Near Kabukicho in Shinjuku, there is a Komeda Coffee shop located along Yasukuni Street. I happened to be nearby for some errands, but it was too hot outside so I sought refuge in this shop. The shop occupies the 2nd and 3rd floors of a building, with the reception located on the 2nd floor. I was seated promptly at a counter near the stairs leading to the 3rd floor, but other customers who arrived later had to wait for quite some time, indicating its popularity. Orders are placed using a provided tablet. I usually drink the "Komeda Blend," but on this hot day, I opted for the "Iced Cafe au Lait (600 yen)" to cool down. Since it was still within the morning menu hours, I also got the A Morning set (toast and boiled egg). The Iced Cafe au Lait was delicious, and getting the Morning set for 600 yen was a good deal. However, I felt a bit uncomfortable at my seat right next to the waiting area, as I felt like I was being watched from behind. Some consideration for seating arrangements in this area would be appreciated.

Located on the second floor, the restaurant has a very spacious interior. There are plenty of seats, and it was nice to be able to sit down quickly even during lunchtime. The staircase leading up to the second floor was cool from halfway up, and it really revived me in the summer. The interior of the restaurant and the restroom were both clean. Although I was short on time, the food came out quickly, which was very helpful. Thank you for the meal.

I have been to this store many times! It always seems to be moderately crowded whenever I go! This time, I ordered my first shave ice of the year. I got the mini shave ice with mango and jasmine flavors, topped with soft serve ice cream! The combination of the mango and the subtly elegant jasmine was really nice. Even though it was a mini size, it was quite satisfying, and I thought, as expected, Komeda-sama has great cost performance! The customers seemed to be mostly from Shinjuku! 😊

I love crispy toast, so I'm definitely a toast person. There's actually more than you think, so it's very satisfying. Eggs with spicy mayonnaise, cucumber, and ham are delicious. The eggs are creamy and filling in the stomach.

I went with my children and they ate everything saying it was delicious! The katsu sandwich and napolitan were delicious even for adults, and the pancakes were fluffy and irresistible with butter and cream! I want to visit again when I'm with my kids.

The rumored Ebi Katsu Sandwich. It's 1000 calories, so it's scary. The bread is fluffy. The shrimp is plump. The tartar sauce is creamy. The cabbage is crunchy. It's delicious. But maybe I set my expectations too high. The portion wasn't overwhelming.

Komeda Coffee is located about a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station. I went there for breakfast and ordered a soy milk latte and toast with sweet red bean paste. The cafe was crowded as it was a holiday in Shinjuku Kabukicho. After waiting for about 30 minutes with a numbered ticket, I was seated. It's a 90-minute limit for one person. Since I had already eaten at a izakaya, I ordered a mini Shironoir and coffee. The mini Shironoir was surprisingly larger than I expected, in a good way. It exceeded my expectations and I really like Komeda's quality. I had heard that the portions were generous overall, but the mini size was just right. The crispy and fluffy Danish pastry with sweet cream, the "Noir" in Shironoir means black in French, with white cream on top and black Danish pastry, a stylish naming. Dessert after izakaya was the best. The prices are a bit higher compared to other cafe chains, so I may not come often, but I would like to try other menu items again. Thank you for the meal.

It's always crowded, but this time we only had to wait a little as there were three of us, so they opened a private room for us. The staff at Komeda Coffee are known for their polite service. Caught in the hustle and bustle, I chose Komeda Coffee to take a break. The free PCR testing is on the second floor. I took the elevator up. It says strictly that it's a 90-minute limit! I was surprised that you can't use the order touch panel one hour before. They are very thorough, as expected in a big city. Inside, there are many booth seats, but the two-person seats are cramped, and you can hear whispers. It's nice that Wi-Fi is free and it seems like every seat has a power outlet. I ordered the rumored Mini Shiro Noir. It was actually my first time. Unfortunately, the limited edition collaboration item with Shiroi Koibito was sold out. The Shiro Noir is a masterpiece with not too sweet ice cream and syrup generously poured over the crispy pie. When you pair the sweetness that spreads with the bitterness of the coffee, your brain will be delighted and intoxicated. The ice cream lacks richness and has a slightly cheap taste, but it's so comforting. When you're tired, maybe something too rich is too stimulating to keep up with. I had a relaxing 90 minutes here.

The coffee tasted great and the toast was delicious. However, the ordering tablet was fixed in place and the charging outlet type, making it difficult for the person with me to press the order button. Also, even though there were two outlets, only one was usable. I wish they had the type of ordering tablet seen in places like Sukiya, where you can simply plug in to charge.

(There are apparently 3 different designs) The fluffy warm pastry with rich sweet soft serve ice cream and custard sauce was a delight. It was quite sweet, so I recommend pairing it with a less sweet drink, although I ended up getting a sweet Wiener coffee and overdosing on sugar. I want to casually chat at a cafe in Shinjuku at night. After 8pm, everywhere was full, but thankfully, this place, Okiyama Coffee, saved us cafe refugees. I had a cafe au lait and a pumpkin Mont Blanc. It was nice to have complimentary snacks. Thank you for the meal.

I tried to find a café to relax, but I didn't know any good ones, so I ended up at Komeda Coffee where I'm a bit more familiar. I remembered seeing a limited edition item, the "Shironoir Black Thunder," on the menu. I've had the smaller version before, but this time I decided to try the larger one. It was indeed big, but not too much to handle. I finished it easily. The chocolate cake on top was cut into two pieces, so it felt like I was eating two cakes. I arrived at the restaurant around 9:30 pm on Saturday for dinner. Despite the late hour, the restaurant was full, but I was seated within 5 minutes of checking in. I ordered the "Grainy Smooth" mentaiko cream pasta for 1020 yen. It arrived after a 13-minute wait. I took a bite of the mentaiko cream first. It was delicious, but I felt the portion was a bit small. I didn't need the bread, I just wanted more pasta. It was nice that you could choose the dressing for the salad. Overall, it was a good meal. *PayPay is accepted.

I had Indian spaghetti for 1,020 yen at "Komeda Coffee" in Kabukicho. This café is located on the 2nd floor of a building facing Yasukuni Street. The curry spaghetti is like using dried udon noodles, calling itself spaghetti instead of pasta, which adds a B-class charm. When it comes to curry spaghetti, it reminds me of the times in college when I used to pour curry over spaghetti due to being short on money. It contains coarsely ground meat and seems to have a base similar to meat sauce. It also comes with salad and bread, so it was quite filling for dinner.
