I will have lunch at a Chinese restaurant called "Shafukin" in Kutchan Town, which sounds like a nickname for a girl. This restaurant was on hold on Tabelog until recently, and Ramen Database even said it was closed, but as you can see, it is open for business! The restaurant has a spacious and convenient parking lot. The western-style exterior of the building matches the snowy landscape in this area. The interior of the restaurant is very stylish with a woody decor. The "Mapo Tofu Lunch" costs 1,000 yen and comes with rice, soup, salad, pickles, and dessert. Plus, you get a free cup of coffee (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). They also offer a great service where you can get a free extra-large portion of rice with lunch sets. The tofu is crumbled by hand instead of being diced, which I find to be a good sign. The taste is a bit strong with sesame oil, but delicious. I enjoyed eating the Mapo Tofu with rice. This restaurant is really nice!

I visited for lunch. I was in Kutchan for work. I had been curious about this restaurant as I often passed by. This time, I ordered the "Half Fried Rice Lunch" set, which came with ramen, half fried rice, and salad. Coffee is self-service and free, which is a nice touch. The ramen and fried rice were just okay. I was expecting them to be delicious since the restaurant seemed busy, but unfortunately, they were not that great. I should have tried a different menu. I'm not sure if I will come back again. Thank you for the meal.

I wonder how many years it has been! It was over 10 years ago when my husband and I last visited. The timing just never seemed to work out... (´・_・`) Speaking of Kutchan, our family is a big fan of Nakama Ramen. Today, we went to Teppuukon after a long time. It was my daughter's first time. The last order was supposed to be at 7:30 pm according to the menu, but we entered without realizing it... even though it was past 7:30 pm, it was okay. (After that, two more customers entered, but it was still okay.) Thank goodness! My husband had the pork cutlet curry. My daughter had the kids' set. I had the sweet and sour pork set. The pork cutlet curry was not like a retort pouch, but it was spicy and delicious. It might be a bit spicy for kids. It was also quite filling. The kids' set included soy sauce ramen with a spring roll and salad, along with orange juice. The amount of ramen was a bit small, with a light soy sauce soup that had a shiitake mushroom-like flavor. The sweet and sour pork set had a sweet taste. I really like that flavor. I was surprised to find pumpkin in it. It also came with a spring roll, salad, egg soup, two slices of cucumber with kimchi flavor, and almond jelly for dessert. My daughter loves almond jelly, so I gave it to her and didn't get to taste it. I wanted to mix the leftover sweet and sour sauce with rice *\(^o^)/* It was a generous portion. I usually try not to eat much at night, but it was so delicious that I ate too much (laughs). Thank you for the meal!

I went to Hand Harmonica in Niseko, Kutchan with my wife for lunch. It was quite crowded on a Sunday afternoon, with most of the tables reserved and the sunken kotatsu seating area about 80% full. We ordered the ankake yakisoba and my wife had the kani-tama don. The lunch special is a good deal on weekdays, but unfortunately not available on Sundays. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes. The noodles were cooked just right, not too much, not too little. The sauce had a magical taste, slightly numbing with a hint of garlic. The kani-tama don was a bit sour, but overall, the experience was okay. We finished our meal and decided to buy some fruits in Niki on our way home.

- 3/28 First visit - Today, the weather is nice so I decided to take a hot spring drive to Niseko. It was a comfortable drive through the clear skies, passing through Nakayama Pass and arriving at a hot spring in the mountains of Niseko. I relaxed in the outdoor bath, feeling the cool breeze and letting go of my daily fatigue. On the way back, I heard that a new "village station" called Akai River Station opened in Akai River Village, so I decided to pass through there from Kutchan. For lunch, I chose to eat at a restaurant I was curious about just before Kutchan. I arrived at "Chinese Restaurant & Cafe Accordion" around 2 PM. Upon entering, there were 7 ladies in 3 groups already seated. I was told to choose any seat, so I sat at a table away from the other customers. I ordered the Ankake Yakisoba from the menu. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The noodles looked well-cooked and had a good texture. The dish was filled with shrimp, squid, pork, wood ear mushrooms, vegetables, and more. The sauce was just right, not too thick or too thin, with a good balance of flavors. If I had to be picky, I would have liked a bit more sauce. I enjoyed the dish without stopping, and I look forward to trying the Gomoku Ramen next time.

Continuing the middle-aged man trip to Hokkaido. The middle-aged man is staying at a lodge with multiple people. For dinner, they always have a BBQ, with beer in hand, turning it into a sort of party. Therefore, they don't have many opportunities to eat rice. So, they decided to stop by a Chinese restaurant for lunch. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite stylish, different from the usual town Chinese restaurants. However, the dishes served were mostly typical of a town Chinese restaurant. I ordered the crab omelet with sauce set meal. The set meal included crab omelet, soup, salad, pickles, and for dessert, almond jelly. After eating, I felt that it was surprisingly delicious, maybe because I hadn't eaten rice in a few days. The richly flavored crab omelet paired well with the rice, making it easy to eat. It may not be typical of Hokkaido, but it was a satisfying lunch! If you have the chance, give it a try. I would definitely go again.

I visited Niseko during the consecutive holidays. I searched for various delicious places to eat, but everywhere was crowded!! After giving up on a few places, I ended up at a Chinese restaurant that I happened to pass by. The exterior and interior are both Western-style and don't look like a typical Chinese restaurant (lol). Maybe they are using a former cafe or something? The food was nothing new, just typical dishes you can find anywhere, but it took quite a long time from ordering to being served. Keep that in mind when you visit!

In winter, you can enjoy the vast snowscape with a view of Mt. Yotei and Annupuri. In spring, you can enjoy herbs and colorful flowers. It's child-friendly with tatami seating for a relaxed atmosphere. They have homemade cakes, parfaits, and a variety of menu options, making it a place worth revisiting. The divided seating area is perfect for small gatherings. The menu offers good value, and the Gomoku Ramen is recommended.

Marbo tofu set at Hand Harmonica (Tefuukin) restaurant. From the outside, it looked like a pasta shop, but inside it was a Chinese-style log restaurant. I ordered the Marbo tofu set for ¥850 from the extensive menu. Lunch menus seem to be a good deal for lunch. It could also be used as a cafe. Antique Restaurant Hand Harmonica (Tefuukin) Hokkaido, Kutchan-cho, Hira 320-136-23-2330 Open from 10:30 to 20:30, closed on Wednesdays.

I stopped by on my way back from Niseko. It was lunchtime and the restaurant was spacious, so we were able to get a table easily. Since we had a small child with us, we sat in the tatami room. There was a large family of about 10 people already there, but the tatami room was big enough that we didn't feel crowded. I ordered the mixed vegetable stir-fry set, while my husband ordered the yakisoba with thick sauce and spring rolls. The yakisoba came out quickly, but the mixed vegetable stir-fry arrived when my husband was almost done eating (he tends to eat quickly...). The dishes were hot and delicious. The almond jelly dessert was also very tasty. The spring rolls were crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Everything was delicious. If I had to make a suggestion, I would say that a bit more rice would have been nice. The staff, especially the lady, was very friendly.

Temomin, but Tekokin? But that's not it, is it pronounced Tefukin? It feels like a Russian restaurant, but it's actually Chinese, right? It looks like a mix between a cafe and a family restaurant, with a white building. I wonder if they have gratin? It seems like a popular Chinese family restaurant where you can park your car. In this area, despite the population size, there are surprisingly many popular Chinese restaurants. The taste is average, not very memorable, lacking in flavor. I wish someone would review it better. Oh, I'm tired of algorithms.
