Today's second stop! Where should I go next... "Oh, there's a late-night diner!" A building with alluring lanterns and curtains at the back. Stepping inside, it's a cozy little shop with only a counter. They seem to specialize in curry and pork miso soup! I ordered the special spiced curry and the pork miso soup, which had a perfect lingering flavor. But what really stood out was the atmosphere created by the master! He was a funny guy, seemed like he would listen to all your stories when you need someone to talk to. I'll definitely be back again!

Starting from September, the restaurant has changed its daytime operation as a curry restaurant to nighttime operation as an obanzai restaurant. It's great that they are open until midnight. They offer a variety of obanzai dishes and soups, and despite being located in Kita-Shinchi, the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend the tonjiru (pork miso soup).

On 19/04/18, a late-night specialty Keema curry with a strong curry spice flavor. The sweetness and acidity of the vegetables go well with the spices. Perfect for a second stop after drinking in Kita-Shinchi.

Lately, I've been eating a lot of ramen for dinner and wanted to try something different. I found a small restaurant with a narrow entrance and decided to go in. The place only had a counter, and I asked if it was okay to just have a meal there, which they happily agreed to. The spicy curry was popular, and some customers thought it was a curry restaurant. I ordered the pork ginger stir-fry with rice. The atmosphere of the restaurant was reminiscent of "Midnight Diner," with menu items that looked similar. The young owner was friendly, and it seemed like a nice place to relax and have a drink after work. The pork in the ginger stir-fry was slightly thick, with plenty of onions. The ginger flavor was mild but not too sweet, making it a good side dish with rice. I think the meat would be better if it were thinner to absorb the sauce more. It's not a fancy restaurant, so it's best not to have high expectations. I'll definitely come back to try the famous curry next time. Thank you for the meal.

Located in a suspicious alley deep in the valley between buildings, this restaurant pays homage to the popular manga and drama "Midnight Diner". I was taken there by a longtime friend for a late-night meal after a night of drinking. Despite the late hour, the restaurant was bustling with male customers, and we managed to secure seats for two. We ordered some dishes while enjoying hot sake: Kinpira (appetizer), soy sauce-marinated egg yolks, and pork miso soup. The soy sauce-marinated egg yolks were delicious and the miso soup, made with tender pork belly, was rich and flavorful. I usually prefer homemade miso soup with high-quality miso, but the pork miso soup here was outstanding. It seems to be a seasonal item, so I look forward to returning in the colder months to enjoy this healthy and satisfying dish. Although it may be intimidating for women to enter a restaurant filled with male customers, I hope to visit again in the future.

A female colleague and I decided to grab dinner together after work, and we ended up at this restaurant in the heart of Shinjuku that stays open until dawn. It's not your typical family restaurant like Yoshinoya, but a place where you can enjoy various casual dishes along with alcohol, relax, chat with the staff, watch TV, and even if you're not a big drinker, you can still come alone at night. The atmosphere is like the late-night eateries you see on TV. The staff, though younger than Kaoru Kobayashi, wear work clothes and you can help yourself to bottled beer from the beer case in the back. We sat at the counter and had quite a few beers while having a great time. The beer was Asahi Red Star, which was delicious. The dishes were comforting, like rolled omelet, red sausages, pickled cucumbers, and ginger pork. There were also mysterious handwritten notes on the wall, like "Want a boyfriend" or "Want to be held." Perhaps written by regular customers? I'd love to come back alone sometime to enjoy a meal and feel cozy. Thank you for the meal.

Located about a 2-3 minute walk from JR Tozai Line Kitashinchi Station. Upon entering the shop, there are 8 counter seats. I quench my thirst with bottled beer. The appetizer is boiled baby sardines. I also had green onion rolled in broth as a side dish. The broth rolled up with a nice texture of green onion inside makes a great accompaniment. For the finale, I enjoyed "My Pork Soup" with rice. My Pork Soup contains pork, shimeji mushrooms, konjac, daikon radish, and green onions. It is full of ingredients and has a comforting miso soup flavor. The rice comes with country-style pickles and pickled radish. Next time, I would like to try the late-night curry. Thank you for the meal.

I was a fan of the manga and drama "Shinya Shokudo" so I was quite curious about this restaurant. I went with a friend in Shinchi-dori for some late night drinks. The noren and lantern outside the restaurant made me excited even before entering. In the original story, you can only order up to 3 drinks per person, but here you can have up to 30 drinks (laughs). There was a menu board but no prices listed. I wonder if you order based on the atmosphere like in the original story? We tried the famous "Late Night Curry" with lots of spices and shared a Sapporo Lager. The portion was quite large and had a generous amount of cilantro toppings, perfect for cilantro lovers like me! I was worried if I could eat such a heavy meal at this hour, but it was light and had just the right amount of spice, so I could eat it easily. It was fun pretending to be in a late-night diner. However, I left my friend and went home first, now I'm curious about how much the curry cost.

I'm so sleepy. Lack of sleep. Couldn't think of a fourth one (;´_ゝ`). Lately, I've been having late-night meetings and early mornings, leading to a vicious cycle of sleep deprivation. Finally done with work, time for dinner. But it's almost time for the last train, so it's either a bar or a ramen shop for dinner (;´_ゝ`). In times like this, I always end up here. Went to the late-night dining in Kitashinchi. Don't worry, it's a dining place. First, a beer, cheers! (*≧∀≦*) So good with beer!!! And I'm hungry... Asked the owner if they have any delicious food. Owner: "We do." Seafood bowl, here we go! So delicious!!! (((;゜Д゜))) Full of seafood and super tasty!!! Goes perfectly with grated radish~ Can't resist! Ok, now for the local flavor! Actually, it's from the neighboring town Himeji! But first, more drinks please! Limited-brewed Minami Hoo! So good!!! Going to pair it with the oden! Delicious!!! (((;゜Д゜))) Incredibly delicious!!! The gentle broth and ginger soy sauce are amazing! Can't get enough of it! Owner: "We also have this." Soy sauce-marinated frozen egg! So delicious!!! (((;゜Д゜))) Surprisingly delicious!!! Unbelievably tasty!!! Need more drinks! Cheers! (*≧∀≦*) So good! Enjoyed the delicious food and feeling very satisfied! The late-night dining's opening hours right before the last train are quite rebellious, but still a lovely place. Open from Monday to Friday until midnight (sometimes even earlier) and on Saturdays until 11 pm. Can't believe I didn't try the late-night curry! Next time! Alright, time to head back after three drinks! Had a great time! Cheers! (At Kitashinchi late-night dining, you can have up to 30 drinks) Fully satisfied, thank you for the meal!!!

I was introduced to this restaurant by a resident of Kitashinchi. When I saw the curtain with the sign "Late Night Diner" at the back of a mixed-use building, I was thrilled! Walking into the restaurant around 4 am, I found a small interior with only a counter that could seat about 7-8 people. Just like in the drama, the restaurant is open from around midnight until about 7 am. Inside, hostesses and host-like people were drinking after work. Since I didn't feel like having alcohol, I ordered the pork miso soup set from the menu. Just like in the drama, they seem to be able to make anything if you ask for it. The pork miso soup arrived after about 10 minutes, and it had a light and delicious taste that was just right. The only downside was that the white rice seemed a bit dry, maybe because it had been cooked for a while. But just the fact that they recreated the atmosphere of the drama "Late Night Diner" in Kitashinchi is appreciated! Next time, I might try ordering the red sausages.

Recently, there has been an increase in late-night dining options in Kitashinchi. Kitashinchi is known for its high-end clubs with hostesses and upscale sushi restaurants for after-hours, but there weren't many options for regular people to dine out on their own dime. However, places like "You no Mae" have been popping up more frequently. I found out about this particular restaurant through a friend's Facebook post. It's located on Shimbashi Street, a bit tucked away and may be hard to find. The entrance has a navy blue curtain, and the restaurant is on the second floor of Iwamura Building. They are open from 11 pm to 7 am. The place is owned by a popular blogger and the interior is reminiscent of a late-night diner from comics or dramas. There's even an old clock that doesn't work but adds to the charm. While the menu includes typical Western dishes, they are willing to make pretty much anything you ask for. One surprising item on the wallpaper menu was the Coriander Shochu Highball. I've never seen that before! I used to dislike coriander a lot, but after frequent trips to Southeast Asia, I've gotten used to it. So, I was intrigued and ordered it. It was overflowing with coriander! It looked beautiful, like a trendy Mojito. Stirring and muddling it made it even more refreshing. For food, I had the omurice. The egg was fluffy and gentle on the stomach after drinking. I usually avoid carbs at night, but I couldn't help finishing it this time. It's rare to have a proper meal after hours, but knowing about this place could come in handy.

That famous TV show "Midnight Diner" has opened in Kitashinchi, and the owner is none other than fellow food blogger Koizuka Taihei. The atmosphere is just like the show, with a retro feel and a menu that includes dishes like octopus wiener and rolled omelette. The restaurant is hidden away on the second floor of a building off the main street, and it's open from 11pm until morning. The food is delicious and nostalgic, with options like katsu sandwich and karaage. The rice is cooked in a special pot, and the toppings like bonito flakes are top-notch. It's a unique experience to enjoy such tasty food late at night.

Hello! I visited Meshiya Kitashinchi Branch, an izakaya in Osaka Kitashinchi, for the third time. It was a place I wanted to go to after seeing it being talked about on Facebook. I had quite a bit to drink, but I had decided to go today! I wandered around with an old man from Kitahama and a GPS in hand. There were various specialty dishes, but I had already eaten a lot so I ended with some yakisoba. Since it's a new opening, it seems like there will be various changes in the future. There aren't many izakayas in Kitashinchi, not just in Kitahama. Especially after 12 o'clock, they become extremely scarce. However, what's amazing about this place is... it's open until 7 in the morning!! Take care of yourself, owner... (laughs) Okay then. Meshiya Kitashinchi Branch, an izakaya in Osaka Kitashinchi. After a night of drinking in a new area, I felt like having a light meal and decided to stop by here. I was surprised to see that it was quite crowded even though it was late at night. Since I had already been drinking a lot, I chose a bottled beer. It seemed like the system was to grab the bottled beer from the fridge behind the counter by yourself. I couldn't find a menu, but I saw other customers ordering Dashimaki Tamago, so I decided to try it too. The Dashimaki Tamago didn't have a strong dashi flavor, but it was still quite tasty. You could taste the flavor of the eggs themselves. The place was bustling with customers, which was a stark contrast to the sparse crowd earlier in the day. I didn't think I would ever want to come back during the day, but I would consider revisiting this place if I had the chance. It always seems to be quite popular whenever I go. The Oden here is also pretty delicious. I haven't ordered it myself, but they can make various dishes other than what's on the menu. If you go late at night (or early in the morning), you might find hostesses having a good time after finishing work.
