The food, which I had thought was just okay before, was surprisingly good this time. The green onion tempura was tasty, and the lightly pickled Chinese yam was also delicious! I entered the restaurant on a regular Wednesday at 1:00 PM. I have been visiting this area once a month during lunchtime for a year because there is a dog grooming salon in Kabuto 4-chome. I was planning to order the popular Manmaru bento from the menu photos, but it was sold out, so I ordered the sirloin steak set and a highball instead. The steak was served pre-sliced with rice, pickles, miso soup, and dried radish. The meat was thin, but thanks to the grated onion sauce, it was tender and flavorful, and I enjoyed it. There is a cheap steak restaurant nearby with a larger portion of meat, but I prefer this place. The meat had a strong flavor and the sauce was delicious, so I ended up finishing the rice and leaving a few pieces of meat. Additionally, I didn't notice when entering or on the menu, but when I looked at the receipt, I saw that the highball on Wednesdays is half-price at 175 yen! So cheap! I got excited and ordered some grilled chicken skewers and ended up drinking 4 highballs. The highballs were on the stronger side, which I liked. It was great! I decided to schedule my dog's grooming for every Wednesday from now on.笑

I visited around 7:00 p.m. on a weekday. The restaurant was about half full. I started with a large bottle of Sapporo Lager for 598 yen (excluding tax), which is quite cheap! I'm not a fan of the QR code ordering system that is common these days, as it can be a hassle when drinking. My wife often has trouble ordering because the signal is bad with Rakuten Mobile. However, this restaurant also accepts orders directly from the staff, so it was not a problem. - Toro sashimi: Fresh, thick slices with a rich flavor. - Chicken thigh charcoal grill: Perfect texture and great charcoal aroma. - Chicken tenderloin charcoal grill with ponzu sauce: The charcoal aroma and ponzu sauce matched well. - Mountain yam pickles: A good palate cleanser. - Kisami dumplings: Dumplings without garlic, but they also provide garlic on the side. - Ham cutlet: Consistently delicious. - Small shrimp tempura: Smaller than expected, but not bad. We also ordered highballs and the total bill was around 4,000 yen. It was cheap! Thank you for the meal. I will come back for drinks again.

I came back to Kizou-san's place after a long time because the food was delicious last time. Every dish is cheap and tasty. They have charcoal-grilled chicken thigh, raw chicken sashimi, fried food, and more, all of which go well with drinks! Orders are done by scanning a QR code. It's a smoking establishment, so it might be tough for those who don't like cigarettes. It's perfect for stopping by for a quick drink after work!

Just had a meal in Kamou. Still under prevention measures so alcohol is only until 7pm. Hurried to a nearby shop and ended up here. Started with a large draft beer. They sell dumplings individually, so we ordered 2, along with potato salad, grilled pork, dumplings, stir-fried tripe, and bitter melon. Before we knew it, it was 7pm. Finished with three large beers. The dishes have a good amount of volume. Don't judge by the price! Just because of the price, you might think it would be a bit less, but ordering more is a good thing, even if it fills you up!

I revisited on 4/17 after working on 4/16, which was my 7th day working from home. I came to this tempura restaurant and noticed that the menu had changed. The simmered fish dish is now 680 yen, and a new option of 5 kinds of tempura for 580 yen has been added. I ordered the same dish as last time for 780 yen, with extra rice.

The lunch menu starts from 680 yen and the most expensive item is 780 yen including tax. I chose the tempura rice bowl. It seems to have 10 different types of tempura on top. You can have a large portion of rice, but I refrained as there seems to be a lot of side dishes. The amount of side dishes is amazing. Is this really at this price? I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would like to come back again.

Hello, good evening! Today I went to Kamioicho with an acquaintance! It's been a while since I've been to "Kizou Saketen" here. It seems to be an image of a casual bar. There are various types of shops in Kamioicho now. The specialty seems to be gyoza. The bottled beer is kept in a tube to maintain its cold temperature. Nice attention to detail. I ordered hormone, gyoza, and ankimo. The gyoza is quite large and eaten with garlic. The hormone is served hot on a hot plate with a slightly sweet sauce. The izakaya menu is also extensive! I also ordered dashimaki tamago, which was great to have a variety of choices. Thank you for the meal.

I went here for the second time! It was quite crowded. They asked me to wait a bit while they cleaned up, so I waited before entering. The atmosphere inside was pretty lively. If you're looking for a quiet place to drink, this might not be it. I ordered a beer - a regular size was around 380 yen, while a large was around 580 yen. I went for the large, of course. The chu-hai was also around 380 yen for a large size! It's nice that the drinks are affordable. The yakisoba was chewy and delicious, but it was quite oily. It wasn't as oily the last time I ordered it, so maybe it was just a bad day. It seems like they've improved since my last visit. The service was good too, so I'll definitely go back. It would be nice if they added some lighter menu options.

Just a bit north of Gamoyon, there's a liquor store with a bar that's not super cheap but definitely offers good value for the price! The bottled beer is nothing special, but it's good enough. The dumplings are like a simple, tasty treat, especially when paired with the garlic pickles provided on the table. This alone can go well with two beers haha. I felt a bit guilty, but I made a special garlic rice bowl with it. The potatoes with cheese seasoning were deliciously junky, and the corn had a unique flavor that I really enjoyed! The green onion tempura was surprisingly innovative! I was so impressed by it that I shared some with the couple sitting next to me and casually gave them my business card haha. This place is great for families with kids too, I really found a gem of a restaurant!

I revisited on May 14, 2020 and found that they now offer a soba set meal. However, they no longer have 10 types of tempura rice bowl, only 5 types. Soba is delicious.

Today I revisited the restaurant and ordered the mixed fry, which was quite large.

They are selling masks again as of April 23, 2020.

This year, I finally visited a restaurant that I had been curious about. It is located near Kabutocho Station. When I entered the restaurant, I was surprised by how spacious it was inside. I was lucky to receive a half-price drink voucher, so I enjoyed my first Ebisu beer at half price. The menu posted on the corrugated iron wall is interesting. I ordered the stir-fried chicken hormones and the grilled iron plate dumplings. I also wanted to try the burnt yakisoba, but I was too full, so I will order it next time.
