Today, I came here. It's a dining place located in a narrow alley just off the main street near the Moriguchi City Hall. It's relatively new, having opened just over 2 years ago, and I've been wanting to visit. However, the owner was involved in a motorcycle accident while on a purchasing trip and had to close for about 4 months. After undergoing surgery and rehabilitation, he has now made a successful comeback, and I finally visited today. I arrived before 12 o'clock and found the interior to be clean and calm, with a kitchen on the right that is not visible, a counter with 5 seats in front, and table seats on the left. There seems to be more seating at the back, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The owner, a man in his 40s with a large and impressive physique, and his wife run the place together. The menu offers three options: "daily set meal," "sashimi set meal," and "Okazou set meal," with the option to add tempura. I ordered the "daily set meal." Today's special was "mackerel tempura." After enjoying the scented wet towel and cold tea, the meal arrived. It consisted of rice, main dish, sashimi, side dish, pickles, and miso soup. The thick mackerel was fried crisply and elegantly, and when dipped in the ponzu sauce, it was refreshing and perfect for the current season. The sashimi was sea bream and yellowtail, both firm and fresh with a good texture. The side dish was chilled tofu, which could have been improved with a bit more effort. The rice was in good condition and was finished in no time. The owner's smile and lively voice in the kitchen seemed to show his joy in being back at work. Keep up the good work! Thank you for the meal. Additional information: Prices are displayed excluding tax, wheelchair accessible, washlet available at the back on the right side, no parking available.
