Tsunukko & Chibitsunu here! Today, we bought some items at "Kaldi Coffee Farm." Chibitsunu: "It's been a while since we visited Kaldi!" We got Kaldi's original drip coffee, which comes in packages with messages like "Thank you!" or "We support you!" The illustrations of a rabbit and an elephant are so cute. Chibitsunu: "I'm going to give some to my friends as gifts." Whenever we go to Kaldi, we always check for panda-themed products. It seems like there must be a panda lover among the staff, given the variety of panda-packaged items available. Besides the classic panda almond jelly, we found something interesting today - black vinegar-flavored Shanghai-style spare ribs. It's a bit pricey, but the can is quite substantial. The panda illustration on this one is super cute too. Both pandas are left-handed, so we wonder if they're modeled after Shan Shan? We also bought some "Nanjamonja" senbei (spicy cod roe flavor) because the packaging was so amusing. Every year around this time, they release a sakura dessert with a hint of cherry blossom flavor in agar jelly. It's delicious, especially when topped with vanilla ice cream and strawberries. Now, here's some campaign information from Kaldi!! From January 13th to 31st, for every purchase of 2000 yen or more (including tax), you'll receive an "Original Eco Bag." There are four colors available (black, red, light blue, yellow). Chibitsunu: "Chibitsunus got the black one!" We actually didn't know about the campaign when we went, but we were lucky to get the bag. It's quite spacious when opened, so we can fit a lot in there. Chibitsunu: "It's until January 31st, so hurry if you're interested!"

Ta-da! These are all the snacks I bought at Kaldi the other day. There's the classic panda almond jelly and the seasonal limited edition lemon milk pudding. Kaldi's snacks are all cute and delicious, so they're my favorite. I was looking for more panda-themed items, and I found this! It's almond jelly liqueur. It's interesting how the almond jelly I always buy has turned into a liqueur. A panda with flushed cheeks from drinking alcohol. The taste is like a sweet dessert drink and it was delicious. This time I was also looking for sweet chili sauce - Kaldi has a wide variety of ethnic ingredients and seasonings. It's a popular product, with lots of them displayed in the store. I'm going to use this for Singapore chicken rice sauce. I also bought some other seasonings. Spicy shrimp salt. It's been getting a lot of attention on social media as a "versatile seasoning for 100 yen" and there have been reports of it selling out, so I bought it right away - a combination of shrimp and chili salt, perfect for making fried rice or pasta. Looking forward to trying it. On another day, when I visited Kaldi, I found panda almond jelly flavored dacquoise, so I got it! It had a crispy and fluffy texture with almond-flavored cream sandwiched inside, and it was delicious. Lately, Kaldi has been coming out with more and more panda-themed items, so we can't relax our panda hunting efforts. So, for tonight's dinner, let's have Singapore chicken rice! Singapore chicken rice is a Southeast Asian dish where steamed chicken is placed on rice cooked in chicken broth and served with an ethnic sauce. I love it, so I make it occasionally - I've introduced the recipe in my blog before, so check it out! The rice is jasmine rice, which I bought at Kaldi. It has a wonderful aroma, and using it makes the dish more authentic. I prepared two sauces - sweet chili sauce in the front and ginger sauce in the back. Sweet chili sauce can be used as is, but adding lemon or other citrus for acidity is nice. The ginger sauce is homemade. By the way, I usually squeeze lemon over the chicken, but this time I used sudachi I received from my friend Nunu-chan (→here). I used sudachi in both sauces this time. Surprisingly, sudachi goes well with it, so I was surprised!

I am currently hooked on the Lemon Series (lol) at this restaurant. It's delicious and refreshing, easy to eat! Located in Tennoji MiO, it's convenient for shopping and grabbing a coffee on the way home, but lately I've been getting the Lemon Series! The Lemon Cold Noodles are delicious! Try adding prosciutto and cucumber on top, it's really good! (^-^)/ Definitely give it a try!

Ta-da! It's a panda hot pot. Released in limited quantities on November 13th at KALDI, the "PANDA NANDA" hot pot. I went to the store right at opening time, and guess what! I managed to buy the last one just in time~♪ Chibitsunu: "You're so lucky, aren't you?" It's a hot pot for 1-2 people, with the lid shaped like a panda's face. It's so cute, like Shan Shan. The handle of the pot looks like a hand, as if it's cheering. Steam comes out from the nostrils, it's so cute~ It comes with a packet of Oyster Chinese hot pot seasoning. I can't wait to use it to make hot pot. Another day, as it's getting colder, I used the Oyster Chinese hot pot seasoning to make the trendy shumai hot pot. It's delicious and warming~♪♪ KALDI sells various hot pot seasonings, so I want to try different hot pots this winter. The panda hot pot was sold out quickly due to its limited quantity, so many people couldn't buy it. But here's good news for those people! The information about the re-release of the "PANDA NANDA" hot pot is available on KALDI's website. → Here.

Thanks to Shan Shan, we have become panda lovers, so we tend to be drawn to items with panda illustrations. These pandas are from a series I bought at "Kaldi" a while ago. The almond jelly is a staple product, but they release various flavors of pudding each season. I got the pumpkin pudding released for Halloween. The almond jelly is delicious, but the pudding is also tasty. Ta-da! They also sell cup noodles like this. Spicy hot pot-style ramen. I had to buy it as soon as I saw the packaging because there are so many pandas drawn on it. I think Kaldi has been really into pandas lately, am I the only one who thinks so? This one looks just like Shan Shan's mother, Xin Xin. People who love pandas will definitely buy it when they see this packaging. The illustration is so well done. You can feel the spiciness from the illustration of fire breathing. It's made by Sanyo Foods, so it's reliably delicious. The soup has a good balance of spiciness and spices. I also bought this wine on a whim - Sangria overflowing with fruit! It's a limited edition White Sangria. I managed to buy one of the last few bottles. Chibitsunu: "Kaldi also has a lot of items with cat patterns." I plan to drink this wine for a Christmas celebration! Kaldi is really going all out with pandas lately, so I'll keep going to Kaldi to look for pandas.

Today, June 12th, is the birthday of Ueno Zoo's giant panda, Shan Shan! Thanks to Shan Shan, we have become big fans of pandas, so even when shopping, we tend to be drawn to items with panda illustrations. These are some pandas I bought a while ago from "Kaldi". This is the Sichuan-style dan dan noodles with a fragrant peppercorn sauce. As soon as I saw the packaging, I had to buy it! The illustration is so cute, just like Shan Shan. The face and pose are identical!! Not only cute, but the taste is also great with chewy noodles and a spicy kick from the peppercorns. I was planning to buy it again, but it's not being sold now - Kaldi, if you're reading this, please bring it back! The Bakery Panda's small melon bread. It has a melon-flavored cream inside, like a biscuit. It was delicious, but unfortunately, it's not being sold now either... The smooth and creamy almond jelly with apricot. This one is really delicious - it seems to be a regular item as it's always on display. Chibitsunu says it's recommended. Now, onto the pandas I recently purchased. This is the almond jelly drink, part of the same series as the panda almond jelly. It comes with a straw for drinking, which is quite interesting. You can also eat it with a spoon. It's also delicious. Lemon milk pudding. It was bigger than I expected, so I ate it in two sittings. It had a subtle lemon flavor and was delicious. I'll have to buy this one again too. Lately, I feel like Kaldi is really pushing the panda theme - am I the only one noticing this? I'll have to visit Kaldi from time to time to hunt for pandas.

Even though I didn't have a specific purpose, I found myself walking in and browsing various items inside the store. I usually end up buying cheese or canned goods. I always end up looking for something unique. The staff here are very kind!

On this day, I was walking around Mio and happened to pass by this shop, so I decided to browse. It's always fun to see the variety of items and wonder what they are. This time, I bought these cookies. I took them home with me. Well, there are similar products made in Japan, but these cookies had a nice straight fruit flavor that I really enjoyed. The cookies were crispy and very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I often shop here (*^^*) They have a lot of unique food items that regular supermarkets don't carry, so I end up buying too much without realizing it♪ On this day, I bought some coffee - instant vanilla, caramel, and orange flavored coffee. I've tried Godiva's flavored coffee before and it was delicious, so I was curious about this one. I'm not sure about the orange flavor... what should I do with it... haha. The vanilla flavor disappears quickly (*^^*), the caramel flavor is so sweet with milk and sugar♡ I enjoy a relaxing coffee time at home by myself, so I casually pour in some milk and enjoy it in my favorite cup♪(*´ω`*)ホッコリ~

I originally bought truffle salt because I was looking for a gift exchange item and wanted to try it myself. It was within the 500 to 1000 yen range, so I thought it was a good price. However, I wasn't sure who I would give it to, if they had any preferences, and most importantly, what is truffle salt? There was a chance that people might not know what it is. So, I decided to keep it on hold as a gift. In the end, I found a safer option and left the truffle salt at home. I wanted to try it myself but wasn't sure how to use it. Maybe it's a good thing I didn't use it for the gift exchange? I thought about using it for tempura salt or to sprinkle on meat, but when I opened the package, the smell was too strong. I couldn't bring myself to taste it directly. I wrapped it in a supermarket bag to contain the smell. Some people might enjoy the scent, but I was overwhelmed by it. If anyone knows how to use it to make it delicious, please let me know.

Once again, I tried a recommended item from Yasutomo at Kaladi, Porcini Cream. It cost around 480 yen for one serving, which is quite pricey for a retort sauce. I was a bit greedy and added a lot of pasta, so the amount of sauce felt a bit lacking and there were only a few pieces of porcini mushrooms. The porcini mushrooms had a nice aroma when chewed, and the sauce was rich and delicious. The crispy banana was also delicious and I couldn't stop eating it. P.S. The sea urchin cream was also rich and delicious.

As usual, I was lured by the words "You can browse the store while drinking coffee!" and found myself sipping coffee while looking around the shop. I came across cilantro potato chips, cilantro ramen, cilantro yakisoba, and black truffle popcorn. Wow! I was intrigued and ended up buying them. Here are my thoughts on each: - Cilantro Potato Chips: Although there was no aroma, the cilantro flavor came through while eating. If you love cilantro, you will love these chips. I couldn't stop eating them. - Cilantro Ramen: Very easy to make! Just put the noodles and seasoning in a bowl, add 350cc of water, and microwave at 500w for 3 minutes and 30 seconds. The soup is light with a hint of cilantro. Cilantro lovers will find it lacking, while haters may find it overwhelming. I felt like adding fresh cilantro to enhance the flavor. - Cilantro Yakisoba: Despite being called yakisoba, there is no need to stir-fry. Just boil the noodles for 3 minutes, drain, and mix with the seasoning. The noodles are chewy with a slightly sweet and spicy flavor, along with a hint of cilantro. Again, cilantro lovers may find it lacking, while haters may find it overpowering. I enjoyed it very much. - Black Truffle Popcorn: Upon opening the bag, a lovely truffle aroma wafts out. The popcorn has a perfect saltiness, and once you start eating, you can't stop. I always find interesting products at Kaldi and end up buying too much. This store has a great selection of wines and a spacious layout for a leisurely shopping experience.

[May 2016] Today, I went to MIO Tennoji and took advantage of the 5x points day for the MIO point card at Kaldi Coffee Farm. There were so many things I wanted to buy at Kaldi that I had a hard time deciding. I ended up buying chilled noodles and noodle soup, bibim noodles from a yakiniku restaurant, sliced ham, rich mango pudding, and blueberry dacquoise. The sliced ham at Kaldi is reasonably priced and delicious, so I've been buying it here a lot lately. With the upcoming season, I feel like eating cold noodles, so both the chilled noodles and bibim noodles seem like a good choice. I've tried other flavors of dacquoise before, and they were delicious, so I have high hopes for the blueberry flavor! The mango pudding caught my eye at the checkout counter, and the staff recommended it, so I ended up impulse buying it. It looks like I'll be able to enjoy what I bought at Kaldi for a while... [February 2016] Today, when I went to Kaldi Coffee Farm, they were already selling cherry blossom sweets. There were many options, but I ended up buying two types. I got a cherry blossom dessert to eat with red bean paste and cream, and a sakura dacquoise. The cherry blossom dessert came with coffee jelly, but I added some vanilla ice cream I had at home and topped it with cute strawberries. The combination of red bean paste and ice cream was perfect. The cherry blossom agar in the dessert was delicious! The sakura dacquoise had a cherry blossom-flavored cream inside, and it was also very tasty! Both the cherry blossom dessert and the sakura dacquoise were subtly sweet, which I liked. I feel like I'm starting to sense spring little by little with these sweets... [December 2015] It's Tsunukko and Chibitsunuu! While doing year-end shopping, we also stopped by Kaldi Coffee Farm at MIO Plaza Tennoji. Here's what we bought today. We got soba noodles for New Year's Eve soba and boiled azuki beans for zenzai. The low sweetness and the use of Hokkaido red beans seem promising. The potato chips were on sale. This yogurt liqueur with a cute cat label caught my eye. It was a jacket purchase because it was cute. This cat label is a limited edition label exclusive to Kaldi, and it's only available in limited quantities. Even if you stop by without anything specific to buy, you can always find something good at Kaldi. It's our favorite store! [October 2015] Tsunukko and Chibitsunuu here! Today, we stopped by Kaldi Coffee Farm at MIO Plaza Tennoji and bought Baumkuchen and sliced ham. We had Baumkuchen as a snack with coffee. I love simple snacks like this! Kaldi's sliced ham is reasonably priced and very useful for snacks or cooking. -Recipes using this ham- Fresh spring rolls Rice paper was also purchased at Kaldi. This summer, I was obsessed with making fresh spring rolls all the time! Genovese pasta Pasta was also purchased at Kaldi. It's delicious and chewy pasta. Homemade pizza from scratch Made a large size and bite-size pizzas. All the tomato sauce was homemade. The Tabasco was also purchased at Kaldi!! [September 2015] Tsunukko and Chibitsunuu here! Today, we stopped by Kaldi Coffee Farm at MIO Plaza Tennoji again. There was a Halloween corner set up with lots of interesting items for sale. We bought Halloween pumpkin soup (potage) and Snoopy Halloween pasta. Chibitsunuu: "The packaging is so cute!" We decided to have them for dinner right away. We made a Halloween hamburger set. I made the pumpkin soup by pouring a mixture of milk and soy milk that I heated in the microwave, instead of boiling water as instructed. It was much tastier than using hot water. The pasta was boiled and lightly seasoned with mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. I topped it on a cabbage salad.

On January 1st, I went shopping for the first time of the year! My goal was to buy a lucky bag. Even though I don't drink coffee, my wife asked me to buy a lucky bag from Kaldi. I initially refused, but she mentioned that the aisle in front of Kaldi does not allow strollers. So, I ended up going there. Kaldi has some good points such as offering free coffee at the entrance, having a wide variety of coffee and wine, grinding coffee beans on the spot, and offering a variety of international foods. However, the store is small, making it difficult for people with strollers to enter, and the way to the store can be confusing. I bought the lucky bag, some wine for home, and realized we were out of pasta so I bought that too, spending over 10,000 yen in total. I spent too much at the beginning of the year. I hope someone gives me a New Year's gift soon... Thank you for the meal!

Now, I have come to Tennoji and was drawn to coffee, so I went to Caldi. Just like Seijo Ishii, this place has become one of my favorites. Of course, I was originally looking for imported goods, but I found Hyogo Somen noodles on sale for 108 yen including tax, so I changed my strategy and enjoyed it deliciously. Thank you for the meal. When I went to Tennoji with a friend, they recommended dipping tortilla chips in nacho cheese at Caldi Coffee Farm. My friend bought some and I ended up buying some too. When we got home, I realized we don't eat tortilla chips that often. But then my family started putting the nacho cheese on top of rice... and surprisingly, it was delicious! We didn't really need to stick to just using it with tortilla chips. It also went well with fried chicken and steamed potatoes. It was all just a needless worry!

It is a coffee and imported food shop located right next to JR Tennoji Station. Perfect for stocking up on snacks for daily use. You can sample coffee at the entrance while browsing the store. Once you finish your drink, you can dispose of the cup in the trash can inside. The shop offers a variety of food items and is a fun place to visit. The Massaman Curry, voted number one in the world by the popular American website 'CNNGo', is a must-try. The curry paste is delicious, and you can easily make curry by adding your own vegetables at home. Green Curry is a bit spicy, but you'll get used to it as you eat. Yellow Curry is also tasty. The curry series never disappoints. The Honey Roasted Peanuts are addictive, with a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness. The peanuts seem to be from the US. They also have a good selection of dried fruits and cheese.

I visited the "Kaldi Coffee Farm Tennoji Store" in search of chocolate and drinks, but was surprised to find many products on sale, which were quite reasonable. Although the items I was looking for were at regular price, I ended up purchasing other items that were too good of a deal to pass up. I had a refreshing "Passion Fruit Juice" for 348 yen (tax included), which was easy to drink and had a nice fruity flavor. I also bought a "Salsa Dip (Medium)" for 198 yen (excluding tax), which is usually priced at 645 yen (tax included), so it was a surprising deal. It paired well with chips, and the medium-sized bottle was satisfying in terms of quantity. I think I made a good purchase. Some food items are on sale only for this spring, so it's worth checking out for other discounted products.

I participated in the coffee passport campaign at KALDI, where I collected stamps by purchasing different types of coffee beans. Every time I collected 10, 20, or 30 stamps, I would receive a special reward. I had forgotten about the passport until it expired, but I finally decided to redeem the last reward. I exchanged the stamps for 200g of any coffee beans, including those for mail order. I had secretly been aiming for Geisha coffee while collecting stamps, but to my surprise, they had Hawaii Kona available now. I couldn't believe I could choose this one! It's the most expensive coffee at KALDI, costing 4298 yen for 200g. I picked it up a few days later and enjoyed its delicious taste with a subtle sweetness and acidity. It reminded me of the coffee I had at a Hawaiian cafe before. It's a shame that KALDI has discontinued the coffee passport service. I miss the challenge of trying different types of coffee without duplicates and searching for limited edition options.
