【Takeout】Established in 2004, Shinwa Holdings Co., Ltd., headquartered in Nijuhachiken, Nishi-ku, Sapporo, is a takeout specialty store known for its salted zangi. This store is located on the first floor of MaxValu Sumikawa, just a short walk from Sumikawa Station on the Namboku Line.Visited for the first time on February 13, 2022, after 6 pm. I sang the song "Otsukare-chan" and was asked to order dinner. Let's go out now. Today as well, it's time for a sale (any skewer for 88 yen each). Bought skewers, nibbled on skewers, and ate skewers. MaxValu, located in front of Sumikawa Subway Station, has a deli on the 1st floor that serves one of Japan's seven great yakitori dishes called "Bibai Yakitori." Bibai is pronounced as "bibai," not to be confused with Biei, both in Hokkaido. The Bibai Yakitori features a skewer with thigh, breast, skin, kinkan, and onion sandwiched together. It's quite delicious and reasonably priced. The combination of different parts is appealing, especially for those who enjoy offal. I enjoyed it on the bus to the airport. It's a simple yet enjoyable option for yakitori lovers. I'd love to visit Bibai again soon. Yakitori food tour in Bibai sounds enticing, along with trying their torimeshi. By the way, Bibai yakitori skewers include chicken offal, similar to how torimeshi is cooked with offal to avoid waste during times when meat was scarce. It's a wonderful tradition of not wasting meat and enjoying it to the fullest. I heard the same goes for yakitori. The variation in flavors with each bite is enjoyable. I can't wait to visit Bibai again. I was eating yakitori on my way to New Chitose Airport, thinking about when I can visit Bibai next.

When I saw the shop from afar in October 2017, there was a crowd, which caught my interest but I decided to check it out later and passed by. An hour later when I stopped by, the "Wagyu Menchi Katsu" had a half-price sticker even though it wasn't evening yet. It was originally 600 yen, so half price made it 300 yen. I was happy and bought it as a side dish for dinner. It was delicious, and it was made with real beef. Thank you for the meal!

It's snowing heavily in Sapporo in April 2017. It's not a cherry blossom blizzard, but just cold weather. I'm feeling unwell, so my husband is giving me a shoulder massage to improve my circulation. We bought some "White Zangi" in Sumikawa, which won the gold prize at the 7th Karaage Grand Prix. Normally, we buy it at the Big House store near Munich Bridge, but this was our first time trying the White Zangi here. It was crispy, unlike the moist texture of the Big House's Zangi. The taste was the same, but the difference was noticeable. I'm a fan of "En" restaurant regardless! It was great to have this as a side dish for dinner.

The pork belly with sauce has a sweet and firm fatty taste, complemented by a solid lean meat and crispy green onions. The raw tsukune with sauce has a chewy and bouncy texture, with a good balance of flavors. The gizzard has a crunchy texture and a unique umami and aroma that is irresistible to gizzard lovers. The store is crowded with customers trying to take advantage of the set meal deals as closing time approaches. The staff are friendly, but the service is a bit rough. I prefer the thigh meat Zangi over the breast meat Zangi. The yakitori assortment comes with 8 skewers, including a mix of "barbecue, Zangi, and fried foods." Personally, I prefer a random mix rather than having many duplicates. The fatty sweetness of the belly meat is followed by the sauce's green onion, which is sweet due to the seared surface, but the rest is mostly raw, which can be overpowering. The texture of the meat varies depending on the part, with some being tender and some being tough. Some are well-grilled on the surface, while others are still soft and chewy inside. The skewered meatballs are in the shape of maracas as usual, with a moderate tenderness and including cartilage. Stopping by on the way home from work for a drink, this place is a good spot for an evening drink and snack. Thank you for the meal.

In October 2016, there is a yakitori restaurant inside the MaxValu store along the Hiranai Street. On this day, the shrimp fry is half price, so I bought 6 pieces because I love shrimp fry. The shrimp fry is big with a crispy and thick batter. The shrimp itself is smaller than expected, but the seasoned batter is tasty. However, after eating 2 pieces, it felt quite heavy. It's a shrimp fry that you might want to put in a bento box. Thank you for the meal! ✿ฺ(๑´ڡ`๑)✿ฺ.

I sometimes feel like eating Bibai yakitori. Since I didn't have much time, I thought about getting some wings quickly, but my hands would get dirty and it would be messy, so I decided to try Bibai yakitori along with chicken gizzards and liver. I decided to eat them right away in the parking lot of MaxValu Sumikawa store. The sweet and salty sauce had a strong sweetness, so I felt that a simple seasoning with a moderate amount of salt and pepper would be better. The meat itself was quite tasty without any unpleasant smell or taste, but it felt like the sauce was overpowering the flavor of the meat. Although this kind of sauce is not bad once in a while, I feel that it would be more enjoyable and easier to eat if it was a bit lighter, allowing the taste of the meat to come through more. The service was not bad, but the skewer on the side I was holding had sauce stuck to it, and the plastic bag also had sauce stuck to it, so I hope they can improve on that kind of sloppiness. ☆☆☆ Next time on the preview ☆☆☆ I may also order takeout from a different restaurant like Zangi.

In June 2015, Ebetsu Yakitori and Delicatessen En is a takeout specialty store. It is a local chain in Sapporo. It is available at Big House, which is part of the Aeon group, as well as supermarkets like Aeon and Lals in Hokkaido. They sell grilled chicken and fried chicken, mainly in the eastern part of Sapporo. Their popular "Salt Zangi" is a registered trademark at the Patent Office, so other stores cannot use the name. The store is located on the first floor of the MaxValu Sumikawa store along Hiragishi Street in the Minami Ward of Sapporo. For details on the location, please check on Tabelog. Each En offers daily deals, with the Zangi often being 30% off. On this particular day, the "Soy Sauce Momo Zangi" was the discounted item. When I mentioned to the staff that the "Young Chicken Half-Fried" is never on sale, they confirmed that it's always at regular price. However, I decided to buy it from En after a long time. I also bought the "Wagyu Menchi Katsu." The "Young Chicken Half-Fried" was relatively light and crispy, with a slightly strong saltiness and juicy meat. It goes really well with beer. The price is 638 yen per piece. The "Wagyu Menchi Katsu" is a small-sized croquette with a decent amount of meat and a good taste. The price is 130 yen per piece. This time, the "Young Chicken Half-Fried" from En was the best I've had. While it was slightly salty, it paired well with beer. I used to occasionally buy the "Young Chicken Half-Fried" from the En at Aeon Kuwazono store in Chuo Ward, which closed two years ago, but this one was much tastier. The price is also reasonable at 638 yen. This time, I give the "Young Chicken Half-Fried" a rating of 4.0 stars. Considering previous experiences, I would rate it overall at 3.8 stars. The negima pork minced meat with crispy skin meatball and tuna belly were overall average. Instead of simple salt and pepper, it had a salty sauce which I personally found mediocre. The crispy skin was also not seasoned with salt and pepper as expected, but with a sweet sauce which I didn't like. The service was good.

After shopping at MaxValu in Sumikawa, I bought half-body fried chicken here! It was a limited-time offer at a great price, usually 790 yen but now only 500 yen (*´∇`) excluding tax, so the total price was 540 yen. I also bought my favorite "quail egg skewers", just one this time since they are 88 yen each (excluding tax). I couldn't wait until I got home, so I enjoyed them in the car. The half-body fried chicken was delicious, especially after heating it up in the microwave and then lightly baking it in the oven. The skin was crispy and the meat was flavorful, with different cuts like thigh, breast, tenderloin, and wing to enjoy. I usually go for zangi, but the half-body fried chicken was satisfying too. I will definitely buy it again at another store! Thank you, "En" restaurant, for the delicious meal♪
