Located on the B2 floor of Shibuya Hikarie, a commercial facility directly connected to Shibuya Station. As soon as you get off the downward elevator, it's on the right side. The main store, which specializes in French fries with a focus on sweet potatoes, cuts, and production methods, is located in Hiroo, and here they sell a snack version of those French fries. Despite being in a small silver bag, they cost over 500 yen. The outside is crispy, but the inside is hollow? It has a strong salty taste... It really gives off a taste of the city.

This shop specializes in fried potatoes and is located in Hiroo. They sell fried potatoes made from fresh potatoes. The branch shop sells dried fried potatoes similar to Jagapokkuru. Leveraging the brand power of the main store, they have expanded to terminal stations in Tokyo such as Shinjuku and Shibuya as a souvenir shop. Their main products are fried potatoes in various flavors, with each bag weighing 60g and costing around 500 yen. They also offer boxed versions for gifts, with small 25g sizes inside. I tried the following: - Double Truffle Salt (501 yen): Upon opening the bag, you can smell the truffle. Despite not containing actual truffle, it's rare to find something that clearly smells like truffle. The texture is crispy, giving a luxurious feel like high-quality Jagapokkuru. The saltiness is just right, and the truffle aroma adds a touch of sophistication, making it delicious. - Anchovy and Garlic (481 yen): As the name suggests, it has a strong garlic aroma. When you taste it, the anchovy flavor is prominent, with a savory seafood taste and saltiness. The potatoes are cut into small pieces with the skin on, and the taste doesn't lose to the skin's flavor. The different ways the potatoes are cut contribute to the different flavors, and surprisingly, they are well done. It's a post-Jagapokkuru snack. The price is also similar, around 500 yen for 60g. The stylish packaging and rarity of being available in limited shops in Tokyo are also notable features. It's light, has a good shelf life, and makes for a great non-sweet Tokyo souvenir.

I needed a quick small gift and went to Shibuya Hikarie. They have sets of mini packs that are convenient! I was able to buy without waiting in line around 6:30 pm on a weekday. I bought a gift box for ¥1350, which seems to be the 3rd most popular item. It's just right for a stylish salty treat, which can be hard to find. Very helpful!

自称独り者グルメ

On this day in October 2019, I visited Shibuya. I got off at JR Shibuya Station and made my way to "Shibuya Hikarie" via the 2nd floor connecting passage. While browsing through sweets and bakeries on the basement 2nd floor, I came across a shop called 'AND THE FRIET'. I had visited 'And The Frit - Harajuku' before, but this was my first time at this branch. I decided to stop by and they had some samples available for tasting, so I tried a few varieties. I ended up purchasing the Black Truffle Salt fries for 450 yen including tax. I enjoyed them at home, and they had a pleasant truffle flavor, making them feel luxurious. Although they were packed for takeout and not freshly fried, they made a perfect snack with alcohol. I look forward to visiting again.

One day in Shibuya. While wandering around Hikarie and getting ready to head home, I noticed a crowd gathered around a tasting booth. Curious, I approached to see what was being offered. It turned out to be a specialty French fry shop. It's interesting how all sorts of specialty businesses seem to pop up one after another. I tried the sample they had prepared, and found that it was quite good. The fries were crispy, unlike the soft and flimsy texture of fast food chain fries. They came in various flavors, all with a sophisticated taste. I ended up buying the most popular one, "Truffle and Black Pepper". The packaging suggested they were a sophisticated snack for wine. Later, when I finally opened the package, I couldn't stop eating them. They were gone in no time. They were tasty, but the price seemed a bit high for what you get. While they seemed delicious during the tasting, upon closer inspection, they may not be worth seeking out. Given the location in Hikarie, it might be a fun conversation starter if received as a gift from someone else.

I purchased black truffle for 450 yen. I had been curious about it because Keyakizaka46's Yurina Hirate used it as a gift for the movie "Hibiki". The packaging was interesting. I found out there was a store in Shibuya, so I went to check it out. There were samples available, so I tried it and found that the texture was like a dehydrated Jagabee. It had a soggy texture that didn't suit my taste. I love Jagabee and find it more delicious. I couldn't believe it, so I tried a different flavor sample. The soggy texture was still there. I thought, "No way!" and decided to buy it to try at home, thinking the actual product wouldn't be soggy. The result was the same. But maybe people who like it, really like it. I think the seasoning is good.

I tried various samples and decided on this one. I enjoyed it more during the sampling, maybe because I got to try different flavors. The French fries were crispy and came in various flavors, giving a premium feel. It would have been better if they were all crispy without any dry parts. The small bag for 450 yen seemed expensive, and the fact that it couldn't be sealed after opening might be due to its small size. I understand it's meant to be a single serving size, but for the price, it lacked impact. It would have been more enjoyable with a greater variety of flavors. I wonder if having just one flavor makes it easier to get tired of it.

Souvenir series. I found it a while ago! I didn't realize they had it in Shibuya too. I first discovered it at the GINZA SIX pop-up shop and bought it. It's really delicious! I couldn't resist buying it. Dry Frites Anchovy and Garlic - 450 yen Made with carefully selected high-quality Belgian potatoes "Binche variety," these dry frites are enhanced with the umami of anchovies and the aroma of garlic olive oil, offering an addictive deliciousness. Dry Frites Black Truffle Salt - 450 yen Made with carefully selected high-quality Belgian potatoes "Binche variety," these dry frites are seasoned with Italian "black truffle salt," adding a luxurious aroma. In the end, they taste the same. I love anchovies and truffles, so the flavor is perfect for me. It's not too salty, has a nice crunch, and a hint of potato flavor. Yeah, it's delicious. I might end up buying it again.

Yesterday, I went to Hikarie in Shibuya and bought some fried potatoes at ANDTHEFRIET. This shop mainly uses potatoes from Belgium to sell fashionable and delicious French fries. The main store in Hiroo reportedly has long lines. By the way, the official website of the shop is here...↓↓↓ http://andthefriet.com/about/ It's said to be expensive, but I wanted to try it once, so I did. The shop was empty even during the consecutive holidays. I purchased a set with all varieties... it cost over ¥2,000! Hmm, it's definitely expensive. I brought it home and ate it. The texture is crispy, but the taste was a nice balance of the simplicity of the potato and a hint of seasoning. I also felt the freshness and the quality of the oil they used. However, while it is indeed delicious, I don't think I would go back for more.

And The Furiet Shibuya store on the 2nd floor of Shibuya Hikarie offers a variety of potato chips, from standard salt flavor to more unique and luxurious options. I tried a few flavors and they were all delicious. It seems like they also pay attention to the quality of the ingredients. The packaging is stylish, with different faces on each bag depending on the flavor. I ended up buying the Black Truffle & Salt flavor for 450 yen per bag. It's a great snack to enjoy with beer, give as a gift, or carry around easily.

Every time I pass by Hiroo on my bike on weekends, I see a line of people at that store. So that's And The Friet! Discovered at "Shibuya Hikarie". They use Binche potatoes to make DRIED FRIET. There are various flavors and they let you sample them. I chose "Anchovy and Garlic". This goes perfectly with beer or wine! The texture is crispy like high-end "potato chips". This is delicious! When it comes to French fries, calories are a concern but this flavor is 334kcal per bag!

I heard that a famous potato fry shop's pastry shop opened in Shibuya Hikarie, so I stopped by. There were various samples available for tasting, and I tried them all. They were all delicious. However, the prices were a bit high. The texture and taste were similar to Jagapokkuru. It's not something you can easily buy on a whim, but I would consider stopping by again for a souvenir or when I crave potatoes.

I purchased these as souvenirs. It was my first time visiting a store outside of Hiroo. The packaging is stylish and the shop's bag is fashionable. These chips are a bit luxurious. I bought the Anchovy and Garlic flavor and the Double Truffle Salt flavor. Both have a salty taste and a nice aroma that pairs well with beer. The scent is also amazing.

This is my favorite potato snack shop. I bought it as a gift for my friend. It's light, stylish, delicious, and I'm sure no one would be unhappy to receive it as a gift. There are five flavors, and I purchased a box with small bags of all flavors ♡

This is a French fry specialty store in Hiroo, known for having long lines. The store has 7 locations: Hiroo Main Store, Nagoya Mitsukoshi, Shibuya Hikarie, GINZA SIX, Ikebukuro Tobu Department Store, Shinjuku NEWoMan, and Tokyo Solamachi. At the Hiroo Main Store and Nagoya Mitsukoshi, you can enjoy crispy fried potatoes with 10 different dips. I received a souvenir gift box called "DRIED FRIET Gift Box Mini 5PACKS ¥1400" in late January. It's basically a snack. The box contains 5 small bags of different flavors, and if you were to buy them individually, it would cost ¥2440, so this box is quite a deal. The fries are slowly dried in a vacuum fryer to remove moisture and concentrate the flavor, creating a crispy texture. It took several years to successfully capture the flavor of potatoes and flavors in their natural state. They use Belgian potatoes. The texture is similar to potato snacks, but the shape is like a potato with skin, and the taste is rich with potato flavor. Each bag contains 25g, so it disappears quickly. It would be a great snack with beer. The expiration date is over six months. The 5 flavors in the gift box are as follows: Premium Salt (individual price ¥500): has a strong salt flavor, the basic taste. Double Truffle Salt (individual price ¥500): Premium Salt with truffle flavor. Cheddar Cheese (individual price ¥480): has a red cheddar flavor. Honey Salt & Butter (individual price ¥480): slightly sweet with butter and cheese flavor. Anchovy & Garlic (individual price ¥480): has a strong garlic aroma. As a snack, it's quite expensive, so it's better as a souvenir rather than for personal consumption. Interestingly, I first learned about this from a review by a Milevi customer, and then I received the same thing shortly after, which was surprising.
