The dishes at this restaurant with a traditional Japanese cooking style were unique and delicious. The sashimi was as expected, but there were also many other enjoyable dishes to try. The Suribachi Potato Salad was a fun interactive dish where you mix the ingredients in a mortar to create the salad. The Takezutsu Tsukune was another interactive dish where you dip the meatballs in sauce inside a bamboo tube before eating. All the dishes had a good balance of flavors and aroma from the dashi broth. The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxing and I ended up staying longer than planned.

A new restaurant that has been open for just 1 year. While looking for a second place to eat in Tennoji, I stumbled upon a very luxurious looking restaurant near the back streets called "Nanami Nanana Denraku." The owner came out and said, "The menu here is just a small part! We also have a lot of sushi, sashimi, and other dishes!" I explained that I was looking for a second place to eat, and he said, "Second place for drinks is very welcome!" So, I decided to visit. - Toro Sushi 680 yen - Nanami Nanana Denraku 1,280 yen - Corn Tempura 480 yen - Plum Shochu 530 yen Total bill including drinks: 6,028 yen I enjoyed my meal at the counter. The atmosphere was nice, and all the female staff were dressed in kimonos. There were also some foreign tourists here and there, and the food was definitely delicious. I arrived around 6:30 pm on Sunday. I didn't have a reservation, but there were seats available so I was able to sit down. The dishes were quite elaborate, with items like fig tempura and sashimi from Harukas Tower that caught my interest. The appetizers were beautifully presented and colorful. The staff were also great, wearing yukatas.

Without realizing it, Kuramae has changed too. Even though it's my local area, there are delicious new restaurants that have opened - I'm so happy! The appetizers were enjoyable and delicious, especially the seared dish. And my favorite dish, shirako ponzu, was so delicious without any unpleasant smell. It's rare to find a place that serves shirako without a strong smell. It was really delicious. I'll definitely come back again. The oden was also delicious. I had a great time drinking from noon and enjoying a happy time.

I apologize for the half-eaten photos. Today, I had a reunion with former colleagues at a party in Tennoji. It's been a while since I've been to Tennoji, and the scenery has changed. Especially around the back streets of Tennoji, there are more shops and it's lively. I was surprised to see many young girls. This time, we ordered a la carte for our meal. We started with grilled ginkgo nuts as a complimentary dish, cooked over charcoal. We also had grilled oysters, assorted sashimi, assorted tempura, assorted oden, and dashimaki. I discovered this new place on Instagram. Their specialty is cooking thick-cut tongue in a low tone. Looks delicious!! Well, it's a bit hard to chew though haha. The sashimi platter also looks great! The menu is creative, but could use some more research. The rolled omelette was a hit with the kids, they even asked for seconds. I finally visited a restaurant I had been curious about for a while. I didn't have a reservation, so I could only stay for about an hour, but the food was delicious and satisfying.

It gives off an impression of being particular but not fully living up to it. With so many delicious restaurants around, the sashimi, for example, doesn't meet the expectations for its price. It seems like they are intentionally serving it at that quality to keep costs down, which is disappointing. I hope they improve in the future!

The calm atmosphere and the excitement of grilling your own food were both enjoyable. Everything we ordered was delicious, and I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.
