Exclamation Bakery gave me a hot spring ticket through their gacha, and I am grateful to use it. I visited a few years ago, but this time the sauna seems to have been renovated! The baths, especially the sauna, look brand new. I stayed overnight and the yakiniku was amazing. The room was old but renovated, creating a cozy atmosphere. The best part was the entrance where you can freely use games and have fun. I definitely want to stay here again. The day trip sauna experience was also fantastic!

Meat shop inside the inn Teiensou at Jozankei Onsen in Sapporo. I stayed at the inn Teiensou in Jozankei Onsen and had dinner there. This is a continuation of the dinner (4th to 6th courses). ・Yakiniku course "Rokudan" [4th course] Mino (beef stomach), Kamenoko (beef turtle), Thick rib finger The 4th course included not only meat but also vegetables such as onions, shiitake mushrooms, and green peppers. First, I enjoyed the Mino (beef stomach) seasoned with miso, cooked slowly to savor the texture. Kamenoko (beef turtle) was enjoyed with Tsugaru sauce. The Tsugaru sauce, based on soy sauce and using apples, was sweet but not overpowering, allowing the meat to be enjoyed in a refreshing way. Kamenoko was the most dynamic meat in this lineup, and it made me want to mix it with rice with plenty of Tsugaru sauce. The thick rib finger was also dynamic and enjoyed with Tsugaru sauce. [5th course] Kombu-shime rosu kaburi (beef loin), Colored triangular belly This 5th course had a strong Japanese taste with kombu-shime, bonito broth, and wasabi. The kombu-shime rosu kaburi was quickly cooked and enjoyed with clear bonito broth. The colored triangular belly was like diced steak and enjoyed with salt and wasabi. [6th course] Yaki-shabu The thinly sliced tender meat made it a struggle to cook and flip. The meat was quickly cooked and then dipped in dashi with egg yolk and meringue made from egg white. Garnished with shiso leaves, white leeks, and green onions. And of course, it ended up on top of rice. The elegant dashi was delightful. For dessert, I had a gentle almond tofu with a subtle sweetness. (Dessert was from the drink corner at Sakaya Teiensou shop.) I enjoyed it in my room.

I stayed at the Ryokan Teiunkei store in Sapporo's Teiunkei Onsen and had dinner there. The dinner was a yakiniku course called "Rokudan" (Six Levels). Rice and soup were self-service with free refills. The soup was sweet and gentle. If I had room in my stomach, I would have liked to try the soup with rice like a porridge. On the table, there was a stacked tray with six levels and two types of yakiniku sauce: black Tsugaru sauce and clear bonito broth. Following the instructions on the tray, you start from the first level and work your way up. The instructions detail the order to eat each part, cooking time, how to eat, and where to place it on the grill. The first level included meat shop snacks, kimchi, chanja, spinach salad, smoked salmon roll, cabbage and bacon mille-feuille, and mustard-dressed bean sprouts. The kimchi, chanja, and mustard-dressed bean sprouts made me want to eat rice right away. The second level was a chorogi salad that looked beautiful and had a sesame oil flavor that made it easy to eat. The third level included square tongue, thick-cut tongue, and salted Jingisukan (grilled lamb). The thin-sliced square tongue and thick-cut tongue were enhanced with salt and lemon. The salted Jingisukan was enjoyed with plenty of green onion sauce.

I went to a hot spring in Jozankei to celebrate my friend's birthday on November 15, 2022. I was so satisfied that I already want to go back. We checked in at 4 pm and the staff welcomed us warmly. You can choose whether you want amenities or not, and if you choose not to, you can play a gacha gacha game. I chose a plan that included seven hours of all-you-can-drink, so we quickly dropped off our luggage in the room and headed to the lounge. Most drinks were included in the all-you-can-drink option, with some exceptions that required an additional fee. There was a wide variety of sake, and the fruit sake was delicious. I had about 8 cups of sake and enjoyed some fruit sake as a chaser. The croquettes looked delicious, so I couldn't resist buying one. The crispy coating and sweet potato filling were delightful. The pickled vegetable croquette had an interesting texture and paired well with the sake. We played games like Goita and brought in Hanafuda and cards while enjoying endless drinks at the lounge. It was a fulfilling time spent in peace without children around. For dinner, we had a luxurious yakiniku meal with various vegetables and snacks to cleanse the palate. The quality of the meat was excellent, and my favorite was the beef tongue. The curry I had for breakfast was also delicious, especially the sweet steamed sweet potatoes. I definitely want to come back here! I was completely satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I stayed at a hot spring hotel with yakiniku and Japanese sake as the highlights, so I had a yakiniku dinner. This time, I ordered the basic course of 6 stages of yakiniku. It included various cuts of beef, so I could enjoy different flavors. The next morning, I chose curry for breakfast, which is said to be gentle on the stomach after drinking. It's quite unique that you can choose Japanese sake as a welcome drink! Thank you for the delicious meal!

It was my second time at this yakiniku restaurant. The first time, we did a lot of things on time, but the second time, we ended up running out of time as we were enjoying the food slowly. However, it was still an enjoyable yakiniku experience, with everyone eating and having a good time while keeping track of the time. The other dishes were delicious as well, so we enjoyed croquettes and drinks along with the meat. It's a well-established inn with a concept of enjoying both food and drinks, so I wish they would stay open later at night.

In August 2022, Jozankei Onsen is charming and conveniently close to Sapporo. It seems to be a relatively new hot spring facility. The interior is chic, with a rest area equipped with computers, and the lobby is stylishly decorated with Japanese sake. The hot spring is compact but offers 100% natural spring water. It has a rock bath-style outdoor bath, and the water temperature in the outdoor bath is on the warmer side. The women's changing room has hairdryers available.

On July 31st, I had a slight hangover. I detoxed with natto soup curry at Foot Dog and then headed to Jozankei for further detox. This place is a hotel owned by the Daichi Houjin Group, which also operates the Suisen-tei, and they focus on Japanese sake and beef. The facade is chic and elegant, with a sophisticated adult design inside. The lobby even had a display of rare Japanese sake. The hot spring is relatively compact but 100% natural spring water. The outdoor rock bath is relaxing, and the warm Jozankei spring water is gentle on the body. The mineral water provided after bathing is cold and refreshing.

The hotel that is the talk of the town for its yakiniku. The system and meals are quite innovative. It's not common to have yakiniku for dinner and curry for breakfast. The room and hot spring seemed normal as if they were renovated from an old facility, but the meals are good for young people. Families with children might prefer the usual buffet-style. For dinner, you purchase drinks from the drink bar before being seated. The drinks are very cheap, like 370 yen for a beer! Other items are also reasonably priced. There is also an all-you-can-drink option, but ordering individual drinks is also fine. I chose the highest quality 7-tier meat, but even the 6-tier without the extra was satisfying. The soup and rice are refillable and delicious. The meat, starting with the beef tongue, was flavorful, tender, and had a great texture. The salt and sauce were perfectly balanced. They go well with rice. The final 7th tier comes with saltwater sea urchin to top the meat, which might be appealing to people from outside the region, but I personally didn't think it was necessary. The meat on the 7th tier was tasty but had a slightly milky smell or a unique beef aroma. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be paired with wasabi or sea urchin. I think I should have stuck with the 6th tier and ordered an additional beef tongue. However, the almond jelly at the end was refreshing and delicious, overall very satisfying. The only downside was the inconvenience of the drink bar and the restaurant's operation not living up to a top-notch standard, despite the good service at the front desk. For breakfast, there was a choice of porridge and curry, with the option for seconds. Salad, potatoes, orange juice, and milk were all unlimited. The salad was delicious both at night and in the morning. The welcome drink ticket was placed in the room, so I didn't realize it at first, but it includes a choice of coffee, tea, or sake, along with a dessert.

Accommodation use. Free pick-up from Sapporo, welcome drink of Kokushimuso and coffee. Maybe sake lees sponge cake. Dinner is yakiniku. All-you-can-eat rice soup and almond tofu with a 6-tier yakiniku set. Appetizers include salad, tanaka (a type of seaweed), and diced grilled shabu. You eat in stages, so you get full faster than usual. However, the white rice was disappointing. I wish they had paid more attention to it, even for an all-you-can-eat meal. It has a slight smell too. Rating reduced by half. For breakfast, you can choose between rice porridge and butcher's curry, with free refills. The curry is delicious, with tender beef tendons. The milk is rich and flavorful. This morning's rice is better. The free coffee is mediocre. You can see a sake brewery and buy sake to drink in your room. They have a variety of sake like Juyondai, No.6, Tsuruoka, Kokuryu, and Kido. The price for a one-night stay with two meals is very cheap, so I have no complaints. But if you're a sake enthusiast, I wish they had paid more attention to the white rice.

I used a coupon at Jozankei and had the yakiniku set meal for 1960 yen including tax. I made a reservation by phone, but it seems that advance reservation is not required unless you choose the most expensive menu. They asked for my mobile phone and home phone numbers, but I told them I only have a mobile phone. They said they would contact me on my mobile phone before confirming the reservation. When I arrived, they asked for my name, address, and occupation. They were very thorough with their infection prevention measures. The meat was excellent, and I enjoyed the kimchi, salad, and soup as well. The green onion sauce was my favorite. The quality of the meat was high! The combination of hot springs and yakiniku made the clientele relatively young. I would like to try staying at the inn next time. Thank you for the meal!

I received a day trip bathing ticket so I decided to go. There was no one else there, so it was just the two of us enjoying the place all to ourselves ♡ The water temperature was lukewarm. Since we decided to go on a whim, we ordered the 1980 yen yakiniku even though reservations were required. They said they would call us when it was ready, so we waited in the lobby playing Othello. Even though the opening time had passed, we weren't called... We were finally seated after I won the Othello game. Again, there was no one else there, so it felt like a private dining experience. We were both hungry and when the food arrived, I thought, "Oh, is this enough?!" but it turned out to be plenty. The meat was tender and there were three types. The green onion sauce was also beautiful ♡ I had never eaten so much rice during a yakiniku meal before, so my stomach was completely full. Even though the staff kindly told us the types of meat, I forgot while eating (o´艸`). I would like to make a reservation next time before going again.

There were quite a variety of meat options, so I asked for a course to make it easier to choose. The order and cooking instructions were all written in a guide, which was helpful for beginners like me. Every type of meat was delicious, but they had quite a bit of marbling, so I recommend trying a little bit of each type. Good value for the price.

Welcome.---------- June 2021 ----------Found a nice inn a little off the central road in the Jozan K area. It's a renovated inn from the building of "Keiryuso", affiliated with the Daiichi Houteiru series. Just like the previous place I visited, "Ame no Hi to Yuki no Hi", the entrance is stylish and there's a lounge where you can play board games like Go, Shogi, and Othello. There are Japanese-style and Western-style rooms in this 3-story building, and I chose the Japanese-style one. It really feels like a traditional Japanese hot spring inn in Jozan K♪ The simple and quaint atmosphere is nice. I checked the plans and since the price wasn't too high, I went for the most expensive one, the "Teizankei Shoten Premium". At night, there's a yakiniku dinner with the regular course plus rare cuts and uni sake. You can drink for up to 7 hours from check-in until 11 PM... I'm off to enjoy it. Besides that, there's a reasonably priced liquor store and butcher shop on the premises. You can drink alcohol outside of the bath area (like in your room or during meals). I drank a lot of sake in a self-service style, it was great. The 7-tier yakiniku was already prepared on the table. The appetizer platter was good, the salmon was really smoky, the potato salad had a light mayonnaise flavor, the thick bean sprouts were crispy, and the cabbage and bacon mille-feuille salad was packed with leaves. The beef tongue was thinly sliced and tasty, the thick-cut beef tongue wasn't as thick as I expected, the salt jingisukan with green onion paste was a good combination, the tripe with miso sauce was thick, the cow stomach was discolored but probably due to the time passing, the thick rib fingers were wild, the roskaburi had a good lean meat texture, the round and triangular pork belly was lightly fatty, the grilled shabu-shabu had a fine marbling that melted in your mouth. The rare cuts included the "Tomosankaku", but it didn't feel particularly rare - maybe I've eaten too much meat? I want to try the "beef seseri" next time. The two sauces were already seasoned, so I didn't end up using them... The outdoor bath was so relaxing that you could fall asleep right away. For breakfast, you can choose between curry and zosui. The curry is made with plenty of meat from the butcher shop, and you can have seconds. The zosui is rich in flavor. It feels more like a traditional Japanese inn than a hotel, so you can really enjoy your stay.

The store is cost-conscious with few staff, but through corporate efforts and ingenuity, there are no complaints. The interior is clean and stylish, and the dining area is also clean. The grilled meat is prepared stacked on the table, and drinks are self-service. Draft beer is 390 yen. Despite being a ryokan, it feels like a casual pub. The quality of the meat is not exceptional, but it is enjoyable. The cooking instructions are written on paper. There is no customer service, with only 2 staff members serving around 40 customers. However, there are no complaints. It is a wonderful business model.

I visited an interesting inn that served a course dinner of yakiniku. The dinner was very enjoyable. The course was called "Rokudan," and there were six plates already set on the table, to be eaten one by one. I had the "Nanadan" course, so there was one more plate. Rice and soup were self-service, but I didn't eat them. It was fun to follow the instructions and cook and eat the meat. The meat was delicious. My favorite part was a plate filled with salad, which helped balance out the meat. The seventh plate was the most delicious, while the sixth was a bit disappointing. I might have felt disappointed if I had ended at the sixth plate. The additional potato salad I ordered was exceptionally delicious. The curry I had for breakfast was also very tasty, so I was satisfied with the meals. The building was renovated from an old one, so it was a bit cold inside, including the bath area. If I were to visit again, I would choose to go in the summer. The total bill, including drinks (we had quite a few), was just under 30,000 yen for two people, making it a good value inn.

Accommodation date: 2020.11.1-11.2 I am currently at Jozankei Onsen. It is a popular hot spring resort that is less than an hour from Sapporo, making it perfect for a one-night stay. There are many hotels here, ranging from luxury accommodations to large popular hotels and traditional Japanese inns. This time, I visited "Ryokan Jozankei Shoten," a newly opened inn that has renovated an old building beautifully. The charm of this inn lies in two things: "Yakiniku" and "Sake." For dinner, they offer only a yakiniku course, with a regular 6-tier yakiniku course and a 7-tier yakiniku course with uni added. I reserved the 7-tier course. The 7th tier includes saltwater uni, which you can wrap in rare cuts of meat and enjoy. The meal includes a salad on the 1st tier, namul and side dishes on the 2nd tier, various cuts of meat from the 3rd to 7th tiers. You can eat as much rice as you like self-serve style. Another attraction is the alcohol. There is a 7-hour premium all-you-can-drink option from check-in at 4 pm to 11 pm. You can drink alcohol anywhere except the bath. Of course, you can also drink in the restaurant during dinner. There is a drink counter where you can show your free drink passport and enjoy unlimited drinks. It's amazing! Even without the all-you-can-drink option, a beer costs only 380 yen, which is very reasonable and wallet-friendly. The curry for breakfast is outstanding! You can choose between zosui (rice porridge) and curry, but the curry is highly recommended. I have nothing but praise, but there was one disappointing thing. The dining time in the restaurant was limited to 90 minutes with a two-part seating system. Despite ordering additional items, we were asked to vacate the table, which was a bit disappointing. It would be better to extend the restaurant turnover time to 120 minutes. Overall, I was satisfied, but I believe that making this improvement would make the experience even better. Thank you for the meal.

I used the GoTo Travel campaign when the corona situation calmed down a bit and finally went on a trip that I had been wanting to go on for a year. I chose a plan with a 7-hour all-you-can-drink option and a 6-course yakiniku meal. I took a bus from Sapporo to Jozankei. I got off at a nearby bus stop and arrived after a 5-minute walk. I had to wait a bit because I arrived at a busy check-in time, but once I checked in, I could start drinking right away. I first put my luggage in the room and then had a beer. The Black Label beer was delicious! By the way, you can drink your drinks anywhere except in the bath. After drinking beer, I went to the bath. Seeing the clear hot spring water, I really felt like I was in Jozankei Onsen. After the bath, I had another beer in the room. For dinner, I had yakiniku. Of course, I had another beer (laughs). I drank beer until I got tired of it. I was honestly surprised by the yakiniku! The quality was really high. There was a good amount of good meat, and the grilling instructions were clear. I'll run out of beer soon. It's a bit of a hassle to go to the counter to get more beer, but it's totally acceptable. The beef tongue and brisket were really delicious... the best. It's so luxurious to eat this kind of food while drinking beer at the inn. I tried the hormone as an additional order, and it was really delicious for the reasonable price! After eating rice, I also got dessert... Oh, by the way, I forgot about the welcome drink ticket (laughs). You can use it anytime while saying "welcome" (laughs). You can choose one moose and one drink, but... I can't drink coffee and tea is not my thing, so I'll have sake (laughs). From this point on, I switched to sake mode. Rare sake is limited to one glass, but other sake is okay to have multiple times. I drank until the last order at 11:00 PM, enjoying dishes like foie gras with ponzu sauce, curry croquette, and firefly squid marinated in vinegar. By the way, I was drinking at the lounge, where there is a space where you can drink while lounging alone, which was really nice. There was no alcohol in the vending machines after 11:00 PM... so I couldn't drink anymore. That was the only mistake I made. Next time, I'll bring alcohol for after 11:00 PM (laughs). For breakfast, I chose zousui or curry, and I chose curry! Curry the day after drinking is the best, right? The portion was just right. It seems you can have seconds, but I didn't have room for more. Since check-out was relaxed, I took another bath after breakfast, did my makeup perfectly, and headed home (laughs). It was a very satisfying inn. I want to go again soon!

This inn, part of the Daiichi Houentei Group located in Jozankei, caught my attention since it opened last year. I stayed using the Sapporo summer discount this time, and it was a fantastic inn beyond my expectations. Hatagononaka. One night with two meals included for 11,550 yen. Of course, you can also enjoy the Jozankei Onsen and sauna. Check-in is at 4 pm, which is a bit late, and check-out is at 12 pm. It's a relaxed inn. There is a parking lot in front that can accommodate dozens of cars. I checked in at 4 pm, and to my surprise, the room was quite spacious. There was a welcome drink ticket, so I went to the liquor store (where you can order snacks and drinks) and chose from three options, and I chose the welcome sake!! It was a Hokkaido sake called Kokushimuso. It came with a sake mousse. Afterwards, I relaxed and read manga in the sake lounge until dinner time. Dinner was divided into two sessions, and I chose the 6 pm-7:30 pm slot. The inn provides individual seating, which is convenient for dining alone. The first course was various appetizers like kimchi, chanja, asparagus, potato salad, smoked salmon, etc. The second course was a salad with seven types of vegetables. The third course included various meats like thin tongue, thick tongue, salted lamb, and more. The fourth course had items like mino, turtle, and rib fingers. The fifth course included seaweed-wrapped pork, loin, and triangle belly. The sixth course was a shabu-shabu-style meat dish. The dinner was delicious, and the meat quality was impressive. The sake selection was extensive, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The renovated hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly. It's a reasonably priced inn to experience a sense of luxury. I would recommend this place for a getaway with someone. Breakfast was served from 8 am to 10 am, and you could choose between porridge or curry rice. The breakfast included salad, drinks (orange juice, milk), steamed sweet potatoes, squid salted fish roe, tofu, and self-service. The porridge had meat in it and was surprisingly delicious. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the inn, and I would rate it above 3.5 out of 5 on a food review site.

I encountered the perfect combination of hot springs, yakiniku, and sake. I made a reservation without using GOTO and got a discount on the accommodation right away with various discounts available in Sapporo. I also received a Smile Coupon worth 6000 yen, so I could still enjoy expensive sake without worrying about the cost. Yakiniku is amazing in itself, but I highly recommend getting the accommodation package. There is no excessive service, and you can relax and enjoy. I don't want to tell anyone, but this was the best inn and meal I've ever had. The breakfast was also fantastic. Make sure to try the potatoes.

If you stay at the Suizantei Group, you can also order drinks from the inn. I found out about this recently, and it seems quite new. I explored the inn without looking at the menu first, and I was impressed by the accommodations, front desk, and sake brewery. The sake brewery is set up so that you have to use a flashlight to see the collection of sake, which is quite clever. The prices for the accommodations are also very reasonable. I chose No.6 typeS from Shinsei Shuzo at the inn, which goes well with meals. The price was about three times the regular price, but it's still a good deal considering it's for the accommodations. When you stay at the Suizantei Group, I recommend checking out the sake and shochu selection at the inn and choosing your favorite to enjoy with your meal. I stayed at the Daiichi Suizantei this time, but I really liked the atmosphere of the inn, so I hope to stay there soon. The meat they offered was also quite good, so I have high expectations for the barbecue dinner. The service was excellent, and I was able to choose my sake comfortably. Thank you!
