(2010.3)I visited this place after a long time. In the past, I always drove myself and used it as a place to have a meal, but this time I decided to use a driver (happy) and enjoy it like an izakaya! First, beer! It's my first order! It's not a big deal, but (laughs) it came with "sesame tofu." The balance with the salmon roe was just right and delicious. Sashimi assortment "bamboo" for 2000 yen includes sea bream, mackerel, tuna, squid, octopus, salmon, and scallops. However, all of them lacked freshness. They were not firm and had a slight fishy smell. "Kisu tempura" had a thick coating and lacked a crispy texture. There was also a slight raw smell. "Grilled yellowtail collar" for 800 yen was tasty, but when compared to what I had before, it fell short in terms of the fluffiness and the separation of the flesh. It also lacked freshness. "Red snapper head soup" for 1000 yen also had a lingering raw smell. The flavor didn't penetrate well, and you had to eat it while soaking the flesh in the soup to taste it. Furthermore, the snapper itself lacked flavor, so without the soup's taste, it didn't seem delicious. It was the middle day of a 3-day weekend. Perhaps the fishing was on break, as the fish lacked freshness. The "title" I gave before is sad... The overall score of 4 points from the past has also gone down ↓ (2008.11) This is an izakaya where you can enjoy delicious seafood. It is located about 2 km from a large intersection with Futashima Post Office towards Ashiya. It may be a somewhat inconvenient location, but it is along a major road, so many people may have seen it. Although it is an izakaya, it is inconvenient without a car, so they also have a variety of set meal menus, making it easy to just have a meal. The staff are attentive and will ask if you are here for just a meal if you don't seem like you're here to drink. Today's appetizer was marinated horse mackerel. A good restaurant always has delicious appetizers, right? This place is one of those. I ordered the red snapper head soup set meal, blowfish tempura, and eggplant gratin. The red snapper head soup set meal includes red snapper head soup, rice, miso soup, sashimi, chawanmushi, salad, ohitashi, and pickles. The red snapper head soup comes in a large dish and is quite substantial for 1200 yen. The flavor of soy sauce and mirin has soaked in just right, making it very delicious. The blowfish tempura consists of three large pieces and four pieces of vegetable tempura. The eggplant gratin is surprisingly large, with a strong cheese flavor that is delicious. There are many other menu items available, and I would like to try them all one by one.
