I wandered into this place near my company and was impressed by the beautiful interior and calming atmosphere. I felt like I could have a sophisticated drink here. I ordered some fresh sashimi and smoked dishes and enjoyed them slowly. The master was also a handsome and taciturn man. If you want to feel like an adult, this place is a must-visit!

A 3-minute walk from Hankyu Takatsuki-shi Station, there is a delicious sake izakaya! I went there with a friend who supplies tuna, and even though we ordered other dishes, all I have is a photo of just tuna (sorry). The food and sake were delicious, and we had a great time chatting at the counter. I recommend it for sake and shochu lovers as it's easy to enter even if you're alone. Give it a try!

The atmosphere at Taihei or Yasubei was lively, and we decided to check out one more place. The next door was still open, and I thought it was Musashi, but it turned out to be Takezou. The mood was quite nice, and it seemed comfortable. We were done with beer, so we noticed they had various kinds of sake. We realized it was getting late for the last train, so we decided to come back early next time. We ended up having beer, tuna skewers, fried chicken, and porridge before heading home.

Visited in February 2017, posted on February 9th. A foodie club member, "Hatena no Chawan," was our first stop, followed by a second location with a 27-year-old assistant member. Our goal was to try the "Chi-kobu," a smoked almond cream cheese with kelp. It was incredibly delicious and made us crave for more alcohol just by imagining it. We also enjoyed a cup of sake served in a tin cup, known to enhance the flavor of the alcohol. We tried various drinks and dishes, including the Chi-kobu, homemade smoked bacon and cheese, and salted salmon. The total bill came to 5150 yen including tax. It was a delightful experience, even though our photos turned out blurry due to being a bit tipsy. The atmosphere was cozy, with families with young children in the raised seating area and couples quietly enjoying their drinks at the counter. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience at this charming establishment.

Revisiting for a casual solo drink in the evening. I stopped by to settle the unpaid bill from last time and planned to just try the "tasting set" that had caught my eye before heading home. ◆Tasting Set ¥700 (excluding tax) Dai Shinshu Betsu-gakoi Junmai Ginjo "Bangaihin" by Daisinshu Sake Brewery "Bangaihin" is a special version of Junmai Ginjo sake bottled with the lees. It is a blend of three tanks, with two being Junmai Daiginjo and one being Junmai Ginjo, making it mostly Junmai Daiginjo sake. Shinomine Rokumaru Yamadanishiki Junmai Ginjo Muroka Namazake 27BY by Chiyoshuzo Sake Brewery in Nara Prefecture This sake uses the Meiri yeast to create a smooth mouthfeel with a clear sweetness, fine bubbles, clean acidity, and a refreshing finish. It has a balanced and juicy flavor. Tsukinakaten Yamahai Junmai Muroka Namagenshu by Nishino Kinryo in Kagawa Prefecture Made with 100% locally grown Sanuki Yume rice, this freshly pressed sake is packed with the unique acidity and umami of Yamahai brewing. It pairs well with seafood and meat dishes. I personally liked "Dai Shinshu" the best. It was incredibly delicious when paired with the saltiness of the squid salted fish. ◆Sake "Sakura" TREIZE AY 90ml ¥550 Produced by Nishida Sake Brewery in Aomori Prefecture. This is a special product from the brewery, with a fruity and sweet taste and a refreshing finish. Enjoy it chilled like white wine. ◆Other Sakes: - Minami Special Junmai 90ml ¥550 by Minami Sake Brewery in Kochi Prefecture - Hyakurakumon Sae Special Junmai Sake 90ml ¥450 by Katsuragi Sake Brewery in Nara Prefecture - Kaze no Mori Akitsubo Junmai Shiborihana Namazake 90ml ¥450 by Aburachosake Brewery in Nara Prefecture I also enjoyed some appetizers and sushi, along with Ebisu draft beer, Oolong tea, and spicy cheese snacks. The sake paired well with the saltiness of the dishes, and I had a great time enjoying the food and drinks. The total bill came out to be around ¥5990, but there seemed to be a mistake in the calculation as the "Today's Sushi" was missing from the bill. It seems like the owner may not be good at math. Overall, the food and drinks were delicious, and I had a satisfying meal. Thank you!

I planned to spend time at a yakitori restaurant, but unexpectedly it was fully booked. Well, it's the weekend so it can't be helped... I decided to wander around the area and stumbled upon a new-looking shop with a Japanese-style appearance. It turned out to be a "Sake Bar." The interior had a calm atmosphere with black and white as the main colors. It seemed more like a bar than an izakaya. I liked it. There were 8 seats at the counter and 2 tables in a tatami room. Since I was alone, I sat at the counter. I ordered a Sapporo Lager beer and some appetizers: marinated clams with lemon, pickled mackerel, and smoked octopus with cheese. You have to order a minimum of two items for the appetizers. They also had a variety of smoked items like smelt and squid. They also served oden. The sake menu was separate from the food menu and had about 30 different types with comments to help you choose. It seemed like a place where you could enjoy a casual drink at the bar. I wanted to try the stir-fried squid innards next time. The menu wasn't overly extensive, but they had a good selection of sake accompaniments. It's getting colder, so I'll try their recommended hot sake next time. I'll definitely visit again.

I had been wanting to visit this place with the Musashi sign on the blue curtain for a while. I arrived around 9 pm on Friday for my second stop of the night. The counter had 7-8 seats while the sunken kotatsu seating had 4 seats each. Since the counter was full, I took off my shoes and sat at the sunken kotatsu. First, I had a draft Ebisu beer for 500 yen to cheers. The dishes I tried were homemade tofu seasoned with salt, edamame with large and firm beans, and smoked dishes with shishamo and octopus. The smoky flavor was strong, but the ingredients were a bit overcooked. I will try different options next time. I also had a daily sashimi platter and a sake tasting set with three different sakes and a crab miso side dish. The sake set was a great deal and highly recommended. I tried the Kamoshika Junmai Ginjo sake, which is known for its elegant aroma and slightly sweet but refreshing taste. The grilled squid with butter sauce was delicious and perfect with sake. The lemon marinated horse mackerel was refreshing and easy to eat. I also tried the cream cheese with bonito flakes, which was a great way to end the meal. Lastly, I had a Tamago Kake Gohan with blue eggs, which was a unique and tasty dish. The homemade sake menu was extensive and they even served a refreshing "calm water" drink, which was a nice touch. The only downside was that there were people smoking both inside and outside the restaurant.

I have been curious about this shop since it opened, and I have visited it a few times. When it first opened, it wasn't crowded and was a hidden place to enjoy Japanese sake, but recently when I drop by, there are people at both the counter and tables... It's a bit disappointing but also makes me very happy. The owner? Master? is young but manages to create a nice atmosphere. After trying Kazeno Mori, I was recommended "Tosa Shiragiku - Suzumi Junmai Ginjo." Summer is coming soon, isn't it? The label looks refreshing, which is nice for the humid weather lately. It's refreshing, so you might think it's not enough, but surprisingly, it has a transparent richness... Ah, I love it. I will come back to try more sake. Thank you for the meal.

I found an interesting restaurant after a long time. The squid buttered wata-yaki has a rich flavor and the squid is firm and chewy. It's not too heavy or rubbery, just delicious. The lemon with horse mackerel is refreshing and tasty. The smoked cheese platter with two types of cheese is exquisite. The smoky aroma and the rich flavor of the cheese are delicious! Most of all, the wide variety and well-curated selection of Japanese sake stood out. Each sake had comments written, making it easy to order even if you don't know much about sake. It was also nice to have the option of Wind Forest sake. The sake I always order has a fragrant and refreshing fizz. It's delicious as always. I am convinced that I will continue to visit this place.

There was a disappointing incident this morning. The old man with a punch perm and a little beard that I see every morning on the train had gotten a regular sports haircut (゜ロ゜;ノ)ノ There was no little beard anymore. Why? Why did this happen? He just looked like a normal, refreshing middle-aged man (T-T) That's how my day started, and later in the evening, I went to a new izakaya that opened in Takatsuki. It's called Nihonshu Musashi, not Musashi but Takezou apparently. I ordered a beer first, please give me a draft beer! Cheers~♪(*≧∀≦*) Delicious!!! ((((;゜Д゜))) I love cucumbers, so I'll have some as a snack! Yum!!! ((((;゜Д゜))) Seriously, I love cucumbers! The slightly bitter taste is great. I also had mackerel sushi, with some seared mackerel included! Yum!!! ((((;゜Д゜))) This is irresistible!!! Such great snacks! Let's go for some sake~♪(*≧∀≦*) ...I only remember trying various recommended sakes (T-T) Why didn't I take any pictures?... The snacks included octopus and squid... Delicious!!! ((((;゜Д゜))) No doubt about it. I must have been drinking sake like crazy! Another dish with squid. Yum!!! ((((;゜Д゜))) When you forget to take pictures like this, it's a sign of having had a great time. The memories of having fun are still vivid. I look forward to going back and savoring the experience slowly next time. It was a very satisfying meal!!!
