I had never entered the upper floors, so I had never noticed 'kawara CAFE&DINING FORWARD' until I happened to come across it while looking for a restaurant open at the end of the year. I was surprised to find such a spacious cafe on the 6th floor of the new building with about 80 seats arranged with tables, sofa seats, and a corner with glass windows allowing natural light to create an open and cozy atmosphere. The overall warm wooden decor adds to the comfortable feel, and the place is often filled with groups of women, mom friends, and couples. The lunch menu offers a variety of dishes including traditional Japanese set meals, loco moco, and taco rice, but I decided to try the "Special Rich and Tasty" Napoletana with options like a simple version, one with a fried egg on top, and one with a hamburger patty. I chose the "Special Rich and Tasty Napoletana with Meat Sauce and Hamburger Patty." The Napoletana was served on a retro silver plate with a larger hamburger patty than expected on top. Although the patty lacked the grilled aroma and texture I hoped for, the Napoletana itself had thick noodles cooked perfectly, generous bacon, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, and a flavorful sauce combining ketchup and tomato sauce with sprinkled cheese, creating a delicious and balanced dish.

The restaurant has more tables for 4 people and not many counter or 2-person seats, so dining alone can feel a bit awkward.

It is not a one-order system, but a one-drink system, so you have to pay for drinks separately from your meal. If you choose a dessert set, it will cost around 2100 yen for a meal, a drink, and a dessert. It's a bit on the expensive side. It was my first time experiencing a one-drink system.

I occasionally visit kawara CAFE & DINING FORWARD. I like it because it is bright and open during lunchtime. The staff are friendly and keep a comfortable distance. I always order the taco rice, which is colorful and delicious. I had a meal, did some work, and enjoyed some sweets. Everything was delicious. Just like the original cafe, this place is stylish yet cozy. I sat at a table by myself and was able to reach for magazines to read while waiting. When I arrived around 2 PM, most people were enjoying items from the cafe menu. I ordered the "daily lunch special (1000 yen)" and a draft beer using my voucher. The main dish of the daily special was a generous portion of vegetables with pork in chili sauce. The meal came on one tray with unlimited rice and miso soup, making it a good choice for men as well. The side dishes included simmered okra, lotus root kinpira, and simmered vegetables without meat. There was also plenty of stir-fried pork belly with vegetables, shredded cabbage, and other healthy options. The miso soup tasted homemade and the draft beer was delicious. Since lunchtime ends at 4 PM, this place might be worth keeping in mind for when you need a backup plan.

Eretan (HKT's Airei Sakamoto) came to Kawara Cafe on the 6th floor of Shin-Kan Parco because she had dinner with Yukachan (Yuka Akiyoshi) and Jina (Yui Kamishina). The beer is Super Dry, even the staff are Super Dry (laughs). My wife and daughter are saying it's delicious! Delicious! But I can't enjoy my 68℃ pork! They say it's cooked at low temperature, but it's clearly just pre-cooked pork with sauce poured on top!! Hey! This is no good! The highball isn't fizzy enough! The grumpy old man, feeling out of place, mutters in his mind, "I want to go home quickly..." And so it goes.
