Imaikisho (Osaka Station Front Building No.1, Kita-ku, Osaka) It's still hot, so I decided to explore Osaka Station Front Building again today. I found a new shop last time, but there were two people waiting in front of it. So, I decided to try a different shop. I went through the building from 4th floor to 1st floor and ended up at "Imaikisho" located near the west end. This restaurant looks like it has a long history, and I wonder why I hadn't visited it until today. When I checked the explanation on Tabelog again, it said that "Imai" and "Kisho" came together to create this restaurant in 2012, and there used to be a restaurant called "Ofukuro no Aji Imai" in this location. Ah, I see. That jogged my memory. I remember there used to be a place called "Imai" here, but I think they weren't open for lunch back then. Now, let's talk about the lunch menu. There are 3 different bowl sets available, all priced at 1000 yen each. The options are seafood bowl, beef and egg yolk bowl, and parent and child bowl. "What's a parent and child bowl?" "It's like a chicken and egg rice bowl." Normally, I would go for the beef bowl, but I'll try the seafood bowl this time (although I just noticed they have "Saga beef" on the menu, which is tempting). There were no other customers when I arrived, and no one else came in until I left, so it seems like they don't have many lunchtime customers. This means that they prepare each dish carefully but quickly after receiving the order. It took only 8 minutes. The seafood bowl consists of three types of marinated seafood on rice. The side dish was sliced pumpkin. They also served a homemade potato salad and miso soup that was poured from a server, not the usual pre-made one. Maybe the price of 1000 yen or the old-fashioned feel of the restaurant doesn't appeal to everyone, but I think it's a great place. I want to try all three options.
