Located a short walk from Hankyu/Monorail Yamada Station, this family restaurant was a lifesaver as Typhoon 7 was approaching. The service was friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Aged Beef Kalbi Bowl for 1,099 yen, which came with miso soup, pickles, and access to the curry rice bar. The beef kalbi was from American cattle and had a nice amount of marbling, making it delicious. The seasoning was a mix of garlic and salt, but it was a bit on the mild side.

Visited with a friend. We had to wait a little as it was during summer vacation. There were many children. The hamburger was smaller than expected but delicious. I would have been happier if there was corn soup at the soup bar.

This time, I visited the famous family restaurant Tomato & Onion. During this season, they have limited-time summer desserts that I wanted to try, so I ordered the following: Bullet Burger & Jumbo Shrimp Fry for 1,539 yen, White Peach and Lemon Parfait for 879 yen, and Tomato Onion's summer sweets "Frasoftino." First, I cooled off with a frappe, then enjoyed the soft serve ice cream which had a refreshing lemon flavor at the bottom. The white peach was very sweet and delicious. The parfait was large and you can enjoy a generous portion, but they also have mini parfaits available.

He heard from somewhere that on the 29th it was Meat Day, with all-you-can-eat steak and hamburgers! So, the two of us went together. In the end, we each had about 5 plates. I was planning to have just one plate of potatoes, but since the meat took a while to come, I ended up ordering another plate (lol). I found the thinly sliced Misuji meat easy to eat, and I really liked that along with the hamburgers. If there's another opportunity, I wouldn't mind going again. The only downside is that the smell of oil really sticks to your body. By the way, it seems like it was even cheaper in the past (tears).

I went to the Fresh Strawberry Fair to try the menu. It was dinner time, so we also ordered dinner. I had a steak salad with the D set, while my son had a sirloin steak. My dish was delicious, but my son's steak had too much gristle and he couldn't eat it. He asked for an exchange, but the replacement steak was even worse, so we ended up cancelling it. The garlic toast was tasty though! For the Strawberry Fair, I had a Danish pastry with fresh domestic strawberries, while my son had a mini parfait. The Danish pastry seemed to have frozen pie crust, so it wasn't as crispy as I imagined. The mini parfait was okay. Looking around, everyone seemed to be eating hamburgers, so I guess this place is known for their hamburgers. We joked about it on our way back home.

When I visited Tsuyama with the "Youth Ticket 19," I was lucky enough to win a "Mix Grill half-price coupon" and decided to use it. It was a bit tough walking in the rain, but the meal was delicious! I ordered the mix grill x2 with salad, soup, and drink bar. I ended up getting multiple refills of salad because the dressings, tea, and juices were so good. It was worth transferring from the monorail to the Hankyu line to get there. Overall, it was so tasty that I hope they open a branch in Ibaraki too.

Despite the rainy weather, my wife decided to explore a new morning drink spot at the Senri Expo Park. We had heard that there was a Tomato Onion branch in the northern part of the Settsu region. So far, we have been exploring various chain restaurants such as Saizeriya in Sanyo and Tarumi, and then Gusto, Denny's, and Coco's. This time, Tomato Onion seemed to be a balanced option in all aspects. Our orders were as follows: - My order: Hamburger & Jumbo Shrimp Fry - 1,079 yen (including tax) - Caprese with Mozzarella and Tomato - 323 yen - Wife's order: Spicy Cod Roe Hamburger - 971 yen (including tax) - Cheese with Warm Vegetables - 431 yen - Decanter Wine (Red) - 463 yen (including tax) - Decanter Wine (White) - 463 yen We both agreed that the restaurant managed to satisfy both the frugal father and the somewhat luxurious madam. We entered around 11 am and left after 12 pm, only to find a line of about 30 people at the exit, indicating its popularity. The menu at Tomato Onion has a more family restaurant feel compared to other chain restaurants, with a wide range of Japanese and Western dishes. It can satisfy people of all ages and tastes. Regarding the Decanter Wine, they claim it is equivalent to 4.5 glasses or 4-5 glasses, but the 500ml line on the decanter seems to be significantly lower, which can be disappointing. The actual amount may be around 400ml. In terms of taste, the wine is light and easy to drink, similar to Saizeriya and Gusto, but Denny's had the best wine. However, Tomato Onion was the most popular among the chain restaurants we have visited so far. We may revisit in the future, and next time, we would like to try a bottle of wine. I finished my tour of nearby family restaurants. While looking for somewhere new to visit, I remembered that I went to the TomatOnion Mita Woody Town store in July 2011. At that time, I wasn't into walking or day drinking, but happened to stop by for lunch during a drive. I searched for the closest TomatOnion to my house and found the one near Senri Expo Park in Osaka. With only a few stores nearby, I felt even more motivated to go. I made my way to Expo Park and arrived at the store, which had a luxurious atmosphere but similar menu to other family restaurants. Overall, the prices were a bit high, but we were satisfied with the food. Our order included hamburger & jumbo shrimp fry, cheese mentaiko hamburger, decanter wine (red and white), caprese with mozzarella and tomato, and cheese with warm vegetables. The restaurant is located in a peaceful residential area next to Expo Park, and seems to be popular among people of all ages. I would like to visit again. It took about an hour by train to get to the nearest station, but next time, I'll walk there while I still have the energy! Thank you for the meal.

They also offer all-you-can-eat curry. With main dishes like hamburgers and steak, it's perfect for our group after playing sports. I ordered the grilled chicken and it was delicious. If you're still hungry after the main dish, the salad bar will fill you up. And for those who need more, don't forget to add some curry!

I have been using this family restaurant for over 10 years because of its warm and welcoming atmosphere that sets it apart from other family restaurants. Sometimes, groups with small children sit nearby, and I wish the staff would be more considerate and address the noise from the kids. I also think they should refresh the drink corner. The classic dark-colored beef curry is delicious.

I've been eating a lot of ramen lately, but today I had cold noodles. It's a seasonal menu item called Lemon Cold Noodles. It comes with something called Lemon Granita, a sherbet that you can add to the noodles for an extra refreshing taste. Despite the name, it's not too sour and easy to eat.

The client's location is close by and I'm stuck there from morning till evening. This is the only option for lunch nearby, so I can't complain. I ordered lunch set B with a drink bar. The lunch set comes with a soup bar and a food bar (where you can top rice with black curry). I wanted to have salad too, but the salad bar costs extra. Even the ice cream after the meal is not included and costs extra. There are many options available, but it's not very comfortable having to get up from my seat every time to get something. The hot sizzling teppanyaki with hamburger, croquette, and fried fish was the highlight and worth it. Thank you for the meal.
