KOHYO gives off a more urban impression rather than a common one. The KOHYO Uchihonmachi store opened on July 16, 2011. At that time, there was the Osaka Central Tax Office across the street (with a large palm tree that left an impression), but now it has been replaced by the natural hot spring hotel Dormy Inn Osaka Temmabashi. I purchased the famous KOHYO chicken thigh nuggets and the butcher's special bullet hamburger here. The chicken thigh nuggets are seasoned with apple juice, giving them a juicy flavor. Making hamburgers can be quite time-consuming, so I usually don't make them at home, but it's convenient to buy them already hand-kneaded like this. I visit many supermarkets, but this is the only place where I have seen hand-kneaded hamburgers for sale. I followed a recipe from a certain book and cooked the hamburgers for 4 minutes on medium heat on one side, then flipped them and cooked for 10 minutes on low heat, but they ended up burnt. There are Bigo's bread and also Koyo's bread available. They have a variety of hard bread and bagels as well. It's nice to be able to choose bread in a bakery-like atmosphere, unlike a regular supermarket bread section. The Mentaiko French bread is delicious because the plain taste of the French bread complements the spicy cod roe. It's great that there's no need to reheat it as it arrives freshly baked. They have two commercial microwaves in the store, which is great. It's good to have warm food available for lunch and overtime situations (o^∇^o)ﾉ They also have an ice maker (for food cooling, not for drinks. Self-service). They offer wine and it would be helpful for home parties. They have a variety of side dishes, salads, and desserts. It's nice for women to have options like salads, cut fruits, and desserts. If you're short on time in the morning, you can bring rice in a bento box and buy side dishes from the deli section. Bento boxes and side dishes purchased around noon are slightly warm. It gives a sense of reassurance knowing that they were made in the morning. They also offer fried foods like croquettes, tempura, and fried foods for individual purchase. You can create a unique dish like tempura udon/soba by combining cup noodles with tempura. The checkout line may be long despite the fast flow, so it's better to make quick decisions to enjoy a leisurely lunch. Although it's a supermarket, the store layout (bento corner right at the entrance) suggests that they cater to the lunchtime needs of office workers. It's a convenient store for those who want to quickly grab lunch.
