone likes it. Maybe because it's not as moist as expected when eaten as a cookie? Even though the contents have been renewed (which wasn't necessary), I still love it~♬ This isn't something made specifically for the Savignac exhibition, but it seems to be available every year in late autumn to early winter, as it's a Christmas-themed can from Izumiya.
