Located a short walk south from the south exit of JR Osaka Loop Line Teradacho Station, and in the direction of Koiwa Station on the Kintetsu Namba Line, this Italian restaurant opened in April of this year (2021). I visited for lunch. As I was heading to a certain restaurant in Teradacho in search of lunch, I passed by this place where there used to be an izakaya, but now it has been transformed into an Italian restaurant. Curious, I decided to check it out, only to find the other restaurant temporarily closed. I turned back and decided to have lunch here instead. Due to the state of emergency, the operating hours of restaurants have become irregular, causing confusion for customers. I can only imagine the struggles the staff must be facing... Upon entering (with the door half open for ventilation), I found a bright and clean interior with about 10 table seats on the left and a counter facing the kitchen with 3 seats on the right. Acrylic boards were installed on the counter seats. Under the state of emergency, only the "Pasta Lunch of the Day" was available on the menu. This pasta lunch includes an antipasto with bread, and a choice of 2 pasta dishes. The pasta options for the day were "Spaghetti with Salsiccia and Broccoli" or "Spaghetti with Firefly Squid and Edamame Puttanesca Sauce." I opted for the Salsiccia and Broccoli pasta. I wanted to order a glass of wine for lunch, but refrained due to the self-restraint measures. I settled for water instead. Soon, the appetizers arrived, consisting of salmon tartare, asparagus mousse, various cheese frittatas, prosciutto, and water eggplant. Each dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Although I longed for wine, I had to resist the temptation. Shortly after, the bread and the pasta were served on a round white plate. The spaghetti was generously mixed with salsiccia and broccoli, topped with freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano. The salsiccia, a type of sausage, had a light and refined flavor, and the oil was perfectly emulsified. The sauce had a subtle saltiness, allowing the flavors of the ingredients to shine. The pasta was cooked al dente, providing a satisfying chewiness. I wiped up the remaining sauce with bread until the plate was clean. At 900 yen, this lunch was quite a bargain. I look forward to returning when they resume evening service. This restaurant has exceeded my expectations.
